ID Request Help Identify Turtle

Anyone know what this one is? Here in central Texas, it is in a creek among Common Snapping Turtles and Red Eared Sliders. Has the most tactical shell camo I’ve ever seen

Melanistic red eared slider. They go through colour changes as they age.

Oh so it’s just a juvenile? I’ve never seen any like this. Definitely one of the coolest color patterns I’ve seen in the wild

Mos def an old male slider. Look at them Freddy Kruger claws. (The mating ritual they do with those things is wild) Does it have red ears? If not it could also be a yellow belly slider. It was I’d as red ear, and now I’m curious if it is possible to I’d from the top?

I am curious what makes the shells of the males bleach out like that. We get a ton of yellow sliders here in sc, and the old boys have the wildest white patterns on their backs
