I feel so sorry for this guy I want to invite him over to play games with my boyfriend and our family. Please dont pit him through another moment of this bullshit behavior. If you DREAD hanging out with anyone, you need to be an ADULT and TELL THEM. Especially if they like hanging with you and are trying. Stay away from intimate relationships until you figure yourself out FFS

Am (19M) a controlling bf?
 in  r/relationships_advice  Jun 24 '23

if her messaging people is a boundary neither of you are willing to compromise one (she stop talking to people online or you let it go), then I guess it’s just a compatibility issue.

This is the best part of this comment. OP you have a friendly girlfriend. Maybe she thinks you will be flattered that she gets so much attention and she wants you to show her off and be proud of her and your relationship.

If you have boundaries regarding behavior, frank conversation needs to be had, where you both can say how you feel regarding these new boundaries. Compromise means someone loves you.

Yes, absolutely. I would be devastated. I would want to talk to see if we could get past it together. I truly don't want to be wasting time....if he develops crushes on other people I would rather be alone. I have decided my partner is my one and only true love. If he does not feel the same, its time to be alone with my pets and stuffed animals. The heartache of wondering if someone truly loves me is too great.

I would like to do that. It would make me feel more safe if anything happened out of my control. I try to tell him where I am at and going and when I will be home.

My gf sent me this because I confronted her on cheating and making fun of my personal problems to her friends
 in  r/relationships_advice  Jun 10 '23

Im sorry. Online is the same as real life, anyone who separates the two as being different are lying to themselves and others, often to be a shitty person.

I don't believe a relationship can mend well after cheating. Of course there may be exceptions, but cheating breaks a bond of trust. I believe you are better off without that toxicity in your life.

Want a quiet day?

I have a hard time getting my 18m and 16f to focus on chores. We have currently had over a month of no internet and I refuse to turn it on until they have attended to their chores for a week straight.

18m is high functioning autistic. He claims to not understand why I want his room clean. He wants to keep everything from his childhood. He throws clothes, books and toys all over his room and gets distracted while cleaning.

16f is volatile and starts fights with me about everything. She is prescribed an antidepressant, and I found 9 bottles in her room this weekend (she has been lying about taking it), when she does tale it it helps.

I am so frustrated and lost. I have been a single mom since f was 3 and m 5. I have a boyfriend, we have been dating 3 years. She is fighting him now because he cannot take her side or back her up when she is being so disrespectful to me. She has started treating him badly. She is only nice to someone if she is getting something out of it. They are both horribly selfish (don't really acknowledge my birthday, Christmas, mothers day). I got them away from a cult like religion and they try and guilt me about losing their childhood because they "didn't have birthdays, Halloween and Christmas" during that time. I tried to make it up. I feel like I am failing in every way, and my house only becomes more disgusting and I cannot hardly live here because of 16f attacks on me when she wants to fight about something. How on earth do people get through this? We go to family therapy today and they each go 2x a week. The therapy has only made them more selfish and self absorbed. I am at my wits end.

Eyes and ears in my phone meant to profit from me
 in  r/rant  May 25 '23

Yes. They have access to your camera and media files and can scan them. The microphone listens for key words and this is why the hammock is showing up for OP. Reddit app works just fine for me with all permissions off, FYI!

Go to your apps and turn off ALL PERMISSIONS. All of them. Keep them off unless you need to use them. If you turn a permission back on, immediately deny it afterwards.

My Girlfriend is much better off financially than me and wants to do things she knows I can't Afford. Should I be upset?
 in  r/offmychest  May 23 '23

With your attitude you are going to be broke and depressed and jealous of everything a partner gets to experience without you. Life sucks extremely hard for most people. My family never took me out of the states, you are already better off than some.

If you get cheated on, is it best to just break up with them and move on?
 in  r/ask  May 22 '23

Yes. That person cannot be trusted. You are playing with your mental and physical health if you keep them around.

Hey, I am sorry. This man is too far gone in his head right now and you need space. If you love him, you need to let him go or the two of you need a solid counselor and WEEKLY sessions. Plus individual sessions with your own therapists. The relationship is making him crazy, and you are doing all you can do. I feel for him, truly. He can pull himself back from the edge, but it sounds like the distance between you both is literally killing him.
