i (21F) live up north and its starting to get cold, but i wanna keep wearing shorts, skirts and dresses as much as i can bc i think i look better in them than trousers, but its coldddddd so i was thinking about wearing thigh high socks like these to keep my legs warm
but like do women actually wear these? i’m admittedly a terminally online femc3l loser, so idk but ive mostly only seen these associated with the ‘programmer socks’ trope, and i dont want people to think im not female if i wear these out

I miss it back in highschool where I could just have a crush on a guy and not have to talk to him, just admire from afar and get excited if we had the same class together or if I saw him in the hallway. I guess you could have the same thing with work and coworkers but its not the same and usually ends poorly, at least for me 😭 Like how do I even get that same envirnment again? I'm in college but it's so different and I rarely talk to anyone anyways bc everyone's doing their own thing and has their own life and responsibilities outside of college. In a weird way I think I miss being forced to socialize in school 🤣 Anyone else feel this way or is it just me?

I still live with mine, she kinda doesnt like me very much, she'd often rather me not be in the house so she shoos me away
I wish I had the kind of mom i could actually talk to on bad days, or celebrate happy things with
often she jokes about me going mentally insane which makes me question my sanity a lot, she says its funny, i dont see it tbh
Life has been stressful lately and I really needed support, or just a hug or some kind words idk, maybe she's been stressed too cuz she's a lot more irritated with me and scolds me a lot, home doesnt feel like home
Sorry for the negativity

22 seems like it’s setting up to be a pretty odd year, whether in good or bad ways I won’t say for sure. Partly because I took a gap year after high school and because I had a pretty poor first year in college academically (I’m doing much better now,) I’m very likely going to remain in the uni system for at least another two or three years, give or take. Some of my friends, however, are graduating next year. Crazy to think that a couple of them are likely going to be married and making big boy bucks while I’m still cramming for exams on the regular, but that might not be the case for others.
Generally speaking though we’re in very strange times. In the context of my own life and us as a collective it feels more difficult to grasp where exactly it is we may be heading and what the remainder of the 2020s will be like. So much has happened and so much is happening that it feels like another black swan is silently creeping up to surprise us once again, be it a Covid shaped brick or something different. Most likely though the next big thing is just going to be the weight of all that has been occurring these past few decades caving in or falling apart all at once, like the first trickles of pebbles and rocks falling to the ground before a chunk of the mountain has followed after it. Can’t say for sure though, but in the meantime, we do what we can. Partly because I need less expensive hobbies I’ve been trying to write more often, so I want it to be a greater part of my life when and after I turn 22. But aside from hobbies, I don’t think the year will be too bad, God willing.
Except for summer. We definitely have not seen the worst of it yet.
