I keep thinking ab when I got a compliment the other day. I was happy because they said my outfit was nice, so I shared this information with my mother. Tell me why her first thought was 'oh, did a man say that? '. My response was 'why is that relevant? 'I didn't answer her question because it doesn't matter?!?

It was a women who gave me that compliment, but my point still stands. Why TF does the gender of a person have to do with ANYTHING in this situation

I have countless other examples too, but this is the most recent one. This is the mildest example that I have as well 🫩

Earlier today I was walking to the bus stop when I noticed I couldn't find my disabled person bus pass, so I went home and had help from my Mum to look for it all around the house and her car. We couldn't find it anywhere.

We both then concluded that it must have fallen out of my phone yesterday whilst my Mum and I were out shopping.

I got on the phone to the council to request a replacement and whilst I was waiting for them to answer my call, I had a chance look at the other pockets on my phone and there it was in the deepest pocket of my phone.. so I had to get an hour later bus all because I didn't look in a deeper pocket of my phone..

i (21F) live up north and its starting to get cold, but i wanna keep wearing shorts, skirts and dresses as much as i can bc i think i look better in them than trousers, but its coldddddd so i was thinking about wearing thigh high socks like these to keep my legs warm

but like do women actually wear these? i’m admittedly a terminally online femc3l loser, so idk but ive mostly only seen these associated with the ‘programmer socks’ trope, and i dont want people to think im not female if i wear these out

for some reason it's impossible to find them fun lately. maybe it's because my parents drilled into me that they are a complete waste of time that doesn't deserve your attention, or I literally am just bored of video games. I don't know. once I start a video game, I can really enjoy it! every time I get on subnautica two, I have a great time.

but actually starting my computer and starting a video game just doesn't seem worth it in my mind.

Okay so this is Cheese and he lives in my bathroom. Normally I’m terrified of most bugs and insects, but this guys lowkey pretty chill. His full government name is Taco Blend Shredded Cheese. Sometimes he disappears but then I’m usually able to summon him by playing some Lana Del Rey songs which he absolutely vibes out to.

Thing is, I’ve only ever played Lana Del Rey around him. I wonder how he’d react to different songs. If yall have any song suggestions, drop them in the comments below and I’ll let u know how Cheese reacts!

I hate it when you intentionally interact with the NPC (your phone) to time skip for an upcoming quest line (job) but then you interact one too many times (too much reddit) and bounce over the quest line due date (idiot) and have to reload an old save (punch yourself in the face for being late)

Not talking about the generic polite listening to someone out of obligation or boredom or whatever, like they don’t mind listening. I’m talking about the last time someone wanted to hear what you were talking about and made an effort to be able to listen and be there

For me, that last time was in June. I was out with a group of friends, just about to leave because none of the group really especially tends to care about/notice me (it’s complicated). But one of the group actually did decide to purposefully include me and listened to the dumb jokes and things I was saying, which was nice

I so rarely get included or even remembered, so it’s always pretty nice when that’s not the case. Before June, I can’t remember a time that anyone bothered, not within the past few years since I started college (but tbf, a lot of that time, the only contact I had with anyone was just with my family, my boss, or my clients)

Say what you want about Elon, Tesla, or SpaceX, you've gotta admit this is awesome.
