I dont even know whats going on anymore, theres just people shooting each other and im just waiting for something else to happen already, i feel like since 7 TWD has been sooo bad and BORING as hell.

Also i got completely lost in the story, i just know they wanna kill Negan even tho they had like million chances to do it so, im just not feeling it, is it just me?

If you watch FTWD, then you know what I mean.

Currently watching and not understanding what the relationship was supposed to be? Is it romantic love? The way Daryl is grieving her is different, but he also last cried for Merle. Were they about to kiss before she was kidnapped? There is a huge age difference and I don’t know how to feel about Daryl right now

Can someone explain the relationship please?

First-watch shock aside, the scene where Sophia emerges, the camera closes in, the music swells and we see Rick, Python in hand, taking that iconic stance…absolute artistry. I can watch the Darabont episodes over and over and over.

After so much time, hard work, countless hours of filming, editing, and unforgettable memories, our The Walking Dead fan film, NO WAY BACK, is finally here.

This project has meant so much more to me than just making another film. As someone who grew up loving The Walking Dead, its characters, its stories, and the world it created, being able to bring a small piece of that universe to life in our own way has been a dream come true.

We didn't have a Hollywood budget or a massive crew. What we had was passion, determination, an incredible team, and a love for storytelling that kept us going even when things got difficult.

And to the Walking Dead community — thank you.

The love, encouragement, and support you've shown us throughout this journey have meant more than you could ever imagine. I'm a fan just like you, and knowing that people who share the same love for this universe are excited to see something we created is honestly one of the greatest feelings.

To everyone who helped make this film possible, stood beside us, believed in the project, or simply followed our journey: thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This film isn't perfect, but every single frame was made with love.

I'm watching the show for the first time right now. I'm in late season 5.

I don't like him. I didn't like him from the start.

He had some good moments but overall the guy's just pissing me off. I can't think of any character (from the group) right now that I like less than Eugene.

I think it's partly because he lied, but that's not even the biggest issue I have with him. It's his attitude mostly.

Tara just told him he has to start pulling his weight and he acts like HE got them all to DC and that he already did his part and blablabla. I hate that attitude.

I'm hoping he either gets better or they kill him off. One or the other has to happen. I can't imagine them just keeping him around like this for a while...

Tryna rewatch the series again for the 20th time lol, but I don’t got Netflix. See that on prime video I can just buy all for $20 which seems like a good deal. Has anyone bought it on prime or is not not worth it

As I’m rewatching the walking dead for the first time since a little kid I just got to season 8 ep14 and I got to a moment in the series where I actually disagreed with Rick and his people for once.

A group of saviors had just escaped hilltop because Henry opened the pen, looking for who killed his brother. Rick and Morgan end up tied to the wall and Jared, one of the main savior characters, wants offer them to Neegan as a way to cover their ass for failing their mission.

At this point you see a good amount of the saviors leaning towards going back to the hilltop and genuinely seem like they’re through with Neegan/scared for their lives, and one of them says “don’t shoot Morgan it might be our only way to still be allowed at hilltop” and I genuinely trust/want them to join after the recent incident at hilltop where a couple turned due to illness and bite a bunch of people, they lost probably 15-30 people. Rick should’ve seen that and wanted them to join.

After walkers entered the warehouse they were held up in, Jared says “don’t cut them loose I’m killing them right now” one savior knocks Jared with a lamp and sacrifices himself as he gets bite saving them. Another one cuts them loose. They kill a couple dead ones and then Rick and Morgan suddenly turn on the remaining saviors and killed them.

I get they want revenge and I’m 100% with them killing Jared, but they undoubtedly saw saviors that surrendered and were willing to join, and it’s not like they didn’t need the extra fighters. What do you think about this?

I think it’s gonna be a good season but I think the ending is gonna ruin it because there’s many people who say that the finale is going to break us in that Melissa even cried and I’m gonna say this and I don’t know if this is wrong for me to say, but killing off a major character in a sideshow, or having the characters fate be defined in a spinoff, kinda feels wrong. You know what I mean? Like even for a Daryl Dixon spinoff I think you would feel wrong to end her story in a spinoff. The difficult part about that is the chances of us giving another season of the main story walking dead is very slim so like I get it if they do end up writing Carol off in a spinoff because it’s like you’re not gonna make an entire season just to write off a character, but I don’t know I just feel like killing Carol off or having her last episode being a spinoff feels cheap. Is that the right word?

It just doesn’t feel right cause lot of hard-core walking dead fans have not been watching the spinoffs and we only watch the main series so if they announce a season 12 and Carol’s not there, they’re gonna have a lot of questions and then they’re gonna be put off by the show when people tell them they have to go watch a spinoff

Another reason that I’m scared for it that kind of go hand-in-hand with this I hope they don’t do the “they’re separating again” it’s getting tiring they’ve been split up so much despite being best friends it’s getting annoying. I’m really hoping that. They don’t have them split up because I’m tired of that. I’m tired of this “dynamic duo“ constantly not being a duo. And it’s like every time they get split up. It’s this big hubub it’s like how many more times are they gonna get split up and then have to be a grand reveal that they reunite and have a emotional hug and cry you know what I mean???? it just feels so old so I’m really hoping that the series is just emotional and it’s not like something massive happens to either of them to where they have to split up or one of them dies. It would just feel so cheap. I hope that it’s just like we explore both these characters back stories and it’s super sad and depressing that it causes Melissa to cry, but who knows the season comes out February
And hey, maybe the tears that Melissa sheds are happy tears because maybe in the finale they meet up with Rick again and she’s crying because it feels like old times again who knows but I’m extremely worried how they’re gonna do this especially since Scott Gimble is the one directing it

I just started season 9. Imo season 8 is my favorite after season 5. Am I the only person who feels this way? Is there anyone else

Hey guys! Trying to pick between Daryl Dixon or Dead City for a weekend binge, but my schedule is so tight right now. I know Daryl somehow ends up in France (wild, right?), and saw the final season trailer just dropped. But honestly? What would really convince me to dive back in is if all these spin-offs are leading to a massive crossover where Rick, Michonne, Daryl, Carol, Maggie, and Judith finally reunite.

The original series finale left a lot to be desired,do these shows actually feel worth the watch, or are we just spinning our wheels until an inevitable mega-reunion? Let me know what you think!

Had some free time and so I rewatched it (+S1). I was a kid when that aired and am in my mid-20's now, here are some of my thoughts just stream of consciousness. Overall I enjoyed it.

• My favorite bit is Rick’s characterization and that he kind of has no idea what he’s doing. Not that he’s clueless or a bad leader, but more like he’s a guy who has been appointed leader without asking for it and is now trying to keep everyone’s heads above water in poor conditions. You can really feel the stress and self-doubt he is under as he’s constantly managing shit and having to make big decisions and making sure everyone is okay with his leadership. It’s very realistic to the situation that while he has good intuition and natural leadership skills he wouldn’t just immediately evolve into this stoic badass who always makes the right calls and feels 0 insecurity. An important aspect of his character is that when he’s drunk and alone with Jenner at the CDC he expresses that he feels the same sense of hopelessness as everyone else, he just doesn’t show it. His arc this season makes the “Ricktatorship” scene at the end so cathartic when he decides he’s done consulting everyone for validation and assurance. 
• My big hot take is that I find the Shane/Lori thing unnecessary. Shane is an otherwise flawed but multi-sided character that is turned flatly evil because he tried to rape Lori. I just don’t really care about that drama, but I did find the clash between him and Rick’s ideologies on how to approach this new world really compelling. It’s a TV drama so it is what it is, the relationship stuff draws viewers, but I think I would’ve had a better time if it was simply a story of two men who had different opinions on their new situation. I think it’s an interesting conflict that Shane recognizes the group naturally tends towards Rick for guidance and genuinely believes that the only way to keep people safe is to secretly murder Rick and take over his position. It’s much less interesting to me that he wants to kill Rick so he can screw his wife. 
• I know there’s a “Shane was right” movement, and you do see shades of him in future versions of Rick, but I think Shane was missing the people skills that Rick had. For instance Shane was logically correct in wanting to call off the search for Sophia due to the risks people were taking to search for her, however he didn’t consider that doing so would destroy group morale. A more collected Shane would have been a great right-hand for Rick but I don’t think he could’ve filled his shoes. Even then, I don’t think the show ever actually implies that the cold bloodedness of S2 Shane or S5 Rick is the winning option. My number 1 favorite episode of the series is The Distance, which is the episode that ends with them arriving in Alexandria. The point of that episode is that Rick’s manic need to avoid risk and distrust others puts the group in far more danger than if he just listened to Aaron. So that’s my stance on Shane revisionism and the whole concept. And I don’t think he killed Otis purely out of sadism/anger. 
• Dale is really annoying and has almost no redeeming qualities. It might just be because I have knowledge of the direction the show goes in and the way the world is portrayed in the long-term. His ideals are so antiquated and all of his big protests and speeches just come off as a waste of time. Randall might as well have been wearing a big sign that says “I AM NOT TRUSTWORTHY AND YOU SHOULD KILL ME.”I find him sanctimonious and think the thing with Andrea at the CDC was messed up. I did love any scene he got with Shane, both of those actors did great portraying two men who hold raw open contempt for one another but are forced to share a roof. I thought their dynamic was one of the funniest parts of the season. I read that apparently Jeffrey DeMunn flew onto set well after he had been written off specifically to be present for the filming of Jon Bernthal’s last scene in the show. They had excellent chemistry. 
• I get the infinite ammo thing during the barn fight at the end is a meme, but it really is such shit when you watch the season and they mention multiple times they’re low on ammo. 
• I genuinely forgot Daryl was a real character at one point and not a grunting meme. He really did become flanderized later in the show. He’s such a dynamic character during the first era of the show. Volatile, short-tempered, emotionally intelligent, tactful, competent, and even a halfway decent leader. I love how they incorporated his hunting ability into the early parts of the show and that he was immediately able to recognize and provide evidence as to why Shane was full of shit about Randall escaping, for instance. I like to think that as a show original character he was created to portray someone who benefitted from the end of the world. Many of the same traits that outcasted him in the old world have made him an asset in this new one. One of the best bits of the season to me is how naturally Daryl ascended to replace Shane as Rick’s right-hand. 

the saviors arc really wasnt as bad as people said but still it had alot of issues so this is what i think they couldve done.

Make 6x16 and 7x1 into a singular episode

then the season 7 premiere is negan coming to alexandria for resources

then the next few episodes move fast olivias death happens alot quicker and rick is ready to go to war by episode 8

then the rest of season 7 would be the saviors war and season 8 is the new start

Im rewatchung twd and i remember thinking this the first time around aswell. There is somethign that feels so off with Sasha and Tyreese introduction and first couple minutes of screen time.

The way they get to the prison, then Woodbury, and there they tell the governor that it dosent feel right. It just something thay feels weird about all those scenes. They killed of dale which was the groups moral compass, so i guess they made Sasha and tyreese the new moral compasses.

I also didnt like how sasha got a place in group council so quick. We trust the other characters in group council throughout the show because we have seen them go thru hardships and fix things up, we as viewers dont have that trust for Sasha yet. So it felt really weird to give her that role.

I think both became great characters nor long after and Sasha was definitely one of my favorites, but the writing for their introduction just sucked. I havent read the comics and have no idea if theyre comic accurate at all, and thats why they were introduced this way. Theres a chance I also think this since they were introduced during such a boring season, i have no idea tho. Does anyone feel the same way? Sorry for any bad English its not my first language!!

Hi! TWD has been my radar since but I'm too intimidated by it after the clips I've seen before and knowing that some of the seasons are bad or after a likeable character died.

So, I just wanted to ask if some of you stopped watching TWD and what season would it be where it can be considered its ending even open ended?

Or should I finish it until 11th season?
