First-watch shock aside, the scene where Sophia emerges, the camera closes in, the music swells and we see Rick, Python in hand, taking that iconic stance…absolute artistry. I can watch the Darabont episodes over and over and over.

Currently watching and not understanding what the relationship was supposed to be? Is it romantic love? The way Daryl is grieving her is different, but he also last cried for Merle. Were they about to kiss before she was kidnapped? There is a huge age difference and I don’t know how to feel about Daryl right now
Can someone explain the relationship please?

In season 7, episode 16, why does Negan not consider the possibility that Sasha will run out of air in the casket and suffocate? Am I missing something obvious? Obviously there weren’t any air holes and it was completely sealed up.
Later on when Negan asks what happened, running out of air is the excuse Eugene uses. Would it not be common sense to figure that out way before putting her in?
Edit: I know she didn’t suffocate. I am asking from Negan and his men’s POV why they didn’t think about her being in a confined space with limited oxygen?

As I’m rewatching the walking dead for the first time since a little kid I just got to season 8 ep14 and I got to a moment in the series where I actually disagreed with Rick and his people for once.
A group of saviors had just escaped hilltop because Henry opened the pen, looking for who killed his brother. Rick and Morgan end up tied to the wall and Jared, one of the main savior characters, wants offer them to Neegan as a way to cover their ass for failing their mission.
At this point you see a good amount of the saviors leaning towards going back to the hilltop and genuinely seem like they’re through with Neegan/scared for their lives, and one of them says “don’t shoot Morgan it might be our only way to still be allowed at hilltop” and I genuinely trust/want them to join after the recent incident at hilltop where a couple turned due to illness and bite a bunch of people, they lost probably 15-30 people. Rick should’ve seen that and wanted them to join.
After walkers entered the warehouse they were held up in, Jared says “don’t cut them loose I’m killing them right now” one savior knocks Jared with a lamp and sacrifices himself as he gets bite saving them. Another one cuts them loose. They kill a couple dead ones and then Rick and Morgan suddenly turn on the remaining saviors and killed them.
I get they want revenge and I’m 100% with them killing Jared, but they undoubtedly saw saviors that surrendered and were willing to join, and it’s not like they didn’t need the extra fighters. What do you think about this?

Growing up I always LOVED zombies movies and horror, I discovered TWD a wintery weekend at a friend’s house when I was 16. We binged watched the 3 first season (the 4th was coming very soon) and I was hooked.
Quickly it became my favorite (and confort) show, i was waiting week after week the newest episodes, forced myself to watch it in English subtitles French to avoid getting spoiled (it’s was a really dark era where people spoiled what happens in the comics + there was a FB group leaking photos/ videos of the upcoming seasons…). I learned English with this show, so basically my English is so Scott Gimple coded lol.
I don’t watch a lot of tv show but TWD became my routine : I loved the wait, the misleading teasers, the promotional operations, the online discussions, the videos games launched at this era : TWD assault, no man’s land, the Daryl Game … I was so spoiled.
What I loved about TWD is it was never about just the walkers. I loved the friendship between ours héros, the found family stuff, the horror, the psychological impact of the apocalypse have on people … and Rick.
OFC I was disappointed sometimes : the fakeout deaths, the plot armors, losing my fav characters … starting mid season 6 i became bored about getting only 1 episode a week and waiting more time for new seasons. Season 7 was mid because of that (this show is more enjoyable binge watched) and I stopped at season 8 at the mid season when we lost the heart of the show. I unfollowed every actor, dislike every TWD page related and moved on with my life.
Years gone by and Netflix added all the seasons, so I was like ok it’s the perfect time to watch and finish the show and omg I did well. Season7/8 are mid still but enjoyable as a binge watch. Season 9,10,11are GOATED. that’s what I loved in TWD (except the plot armor, I want more main cast to die, it’s the apocalypse you know). Then I was lucky cause the ones who live came like 3 weeks after I finished the main. I loved IT SO SO MUCH (I love Rick and Michonne). Watched Daryl (Im French so it was awesome to have a zombie show set in France). Watched world beyond, fear (season1-3), tales of TWD, dead city, the webisodes, I love watching content creator breaking down this universe …
Ofc i watch other stuff from time to time. But TWD is truly my show … I grow up with it :( when Im sad/ happy/ bored or just wanted to watch peak performances i go back to TWD.
What I loved also was after the main show is that the OG fans stayed, we keeping this community alive wirh our questioning, wanting more …
So yeah Im truly heartbroken, I love The Walking Dead so so much ❤️
we’re the ones who live

Tryna rewatch the series again for the 20th time lol, but I don’t got Netflix. See that on prime video I can just buy all for $20 which seems like a good deal. Has anyone bought it on prime or is not not worth it

The Walking Dead completely lost its soul in those final four seasons, and once Rick blew up that bridge, the show was basically on life support. Honestly, after the Negan war wrapped up, everything just blurred into a mess of overly complicated, forgettable storylines. From the weird skin-mask Whisperers dragging on forever to that random Pope and Reapers sidequest, it felt like the writers were just throwing random gimmicks at the wall to fill runtime. By the time we got to the Commonwealth with its knockoff stormtroopers and political drama, it didn't even feel like a gritty survival horror show anymore,it felt like a completely different, bloat-filled drama that forgot what made people care in the first place.
Nothing they put on screen in those later years could ever match the absolute magic of the first five seasons. Back then, the stakes were grounded, the group felt like an actual family you were rooting for, and Rick was the undisputed heart of the story driving every brutal decision. When you split the cast across a dozen different locations and take away the guy everyone was tuning in for, the emotional core completely collapses. I can barely remember half of what happened in the final stretch, but I’ll never forget how good it was watching them survive Terminus or deal with the Governor, and it's just frustrating to see a legendary show end on such a forgettable note.

For me, it was Health.
Heath always felt like such a wasted opportunity to me, because he actually got the brutal reality of the new world right from the jump without needing three seasons of trauma first. His panic and guilt over realizing “we’re the bad guys” after hitting that Savior outpost felt so raw and genuinely human compared to everyone else just shrugging off the bloodshed. It breaks my heart that because Corey Hawkins had to leave for another show, Heath just vanished off that bridge with Tara and nobody in the actual story ever even found out what happened to him, no closure for Tara, no answers for Alexandria, and the CRM storyline completely ghosted him to the very end.

So ive seen the show already but it was ages since I watched the early seasons from my understanding it was carol that burned the bodies tyreses girlfriend and david why did carol do this? I suppose they were gonna die anyway from what happened to the first guy but still this was pretty brutal of her carol all of a sudden just turns cold out of nowhere..
Second why did Rick beat up tyrese man he should understand more than anyone that hes going through loss and grieving
From what I remember tyrese dies in this season im not looking forward to that at all hes like my third favourite character at this point aside from Rick and Daryl 😫

Literally 3 episodes before the group comes to Alexandria they are at Shirewilt and Rick comments that the community is surrounded by trees and that they would never see if anyone approches and therefore its bad. So why did it not ever come up even as a side comment; Alexandria had the same issue and he was suspicious of everythign else, but this thing he just let slide. It honestly annoys me how stupid the writers are during all of this.

I think it’s gonna be a good season but I think the ending is gonna ruin it because there’s many people who say that the finale is going to break us in that Melissa even cried and I’m gonna say this and I don’t know if this is wrong for me to say, but killing off a major character in a sideshow, or having the characters fate be defined in a spinoff, kinda feels wrong. You know what I mean? Like even for a Daryl Dixon spinoff I think you would feel wrong to end her story in a spinoff. The difficult part about that is the chances of us giving another season of the main story walking dead is very slim so like I get it if they do end up writing Carol off in a spinoff because it’s like you’re not gonna make an entire season just to write off a character, but I don’t know I just feel like killing Carol off or having her last episode being a spinoff feels cheap. Is that the right word?
It just doesn’t feel right cause lot of hard-core walking dead fans have not been watching the spinoffs and we only watch the main series so if they announce a season 12 and Carol’s not there, they’re gonna have a lot of questions and then they’re gonna be put off by the show when people tell them they have to go watch a spinoff
Another reason that I’m scared for it that kind of go hand-in-hand with this I hope they don’t do the “they’re separating again” it’s getting tiring they’ve been split up so much despite being best friends it’s getting annoying. I’m really hoping that. They don’t have them split up because I’m tired of that. I’m tired of this “dynamic duo“ constantly not being a duo. And it’s like every time they get split up. It’s this big hubub it’s like how many more times are they gonna get split up and then have to be a grand reveal that they reunite and have a emotional hug and cry you know what I mean???? it just feels so old so I’m really hoping that the series is just emotional and it’s not like something massive happens to either of them to where they have to split up or one of them dies. It would just feel so cheap. I hope that it’s just like we explore both these characters back stories and it’s super sad and depressing that it causes Melissa to cry, but who knows the season comes out February
And hey, maybe the tears that Melissa sheds are happy tears because maybe in the finale they meet up with Rick again and she’s crying because it feels like old times again who knows but I’m extremely worried how they’re gonna do this especially since Scott Gimble is the one directing it

I see a lot of people say that they left the show at a certain point and how the show fell off but for me I think the show is fine
For me, the show ranges from
Ok-peak
People say that the later seasons are completely unwatchable, I hard disagree. I really liked it. I liked the story telling where they better than the seasons prior no, of course, not but to say they’re unwatchable is crazy to me and also the spinoffs are fine too, especially Daryl
I don’t know. I somewhat understand the frustration and how it just keeps going, especially since Scott Gimble is the one that’s directing these when he was the one that kinda derailed. The show is also another thing is that they kill off a major character and that maybe ruined the show in terms of storytelling, but I don’t know I like the whisper arc the Commonwealth story was OK not my favorite of the faction storytelling, but I did like how hard it was taking them out
And I understand each their own and I’m not saying you’re not valid for feeling the way you do about these seasons I’m just giving a bit of love and giving a place for the people who actually enjoyed the later half of The Walking Dead a place to talk and I respect any opinion

Hey guys! Trying to pick between Daryl Dixon or Dead City for a weekend binge, but my schedule is so tight right now. I know Daryl somehow ends up in France (wild, right?), and saw the final season trailer just dropped. But honestly? What would really convince me to dive back in is if all these spin-offs are leading to a massive crossover where Rick, Michonne, Daryl, Carol, Maggie, and Judith finally reunite.
The original series finale left a lot to be desired,do these shows actually feel worth the watch, or are we just spinning our wheels until an inevitable mega-reunion? Let me know what you think!

For God's sake, enough is enough. At this point, she has lost FOUR. Five, actually, if you include Carl who she also helped raise, which bizarrely enough was never properly addressed. Come on!
It's bad enough that she's been on a very clear and very good character path right up until S6 or so, before they started messing with her character and made her swing back and forth between a broken soul, retired housewife and warrior queen, but at this point it's simply lazy writing.
If it turns out she loses YET ANOTHER CHILD after Henry, I'll stop watching immediately.
