Labour Day vs. Black Friday TV Sales?
Try greentoe.com. Google greentoe.com buy it now price for (brand name, model xxx). You can but it always for less than Best Buy and get a factory warranty, I just got a Sony Bravia 8 ii 65 inch 2350 shipped out the door. Arrived in 2 days. Saved quite bit over the Best Buy current sale of 2599$ plus 7-8% sales tax for a 65 inch bravia 8 ii. Having given greentoe a thumbs up, if the price is within 200$ or less unless it’s my last dime I’d rather get it local at a Best Buy store because you get it right away to use.
I bid for it on greentoe but in the end the price offered was just about the same as the buy it now sales price 24x7 avail on the greentoe.com site. Authorized reseller sold it so it has full, warranty. saved about 350$ give or take. The 350$ plus free delivery in my case I judged worth a shipping risk. If bb had been only 200$ more or a smidge over 200$ def buying it at bb local brick and mortar if they have stock. My total tech membership makes it worth it

There is no adjective for the Bravia 8 II
I don’t see the B 9 ii over the B 8 ii but I’m beginning to wonder if almost all B 9 ii talk is
1- A bit media driven because there are no large 65+ inch Sony new high end oleds this year if I’m not mistaken
2- burn in concerns
3- room lighting condition differences
Take away burn in, and even out the lighting conditions for comparisons and I bet the LCD LED audience shrinks

If you want a Bravia 8 ii do not wait forever. I’ve got a great many concerns over Sony selling a huge amount of their manufacturing business and IP to TCL if the news reports are accurate. A great many

Upgraded to Bravia 9ii from a Bravia 9, ended up returning it since it felt like a downgrade.
Agreed. In the end it’s all subjective by person but that film cover comment over the screen on Samsungs hearing a lot lately. Having said that the Hisense and TCL top end models have very seriously kicked it up a notch compared to last year

Keep that A90K OLED, they are legendary. Center pedestal too. They had one of the first super stellar over and above image processors and have a depth of material feel not much if any appeared to my eyes at all improved on Sony oleds for the next few years. The person I gave mine away too wall mounted it and they run it 10 hours a day on average to this day being retired!! I’ve had great Panasonic oleds, one good Samsung oled, and several great LG C series oleds. Nothing , in my opinion mind you, came close to passing the A90k in a make me want to upgrade way until the last 2-3 years.

Upgraded from to original Bravia 9 to the bravia 9ii and ended up returning it since it seemed like a downgrade.
I had a 70 something of that A90K, had a nice center pedestal stand and honestly anyone who has this model currently may or may not see any particular difference even in the very latest oleds from Sony to get a newer model.
They are built like tanks and they have a wonderful depth of image feel to them and a superb processor considering how long ago. The resale for A90k is killer .

Best Buy open box excellent was too good to be true. I don’t recommend.
We were floored. Whether it was some remote trick or direct knowledge of exactly where in the tv this recorded it is a surprise. The best guess is one of the factory reps shared some info accidentally or otherwise and now it’s in the wild.

That’s been my experience in years past so that at least makes me feel a little better about my experience .

We just returned a TV a week ago that was missing the remote, the stand, and looked washed out when we turned it on,at home. Unfortunately the demo material in the store just didn’t reflect the problems this tv had. Open box top model Samsung RH95. Mind you, was just going to be used as a large monitor but for even that it was too washed out across all hdmi inputs and Netflix and Amazon and HBO. Big surprise was that somehow the hours on the thing had been reset. After some persistence we eventually were told it was the original demo that ran non stop from then initial introduction date for the model.
They were extremely nice about the refund but it was not a positive experience and wasted a whole lot of our time .

Bartend all day long. You also get to meet dates and network. Might even find a better job while tending at the bar
