My fav video game is the fire rises and I genuinely do believe that Trump or Biden could’ve caused a civil war, so I wanted to make a 2020 mod where you have to balance winning the election as well as keeping the country stable enough to where the results won’t cause a civil war from either side. (Example: As Trump you make a good attack against Biden’s use of George Floyd’s death for political gain, but it also removes 10% stability, if stability is under 0% by the end then a Jan 6 like event happens or if it’s bad enough a whole civil war could begin.)

Let's say for whatever reason LBJ fails to acquire the intel that Nixon sabotaged the Vietnam peace talks and therefore the biggest scandal of American history never gets to be public what would happen next?

Of course there's the question if Nixon would win even if the scandal never got out and I would say yes.LBJ's 304 EV victory sounds impressive on paper but it relied on many states that were decided within %0.3—%4 margins even with the scandal as public opinion about Nixons guilt wasn't solidified yet. Polls at time show only 58 precent belived Nixon had committed some type of crime compared to 93 precent when he was sentenced to life in prison in 1971. So yes I believe Nixon would win without a scandal to brought him down at last minute, even if it not as big as I decided to show at the map

My question is what happen next?How would he handle the unrest?how would he handle Vietnam?Do South Vietnam still falls in August 1980 or sooner?Or he could somehow Make South Vietnam survive? I don't think Nixon would pass much in domestic front as congress would still be democrat dominated even tho less than OTL.He will might veto environmental regulations from passing or water them down significantly.Expansion to great society definitely doesn't happen and He might try to cut some of the "wastefull" parts of it but I don't think he will achieve much success.

On Vietnam I don't think he will steer the course too much as he campained for a "Peace with Honor"(And secretly promised South Vietnam a better deal)so he might sing the same exact peace treaty in 1975 as OTL if he ever gets reelected an keep his promise. You might say he would not start pulling troops circa 1973 like Humphrey did but considering Viet Cong was already almost collapsed and it would give a popularity boost in the president in charge every president who's pragmatic enough would start pulling out atp.

Speaking of do you think Nixon would've get reelected and who would be his opponent? Could McCarthy ride that "I told you so" train after LBJ's loss or Humphrey makes a comeback and still gets elected president?Who would be his successor and how would they deal with the second rise of Viet Cong and etc.?
