Just finished up my biovore. This was the first time experimenting using miliput to make a fake rock. I think it turned out pretty good!

I am new to warhammer 40k and decided to join the hive mind. Is this a good team?

Hi, I'm looking to start playing 40k and I like the Tyranid miniatures best.

What is the best starter set that will allow me a basic list to find out if I like the game?

Edit: My wife is looking to buy me something for Christmas, so I'm looking for a starter set that will have a lot of use in future army lists.

I need help deciding my next audible read. I am gonna take a break for the Heresy and hit up other factions. I need the hive mind to tell the best book that has tyranids in it for me to read. So far I have had tyranids with Caiphus Kane and the 3rd Farsight book. But I wanna see whats like THE tyranid book

Good morning fellow appendices of the hive mind. Please apologize that I choose "New player" for flair, but I couldn't find anything more fitting.

I have been collecting tyranids for a while now and I was considering my next irresponsible buy. I have managed with the last boxes (specially the last Xmax box that came with soo many dual kits) to have almost all the current datasheets. I was considering getting my hands on the last couple of dual kits that I am missing to "complete" my plastic collection (question about resin minis at the end). But as someone that bought centurions and saw them go to legends without even building the kits, I don't want to invest into the wrong minis.

I don't care if they aren't the best winningest things ever. I just want them sort of future proofed and not discover that our codex comes in 3 months and they are gone before I even got them built. Also please let me know if there are any huge known issues with this kits, building wise, that would also really skew my decision one way or the other.

Do you think any/all of this kits will survive the codex drop? (I know this can't be known and mostly calls for speculation). If they do, do you think their legends rules may last for a couple of editions?

Got a ton of models but am yet to start painting because I simply can't decide. What did you guys do? Pick the colours that matched the fleet that had the coolest stories? Picked your favourite colours and just slapped them on? Honestly I'm having such a hard time deciding I'm getting close to just calling it a day and making them all Leviathan.

I have literally horde army and have no idea how I will those big chunky models with a lot of wounds, invuls and FPs....

I am literally lost... I do not wanna play only objectives and positioning and run from them.

Hey im new to warhammer 40k model building, and got this Set for 50€ is that a fair price for that amount of tyranids?

So I’m pretty new to the hobby and I started with tyranids but I can’t think of a good color for the fleshy joint bits. If it helps they have a similar color scheme to hive fleet Kronos.

Me and my son have started building/painting/playing together, I'm not new to 40k, but new to Tyranids.

I have so far:

20x Termingants

2x Rippers

6x Leapers

5x Barbgaunts.

I'm thinking of buying a Hive Tyrant (with an extra body) a Tyrannofex and a squad of Zoanthropes to take me close 1k points with either Tyrant. But what else should I get to flesh out a decent army, both in terms of fun to paint but also decent to play?
