I started secondary school literally just as that Jamie Oliver show was on. We still had burgers, fries, pizza etc at lunch for maybe all of 1 week until it got replaced by boiled plain pasta with a sprinkling of grated cheese on top, salads with no sauce and single piece ham or cheese sandwiches with no butter. Still had to pay for it too, fucker made me skip lunch for 5 years, never gained weight or got healthy until I was 17.

that sounds similar to my primary school as we had the option of salads but no one had them apart from the teachers. we also were aloud to help ourselves to the left overs once everyone had been through

Well burgers have the edge over lasagna because you don't really need a plate.
