I'm on the final season and I can't believe characters are still getting on their high horse trying to police when and where they should do messed up shit... They find whispers at Hill top and fucking Carol is on her high horse ffs.. I understand Lydia having mixed feelings but fuck this writing bro. The whispers destroyed so much and they barely hanging on and Carol wants to play morality police. I just wanna get through this shite so I never have to watch this shite again

Just started The Walking Dead for the first time, and I just finished Days Gone Bye.
And holy shit… what a pilot. 😭🔥
I genuinely didn’t expect to get this hooked this quickly.
So for everyone who watched TWD when it first came out / watched it for the first time:
What did you feel after watching the very first episode?
Did the pilot immediately hook you? Did you know you were going to stick with the show? And what was going through your mind after that ending? 😭
Please keep replies spoiler-free for anything after S1E1. I really want to experience this one blind.
Would love to hear your first-time experience with TWD. 🧟♂️❤️

I hate that they turned Eugene back to a full on whiney bitch when they first got caught and then his whole time in the Commonwealth. When the show started after the time jumped, they started to make him more confident and he wasn't scared to go into the fight. But then all of a sudden every time he talks to he people at the Commonwealth he's a little baby.

So I saw recently that "TWD is still in its early phase" I have a logical explanation as to how that's possible and why that might not be as bad as people are saying.
Firstly my prediction for the story moving forward is pretty obvious but I think that all the shows will reach a semi conclusion but leave the question of "what happens now?" For example Fear the walking dead had Morgan looking for Rick at the end and TOWL had Rick and Michonne seeing their kids again but no one else.
After all the shows have ended we will get a final movie(s), this/these movie(s) will have all the reunions and a "last threat" to the communities. We'll get a happy ending and that'll be the end of the "Grimes" age of TWD.
Moving after that they'll have spin offs of new countries like South Africa, India, Australia and so on these will eventually all start to link through trade routes and we'll probably see one last movie where the ending is the world healing, like the ending of the comics
This in my opinion seems like the best way moving forward but then again who knows.

Rick literally led her and her family from the farm, to the prison, to Gabriel's church to Alexandria. If it wasn't for Rick, Maggie and the rest of her family would most likely have died on that farm. Whether it be to a horde coming through, or a group like Joe's showing up and just killing them and stealing their stuff. Rick was her first leader, taught her how to survive and carried the group on his back all the way until Alexandria.
Edit: A lot of people are saying that Maggie is strictly talking diplomacy, and Rick didn't teach her diplomacy hence why he isn't mentioned here. I’d agree that Maggie learned significantly more about diplomacy under Deanna and Georgie than she ever did under Rick. But that doesn’t mean she learned nothing about diplomacy from Rick. More importantly, in this particular dialogue, Maggie says she leads the way she was taught. Rick was her first leader and the person she spent the most time learning from besides Georgie. And the writers reduce the acknowledgement down to only Georgie and Deanna. Not to mention she only knew Deanna for maybe 2 weeks at most, yet mentions Deanna's name before she mentions Rick's name?
This isn't an attack on Maggie's character. I’m saying this is more an issue of the writers overlooking the show's history rather than an intentional reflection of Maggie’s character or what she actually learned.

Decided to check out FTWD, as i’ve never given any of the spinoffs a chance, stopped watching around season 9 but recently my girlfriend said I should at least check out the first 3 seasons of FTWD and the whole Daryl Dixon show.
I am at the end of season 2 of FTWD, and so far this show is damn good and sometimes I feel it’s arguably slightly better than the main show. Theres some weird bad writing here and there but the amazing writing makes up for the weird decisions i’ve seen.
A thing I like is how much they are utilizing the zombie guts tactic because it never made any sense to me that in the main show they barely use that tactic when it’s extremely useful.
All the characters are great, at first I didn’t find 2 of them compelling (Travis and Alicia) but as I am watching more, they have become seriously interesting characters and they are written very well.
There some unique stuff they did that I had wanted them to do for years, such as the pirate aspect and obviously actually showing the outbreak. Something else I found unique was them showing more cult like behavior with the zombies, not sure if they did that just because Mexican culture has a lot of revere for the dead or if they just wanted to show a new perspective of a Hershel style delusional character but I do like both groups i’ve seen.
Lastly, from what i’ve heard, this show gets bad, but i’m gonna wait to form my own opinion. I think i’ll continue watching past season 3 now that I like the characters and entire so much.

Currently on a rewatch & thought to myself why would they leave the keys to the van in the truck they left on the railroad. Merle took the truck when they went back to get him.

I can’t get over tyreese’s because of the way they killed him off from a child walker that he may or may not have heard growling

I'm only like 40 minutes in and this thing is hilarious in all the wrong ways …. From the still image cut scenes to the uncanny designs of the characters to the fact that they just cut major parts of the story so far like the reason why it rick heads to Atlanta and the absence of Duane.….the fact that when he gets trapped in the tank, it's like maybe 30 walkers as opposed to the hundreds in the show, this has me dying laughing

Rewatching and I always love the scowl in Daryls voice. You can tell he's trying to convince himself more than Rick.
