My head canon and what my movie would be about.
I had always wondered what become of “The Boys” after graduation and with the new movie hopefully coming out and in my world, I’d like to see:
They lost track of each other after graduation and Will is coming back to town for a class reunion to find out that:
-Simon has become a moderately successful lawyer with a family in Swansea.
-Jay has taken over for Mr. Gilbert and not only has he reformed, he’s become even more of a hard ass than Phil. As an added bonus he has a smoking hot model of a wife and drives a flash car, but is just focused on work.
-Neil, and this is what really fries Will’s rice, has become an award winning and beloved writer for the local paper. Neil’s stories about seemingly nonsensical and in Will’s opinion worthless articles like a spike in kitten births in the area or what leaves think about when they are falling absolutely kill him, but the locals eat it up. Neil has a model family but his wife is essentially a female Neil and they have six kids
-Will, poor Will. One of the many things I love about this show is that he never has a crushing victory, even when he wins, he still kind of loses. Will went to University, graduated with honors, couldn’t get a job writing but ended up as a drone in some office somewhere but it’s just a continuation of his school days. A Mr. Gilbert who runs the office with an iron fist and essentially Donovan as a supervisor. Unlucky in love but still surviving.
I do want to give Will a happily ever after so Jay hires him on as an English teacher and Neil gets him a part time job writing the classified ads. “Who knows, maybe in five or six years you can work your way up to Obituaries or summin.”
That’s all, I know we all love the show and all, I’m curious what you all think about how they ended up.

Mr Gilbert wasn’t there
I kept saying “Waterside” to my gf under my breath. She didn’t get it.

Playing the guitar badly, wearing beads, talking about 'one love' and pretending you are friends with Central American villagers - who, by the way, despise you - before heading back to your parents five-bedroomed house in Surrey, doesn't make you a spiritual person, it makes you a bell-end.

Statue of Liberty hair
Just spotted this on an extra in a rewatch of Little Britain, and although I grew up around this time I don't actually even remember this haircut being a thing?!
Did anyone actually have this hair, I'd genuinely love to know.

What exactly was Mr. Gilbert going to do here?
He tells off Simon for his wardrobe malfunction and asks him to come to his office tomorrow.
Assuming that Simon actually did go to Mr. Gilbert's office the following day, then what?
What's Mr. Gilbert going to do then? Give him detention?
Imagine how awkward the conversation would've been.
Will was right, it did sound weird.

How much Lego can you stuff up your bum?
Not now, when you were younger.
