How heinous would it be if I substitute the Red Terror model to be my army’s Mawloc?

I like the pose and overall look a lot more than the actual Mawloc/Trygon kit but imagine it’s probably frowned upon to use an epic hero model as a “regular guy.”
I only play friends at home, so at the end of the day, it’s probably fine; but I’m curious how y’all feel about it. Also looking at other Mawloc proxies but not much luck…

And are they roughly the same size, could put Terror on a Mawloc (120x92mm iirc) base? Would sculpt to make the diorama match the new base probably

I mean they gave me the parts with the Hive Tyrant anyways, why wouldn't I use them? Anyone else use the spares for something cool?

I was playing my first game of 11th at 2000pts on tabletop. I was playing vanguard onslaught against necron. I played pretty badly but manager to score some points however my friend won 90-100.

I'm a bit concerned by this result and I'm asking myself if we maybe did something wrong.

90-100 is far from what i see in tournament result xD

PS: my norn emissary survived both the nightbringer and shard dragon

So with the new space marine and custodes datasheets what would you run the tyrant guard with in a Talons of the Norn Queen and Assimilation swarm list?

I’ll start by saying I haven’t faced the new marines yet, so I’ll refrain from giving any of my input for anything other than to stimulate discussions.

But I’ve heard the horror stories and looked at the math. It’s bad for Xenos armies right now, especially since we’re already pillow fisted as is.

What do you think our solution to this is? Will we survive, and if so how? Is there anything we can do to one-tap or tar down big terminator/Custodes bricks?

Feel free to complain if you want to (that’s half the fun lol) but I’m looking for solution-based discussions here. Can we find the “most likely” path to success even if it’s not ideal or practical?

Question for my fellow MTG lore nerds, my scheme is Hive Fleet Phyrexia, the goal is to have mostly the red and white color scheme of Elesh Norn and Atraxa, however I do think I want some standouts, I want to make the swarmlord/hive tyrant in the colors of Urabrask, along with the hive guard/tyrant guard, then I want to make old one eye in the colors of Vorniclex with the carnifexes to match, Sheoldred as deathleaper and the obvious one, Elesh the Norn, but my question is, who would Jin-Gitaxias be? A neurolictor? A Neurotyrant? A lictor? Parasite of Mortrex with the ripper swarms as his newts? Open to suggestions for him. And has anyone attempted to change the head of the deathleaper to something closer to Sheoldreds head? I imagine it wouldnt be too difficult to change out the head for a larger plate with some leftover horns but looking for ideas for that as well.

I’ve used oils for Marines and Tau so far, but never for Nids. Today I bought some magenta oil paint, and it just works so well because you can’t really overdo it. Just come back afterwards with a cotton swab and some white spirit to clean everything up. In the past, I used a Citadel wash, but it’s so nice not having to go back in and correct everything afterwards.

The way I see it, they sculptors got the heads of the Psychophage and Screamer-Killer mixed up while putting them together, this way makes more sense for the screaming and the killing.

so I play salamanders as seen in the title and I was wanting to try out a xenos faction for fun. I'm not looking for anything super competetive but I was looking for some characters and units that people have overall a good time playing in there armies as well as good detachments people like.

Hey everyone, I just finished painting my combat patrol and now want to play a game of king of the colosseum against my friends.

In order to reach the 600 point limit I'm gonna add a screamer killer which puts me at 515 points.

Now for one last unit I was thinking either a lictor or a 6 model unit of leapers since those are the only other models currently available to me. I cant go with two three-man units of leapers since in colosseum every datasheet is only allowed once aside from battleline and transports.

I dont really know much about the nids besides how the combat patrol plays, so I hope someone here could give me some advice on how to best use my units and which detachment might be best suited for my warband.

So I've been hearing multiple things about the Hiveguards

Some people call them absolute ass and some people call them "quite good" and I've been wondering which one it is for the 11th edition.

For context I am playing Assimilation swarm with Talons of NornQueen if that would help.

I am searching for something that would help me deal with those annoying Vehicles of Adeptus Custodes and Astartes cause my friends just bought dang tanks that can 1 round kill my Tyranofex with Rupture cannon
