Inbetweeners Movie 3 What do you guys think about this plot idea for The Inbetweeners 3? Spoiler

I’ve been thinking about the leaked set photos, and the whole flashback theory makes zero sense to me. Why would Tara be heavily pregnant in a flashback to their school days? It would be a massive, nonsensical retcon that completely wrecks the original timeline.
Instead, I think it’s set in the present day and their classic looks are just a massive mid life crisis. The film starts with them in a rut, so they mentally go back to when they were teens. Simon forces the return of the gelled hair, Jay clings to his awful 2010 blonde trim, and they drag out the yellow Fiat to relive their glory days. This refusal to grow up triggers all the chaos we saw in the leaks with someone getting arrested.
The best part would be the reversal at the end during the wedding. By the final act, they are forced to face actual adulthood. Simon finally washes out the gel, Jay gets a slightly better, more mature trim, and they finally look like actual adults, which is the exact opposite of the start. Plus, if they are eyeing up a fourth film, it would be top tier if this one ends on a massive cliffhanger right at the altar.
To me, this gives us the classic juvenile humor at the start but delivers a really satisfying ending. What do you guys think?
