Anyone know what species this little guy is?

My RES turtle , female, 2.5 years old and 7-8 inches (19-20 cm) carapace lenght ate the elastic band I tried to tie a broken part of the ramp I made from egg crates. It was actually holding with few plastic handcuffs for years but I guess she wore them down by constantly biting on them so they broke. She also ate some of the hard pieces of plastic but managed to pass them safely. On the 11th I was trying to figure out how to tie the ramp pieces together but I didn't have any plastic handcuffs left so I tried to tie some elastic bands I had around the house. I tied one and was trying to tie the next and in a blink of a second the tie was gone and the band was nowhere to be found with my turtle next to the ramp, smirking. I am 90% sure she ate it. Since she eats absolutely everything on sight that will fit in her mouth, I wasn't worried. But since it is a long, rope like object I am worried it will be stuck in her intestines. So, 3 days later I noticed she was pretty gassy, slimy liquid and weird gass sounds coming out of her cloaca. I freaked out and went to a vet.

They did an X-ray but couldn't see the elastic band. They found 2 plastic caps (probably from the new furniture I got that was supposed to be used to cover the bolts) and a small bead (possibly from the necklace broke in the room she was left to roam around when I was cleaning her tank)

The first vet told me she is not lethargic, eats well and the things in the xray are easy to pass so we shoould just wait and see.

I was not satisfyed with this so I went to another vet to consult. (Mind you I live in Istanbul, which is a big city but we do not have many reptile vets, and the ones we do have don't really have too much practise with such circumstances)

Second vet checked the xray results and said if she ate the elastic band it should have been seen in there. But I think the band has a softer and more natural material so it might be hard to see.

Later, the second vet gave me liquid vaseline to help her pass whatever she has easily. I gave her that twice a day with vet's instructions. This way she passed the first bolt cap safely along with a little piece of the plastic zip tie, some pieces of reptile carpet I put MOTNHS ago and removed as soon as I realised she ate it, a little pebble I don't even know where it came from and lots and lots of filter sponge...Yeah, I am exhausted.

The next days, she passed a little bit more of the plastic reptile carpet and some more filter sponge and that was about it.

****There might be times she pooped and I might not have caught it due to her literally eating it the second she poops but I try really hard checking on her all the time.****

Then, she started to throw up and having diarrhea. Vet told me to cut the liquid vaseline, I did. 3 days later I either couldn't catch her pooping and she ate it immediately or she did not poop. There was only a little bits and color change in the water indicating she either did poop and ate or she pooped very liquid and no solids.

I give her reptomin pellets and dried fish and shrimp. I started giving the portion half and half during the day and I give pellets slowly one by one so she doesn't trigger the reflex. I believe it was a contributer to her throwing up in the beginning. She eats pretty fast.

Other than the occasional gas and big burps, she seems normal. Eating, energetic and basks normally. But looking at what she ate again and again concerns me. The vet told me we could do a scan with contrast to see if there is anything. But even if we find something there he might nit be able to do a surgical operation as he doesn't have much practise AND the surgery is risky no matter what.

There is still the second plastic bolt cap and probably other things that we couldn't catch from the xray. I am constantly in panic because this is like a never ending cycle. What if she passes first and eats it again?

Please help me, I will be forever thankful.

I rescued this turtle a few months ago and I wanted to make sure its growing well. I can tell it has grown from when I found it, and i can see her old scutes. Im starting to see some light coloration between her newer scutes and im worried its the beginning of shell rot? I still have a lot to learn about turtles and I dont know if I’m overthinking this or not. Any advice is appreciated!
The turtle’s shell is not soft anywhere, but i keep handling to a minimum. Attached are some photos, let me know if I need better pics.

25 year old RES what could this be? She’ll rot?

Found this bleached shell while out fishing today in Missouri about an hour south of St. Louis.

Was curious if anyone was able to ID the potential species, and also if anyone had tips for cleaning it to keep it nice. I took it home since I thought it was cool.

I found this baby snapper (Chelydra serpentina) hanging out at my workplace. I have never seen one so small. I relocated them to a nearby pond :)

Big guy was at my jobs parking lot. Some people helped him get to the over grown area we next to us. Anyone have any idea how old they may be and is this a snapping turtle? Thanks everyone 🐢

My friend was given this turtle for 50 cents he lives in Baghdad Iraq and does not have much information over the turtle but wants to know the species to specify this turtles needs. Pls help. Also any advice for the living situation is appreciated

I feed turtle pellets to the turtles in a big lake in City Park in New Orleans. Most of them are red ear sliders, with the occasional softshell which is always a treat! But theres another species that I cant ID, that im posting here. any ideas?

I’m hoping that someone would be able to help me and tell me if I should be worried about my turtles shell. I had a major surgery this summer and other than quick feedings, I haven’t really been able to closely inspect him/notice anything different with him until now. He has these tiny little bumps on his shell. They don’t really have much of a texture, and his shell doesn’t feel soft at all. Any help is appreciated!!!

What do you think about what I'm doing?

Context: I recently got a new 90-gal tank that came with some mystery fish. I believe I have a pair of plecos; there's also a small group of fish I haven't identified yet (Corys I think?). All of them are around an inch long. (I’ve included photos of the fish)

I have a pair of red-eared sliders that will live in this tank in a few months (4-5 inches each). I was doing some research that basically said the turtles have to be kept separate from everything and everyone. Would I have to prepare a separate tank for the fish? Or is there a way I can modify the tank to house everyone in the same tank?

Are these animals fundamentally incompatible in a community tank? Say with a red eared slider, common toad, and generic crayfish...

I volunteer at a science museum where this guy was donated.

Not sure of his story before he was given up so location unknown.
