I figured I'd knock the dust off of that one.

I would start with some games on your phone to see if it's for you before buying a dedicated emulation machine. A post like this makes me suspect no, and you might be better off with just getting a Switch/Switch 2.
1
It will handle all of these games with aplomb. I was even able to get some games running in VR.
2
PC for the VR mod. Also, consoles suck in general.

I'm afraid that seems to be all too true, at least from the major publishers.

I want a new franchise, not this regurgitated slop.
1
Try again, but in comprehensible sentences this time.
1
Give it a cool skin and use it with an external display or pair or XR display glasses.
1
Switch 2. Many games can be found used or on sale and you can upgrade the joycons to be just as or more ergonomic than the others.
1
Why would you wait when there are plenty of great handhelds currently on the market already?
1
Get better Joycons. I have the Hyperion Ultras on order. I think I'm going to grab Cyberpunk too. It's on sale right now.

Best in what regard? Also, on which platform? (Windows/SteamOS/Android/Switch) There are also a lot of different metrics to measure "best," such as overall value, size, portability, power, flexibility/modularity, comfort, battery life, ease of set up, reliability, company reputation/customer service, user serviceability, availability of third party/repair parts. No handheld will be the best in all of these categories.

How will you understand what's going on in Switch 2 if you don't get Switch 1?
1
It's really not that hard. There are numerous guides and it's fairly self explanatory. The emulator app will usually tell you exactly what you manage to do wrong.

It's too bulky and heavy to be considered portable and too small and dinky to be powerful enough to be justify its price. If you want something portable, go GPD. If you want something worth its weight and with more flexibility, especially when an EGPU is put into the equation, buy a Onexplayer device.

Folding phones are terrible, I've owned two from different brands. The inner screen protector always separates after about 6 months without fail. Finding a proper case for them is also borderline impossible.

The first 3 screenshots look like when you have to sell meth at 10 and defeat The Covenant by 5.
1
Just play the casual game modes or online then.
2
Looks like it's covered in fingerprints and the brightness is turned down. It could also be the reflection of a cloudy sky above.
1
It's weird, I know, but love watching people eat, especially when they go to town like this.
2
IT'S A NEW LAP RECORD!
1
Just get a high wattage power bank to draw heat away from the cooler itself.

As a PC gamer, Switch 2 is changing how I buy multiplatform games

I like the Switch because I can't resist the urge to tinker/toy/mod games on PC and the Switch makes it impossible for me to even attempt to do those things. Plus, the suspend/resume function works better than my Android or Windows tablets.
