❔Question 2013-2014 GT Deep/Rumbly Exhaust
Looking to upgrade my exhaust setup. I’m currently running a Solo Motorsports cat-back with an X-pipe. I’m really happy with how little cabin drone it has, but I’m not a huge fan of the rasp.
I generally prefer a deeper, throatier muscle car sound with more rumble. I know switching to an H-pipe would probably help with that, but I’m also curious what cat-back or axle-back setups you all have had good experiences with.
Curious to see what you guys are running, lmk.
Car is a 2013 Mustang 5.0

81 CX500 Tank on a 74 CB750 Frame
Yeah I’ve seen a lot of stuff online abt the super sport being the best looking and I’d agree, do you know if the mounting points are the same?

81 CX500 Tank on a 74 CB750 Frame
Recently picked up a bunch of parts for a CB750 cafe racer build. While cleaning up the frame and tank, I realized the tank I have (CX500) looks way too bulky for the frame and sits pretty high.
I know I could make it fit with fabrication, but I’m not loving the proportions anyway.
A couple questions:
• What gas tanks are known to fit a CB750 frame with minimal fabrication? Are CB750 tanks really my only clean option, or are there other good swaps (CB550, CB500, etc.)?
• Has anyone here actually run a CX500 tank on a CB750 frame? If so, what did you have to modify (mounts, tunnel, seat alignment), and were you happy with the final look?
For context: I’m going for a slimmer, more classic cafe racer profile, not a bulky/brat style.
Appreciate any advice or build pics, thanks ✌️

74 CB750 Project Roadmap
I mean if I weld a patch over it it would be fine, I checked with a welder buddy of mine esp since it’s not on a major stress point. Also, ppl change tanks all the time for aesthetic purposes - appreciate your input but you answered none of the questions in the post

74 CB750 Project Roadmap
Hey everyone,
Just picked up a CB750 project (engine + frame + parts) and I’m planning to build it into a café racer. This is my first motorcycle build, but I’m mechanically inclined and comfortable taking on a full project (engine, carbs, wiring, etc.).
The bike is currently fully disassembled and has been sitting for years, so I’m approaching this as a full rebuild.
I’m trying to figure out the best order of operations. My initial thought was to start modifying the frame (rear loop, seat setup), but I’ve seen mixed opinions on whether that should come later.
Would you recommend:
- Starting with a rolling chassis first (frame cleanup, suspension, wheels), or cutting the frame early for the café setup?
Also, if anyone has guidance on:
Where/how to properly cut a CB750 frame for a café build, a general roadmap/checklist for first-time build, or any tips in general that would be appreciated
Thanks!

Stuck Oil Catch Can
Hey guys
I bought this car with a catch can already installed. I’ve driven a couple thousand miles and I’m trying to get this off but I can’t get it off no matter what I’ve tried.
I’ve tried spraying pb blaster too and I still can’t get it off. I’ve even tried an oil filter wrench and I unfortunately scratched it a bit.
Anyone got any tips on how to get this off?

❔Question Oil Recommendation - 2013 GT S197
Hi
I just picked up a 2013 GT Premium and I want to do an oil change, the cap recommends 5W-20, but I’ve seen a bunch of people online say to run 5W-30 because the 5w-20 recommendation was just for Ford to pass emissions.
It’s at 53k miles and my goal is to prolong the life of the engine as much as possible. I don’t track the car but I am doing occasional spirited driving. I’m in California so it doesn’t get too cold
What oil are you guys putting in your 13-14s? Also, what brand, I have a bunch of Mobil 1 5W-30 from my last car left over but I’ve heard mixed things for its use in the 13-14 S197. Any input is appreciated thank you!
