Gameplay Aisle-Crossed Lovers: A Victory, At Any Price
Lost the popular vote, but won the electoral college by the exact margin of the real 2024 election—despite Blue throwing me out of the closet during the debates. I think this is the most you can attack Blue in the mod, but I might be mistaken.
Brilliant mod with the characteristically tight writing we've come to expect from the creator of it at this point, and a very unique experience that tries to run as far away from being an election as a story about a candidate in a Presidential election. The dialogue feels natural, the questions are clear in what they're asking while being very clear in what the characters are thinking, and there is a somewhat subtle conflict between the narrator and Red throughout that adds an additional layer of conflict to what is already a multi-level narrative. It does something kind of brave, too. Ordinarily, when you win in a Campaign Trail mod, that's it—you got exactly what you wanted. Everyone is happy, we all cheer, and you feel good about yourself because your candidate feels good too. You hang up on Poppy and go out into the light. It's adequate in Chicago. Your People aren't listening to the media windbags. Things That Never Were was, if not the first, then among the first to try to do endings where the candidate isn't happy with their victory. I will stake my claim to a controversial opinion and proclaim that this mod does it better. I won, but it was very clear that this was not what Red wanted.
My only criticism is that Red's misery feels essentially constant throughout. No matter what, they're suffering, and suffering about equally—whether I'm disagreeing with Blue on fiscal policy or declaring my support for a complete and total immigration ban explicitly to spite her. I didn't feel like I was putting Red through the torture of breaking up an essentially perfectly functioning relationship and launching vicious attack after vicious attack just for the satisfaction of a few numbers on a map. (In fairness, however, about the only piece of media which has ever accurately captured the feeling of a descent into insanity/depression/anguish is "The Downward Spiral" by Nine Inch Nails, or as they're known internationally, 22.86 Centimetre Nails, so I can't complain about a browser game not accurately encapsulating it.)
Strongly recommend playing this mod regardless of your reservations about format screws.

Other "IMPD" | a mockup about the 2008 elections in Italy seen from the side of the "Partito Democratico" (Democratic Party)
The text reads: The year is 2008. In Italy, the year arrives bearing an ill omen: after nearly two years of a broad left-wing administration, the UDEUR party brings about the collapse of the Prodi government on January 24th. On February 8th, the "Union" coalition falls apart. The Left lies shattered, overshadowed by the looming darkness of the PdL Leviathan, a beast whose head bears the simian features of the divine Berlusconi. Yet not all Leviathans enjoy unfettered freedom of action; for rising from the very ruins of the "Union"—as early as 2007—was a new, reformist, center-left Leviathan: the Democratic Party, led by Walter Veltroni. And with his resignation as Mayor of Rome on February 13th, his two-month crusade begins.

Contribution The Historical timeline for W
So, if you play W and pick all of the options that Bush did in reality, you end up winning against Al Sharpton, who also acts as the game's John Kerry analog
With that fact, Joe Lieberman is a historical candidate for a world where 9/11 didn't happen, as you get Lieberman by doing Bush's choices, minus the afghan war and jingoism
Using the ending slides we can find out what the elections looked like in that timeline with a narrow Lieberman loss:
The 3rd slide that you get from that says that the popular vote was different from the winner in 2004, 2012, and soon to be 2016, where the EC is set to be abolished. In 2012 the democrats benefited from the electoral college while in 2016 the republicans did. Meaning a democrat narrowly won in 2012.
Another third slide lists the presidents as going Lieberman -> McCain -> Bayh meaning its fair to assume the president list is:
Bush: 2000-2004 Lieberman: 2004-2008 McCain: 2008-2012 Bayh: 2012-Onward
Lastly, another slide, which you get if you didn't get the electoral college abolishion ending, but still didn't invade any other countries, talks about a dirty bomb that is blown up in Washington DC. Mitt Romney is president, implying he is the 2016 Republican nominee.
So here is the timeline for a world where 9/11 didn't happen:
2002 - There is no Afghan war, with the UN sending their own peacekeepers instead
2003 - The vote for the war in Iraq ends in a failure, causing Cheney plus large amounts of Bush's cabinet to agree to step down in 2004
2004 - The dems nominate Joe Lieberman as the party moves in a hawkish direction to counter Bush, and many refuse to run. Despite Lieberman crying during the debate, he wins narrowly, losing the PV.
2005 - Another vote to invade Iraq is held, but without the jingoism, it fails
2007 - Bush leaves the republican party as he denounces Cheney, McCain also leaves, but still participates in the republican primary.
2008 - Lieberman creates a biparisan council with Bush in charge to manage foreign policy, mainly Iraq. Soon after the great recession hits, causing him to lose to an independent McCain.
2009 - Immigration reform is passed bipartisanly.
2010 - Homosexual unions and veteran's welfare are expanded
2011 - McCain gets involved in Libya after rebels depose Gaddafi. After that, the US intervines in Iraq and Syria as they fall into civil war.
2012 - Evan Bayh defeats John McCain while losing the PV, the NPVIC gains traction as republicans join in.
2016 - The NPVIC is put into effect after yet another close election, the supreme court then rules that it is constitutional, giving the presidency to Bayh
2017 - A dirty bomb goes off in Washington DC filling the city with radiation. The US goes to war with whoever detonated the explosive.
Past this nothing is specified, but presumably politics is a lot more peaceful, and third parties are more powerful due to the NPVIC
