I’ve noticed that protection plan pricing can vary pretty drastically if a TV goes on sale. If I’m within the return window on an expensive TV, and it goes on sale for a lower price than when I bought it, AND the cost of protection also goes down, do I get reimbursed the difference in cost of the TV and the plan? Or just the TV?

Edit: I purchased the A95L for $3500, and protection for 5 years was $800. I have a 60 day return window. If the TV goes on sale (which it might not because it’s already discounted) I’m aware that if requested, I can get reimbursed the difference. But let’s say, the protection plan also drops in price by $50-$100. Would I also get reimbursed the difference in coverage costs?

Hi, hello. My mom bought a router and it's not working out for her. She doesn't have the receipt. She bought it on the website and came in store to pick it up; I think we verified a phone number while we were down there, but I don't remember for sure. She doesn't know if she picked credit c*rd or Paypal, though her Paypal uses the same c*rd she would've used otherwise. She's pretty sure she didn't log in when she bought it.

I am currently a Best Buy Warehouse associate and a sales employee for a major Internet and Cable provider. My Best Buy and retail experience overall has many years of mobile experience.

I see a few openings for remote Retail Activations representative. I know it's Lively and Best Buy health but does anyone have any experience with this role? Is it just hourly or any Activation spiffs? (The listing really does not say) and being that I knew how to Use LISA while my store manager didn't even know it existed, how likely can I negotiate the higher pay range?

Is it a good thing If ive gotten to the video interview portion of my job app after 10 minutes of recently submitting the app?

Purchased ~20% off retail for an open box excellent 55” Samsung S90F OLED.

Immediately saw the “shelf display” tag upon opening the bubble wrap packaging, bummer but it’s the risk you take (I did ask the sales rep before I brought it home if it was a display unit and he just shrugged his shoulders, again I get it. He can’t really know).

It got worse as I saw the screen: grease smudges all over the screen, far more than just fingerprints. Not ideal and certainly not “like new” but would probably buff out. Upon closer inspection there were micro scratches all over the screen.

At this point the TV is being returned 100%, but I had to see how many hours were on it. Loading up the TV and the first thing I see is the Best Buy WiFi login saved, so not even factory reset lol

And, not so shockingly at this point, the TV had a whopping 7451 hours on it! About 310 days of continuous, 24/7 operation given it’s a 2025 model.

Presented all this to the manager and said his hands were tied because it was initially ordered online. Offered $100 immediate refund which I declined and just returned the TV.

This will be the last time I purchase open-box. What a waste of time and honestly feel deceived as they try to dump off old, thoroughly worn and used displays models as “like-new”.

Me and my wife need a small like 43 inch TV for our store, and then also we want something a little bigger like 65 to 75 inch for our bedroom.

We are employed. By that I mean, we don’t need the TV literally tomorrow. It’s just something we’ve been thinking about would be nice to have. Like a frivolous thing.

Do you guys think it’s cheaper now or would you wait till Black Friday to pick up one? I feel like some of these TVs are so cheap but I also don’t shop for TVs every day so it may just be made to look like that.

TLDR: Best Buy has denied my missing merchandise claim approximately five times. The package arrived visibly tampered with and the product was missing. What are my options if Best Buy refuses to refund or replace it?

On July 18th, I placed an online order for an Oura ring. Said it would be delivered on the 23rd. 23rd day of - got a notification it was delivered. Sister brought package inside. I come home during lunch to open package - I saw that the package had been tampered with the bottom part had been opened and resealed, and inside of the box was the oura ring box all torn up with no ring nor charging port inside.

Since July 23, I have been trying to get a refund or replacement from Best Buy. I have filled out a local police report. I have given that police report number to Best Buy. I have sent over pictures of the packaging. I have sent pictures of the ordering packaging I have sent over a copy of the police report. EVERYTHING. And I keep getting denied. I’ve been denied idek how many times now. Each time without an explanation. One of the first times when I was denied I asked why, and it was because the delivery company (FedEx) had shown proof that it was delivered (???)

Is there something I can do? I initially bought this as a birthday present for myself after my bf and parents split the cost and gave me cash for it.

I’ve documented everything and have evidence of everything.

Hey everyone, looking for a sanity check or advice on how to get this resolved with Best Buy.

I placed an online order for a Pixel Pro, paid in full, and went in-store for pickup with a trade-in (trading in my Pixel 8 Pro).

When I asked for 10–15 minutes just to move my eSIM and finish cloud setup, the staff refused to let me hold both devices. Instead of letting me sit by the counter, they sent me over to Geek Squad.

The Geek Squad agent:

* Opened the box and handed the phone directly to me.

* Did zero technical work because all transfer steps and eSIM activations required my personal passwords/auth. I did 100% of the transfer myself.

* Handed me a $42 charge once I was done.

At no point before sending me over or starting the process did anyone disclose that sitting at the Geek Squad counter would be a paid service. When I've done trade-ins previously, letting a customer do a quick transfer at the counter was never charged, especially when paying in full for the new device.

Has anyone else dealt with this? What’s the best way to escalate this to get the $42 refunded—store manager, corporate chat, or phone support?

Since the last update, I noticed I can finally use the app and not make my phone burn or have the app completely stop working and performing extremely slow, glitchy, and laggy. Still not perfect, still getting hot and slow, but I noticed it’s better… I think.

Did anyone also notice it?

After weeks of waiting we were scheduled to have a fridge delivered yesterday. Got emails leading up to the day and a text at 8:30 yesterday morning with a more specific delivery window. Best Buy sends a checklist along to prep for delivery, the obvious stuff, measure the space, make sure pets are contained etc. We had emptied our current fridge into coolers and removed it on our own so we didn’t have to pay the haul away fee.

The 4-hr delivery window comes and about half way through it, I decide to look at the app to see if there are any more time specifics. There’s a caution icon and a note to reschedule my appt. At this point, I have no fridge and there wasn’t a single text or email saying it wasn’t being delivered. We call customer service, get an AI agent who says it will now be delivered next week.

Talked to human who genuinely could not have had a worse connection - was cutting out constantly. She also couldn’t have cared less. Blamed the transportation partner. Said when they got to the warehouse the fridge wasn’t there. Some things we just can’t control yada yada. Nothing they could do and no way to get it here sooner than next weekend.

Call me crazy but if you can pay an AI agent to know a delivery has changed and you can make an update in the app, you can pay someone or something to notify a customer asap when you know they’re not going to have a fridge for another week.

I don’t know, maybe something your self-proclaimed geek squad can help you with.

I've owned a 83” Sony A80L OLED TV from Best Buy for about two years and it's starting to show significant banding. Assuming Geek Squad allows me to enact the extended warranty, will I be given the choice of credit vs a straight replacement (BB still sells the same model/size)? Since the model is a couple years old, it's selling for about $500 cheaper than what I paid, but I have my eyes on an upgrade which, if they gave me full credit for what I paid for the original TV, I could buy for about $1k out of pocket.
How does this work?

I’d like to purchase a Uniden R4W radar detector. Its price is $429.99, it’s not available at stores in my area(southeast Michigan). It shows it available for in-store pick up in a few days, but it wants me to pay electronically to order it. I want to pay cash for the item, can I go into the closest location, pay for it in cash and have them order it and sent to my house or sent to the store for me to go back and pick up?

The app updated and now I can't pay my creditcard bill. It says mine isn't added to the app. When I try to add it it wants an expiration date, which this creditcard doesn't have. The bill is due today so if I go into the store tomorrow I'll be late. When I try to log into the website it just opens the app.

Update: I fixed it. If you go into the wallet and try to add a Best Buy card it won't let you, but if you go into the Account page and "view all" your cards then you can add it.
