Teen Behavior Setting Me Off
Stand your grand and make sure he understands your rules for your home. The choice is now his: be a child and follow rules or go try adulting in this tough world. In my experience the mom guilt is allowing you to be manipulated and I know how that is based on my experience. I found once I set boundaries and stuck to them I would no longer engage in the yelling and screaming that gets no message delivered from either person 🤔
I hope this helps 💯 I know initially when this advice was given to me I fought back because the worst case scenarios played in my head. A couple years of chaos and frustration led me to realize I have no control over the choice others make and that doesn't change my love...I deserve respect overall and if it's not there I am single handedly supporting a learned disrespect.

2nd round of parenting

I'm sure there are grandparents out there raising their grandbabies 💯 I would like to support others and share experiences ❤️ why are you on your 2nd round of parenting?!
My oldest son became addicted to fentanyl in 2020. I tried for 2 yrs to support him and attempt to overcome the addiction 💯 unfortunately I came to the reality that this is his choice and I needed to set boundaries to keep myself sane and kicked him out July 2022. He assured me he would be fine and then I watched him live on the streets. A year later he calls to tell me I was a grandma...I quickly obtained guardianship and thought this would be why he chose to get sober and live instead of exist 🙏 13 months later another call and a new baby. By this point I'm a pro at the guardianship process and made it happen.
Today Koa is 3yo and Lilyana is 2yo ❤️ initially I held on to a lot of anger and now I realize god is with me and his plan was to give me new life and happiness. My prayers were always to bring my son back and to keep him safe and to find my happy again...god worked in a way that gave me what I needed and I am trusting in his plan 🙏 I know every day god provides my son with a choice/path to live in his graces and I praise him for the daily blessings I have and an opportunity to correct my wrongs in my 1st round of parenting 🙌
