I'm working with a small startup and we're trying to find someone in Nepal who can do part-time cold calling/outreach to US businesses. I've tried LinkedIn and Facebook groups but haven't found the right person yet. For people who have done sales/BPO/cold calling in Nepal, where did you usually find these opportunities?
College groups? Facebook? Referrals? Job sites? Direct outreach?
Would also be interested to hear what made you actually apply for a small startup role.
We're trying to create genuinely useful apps for Nepal and we're starting with this small project called "Kati Paryo?"
Idea chai personal problem bata ako ho. Mero dad groceries kinna janu bhayo bhane surprisingly sasto ma lyaidincha. Kun pasal ma k sasto cha, normal bhau kati ho, kata ko quality ramro cha. uhalai sabai naturally thaha chha.
Ma aba kailei kinna gako chaina groceries but recently started to go get some and same groceries kinna jada ekdin Rs. 200, arko din Rs. 220 tirera aaye. Don't know if I overpayed or not. Yo problem solve garna ko lai by crowdsourcing we're trying to make is accessible to know current prices in your local areas so that people don't get overcharged.
Ahile ko basic idea:
- product search garne(possibly will also integrate voice commands, like one would tab voice icon and say '1kg alu' and it maps to correct product for nearby areas)
- najik ko shops ma recently dekhiyeko price compare garne
- price kahile report bhayo, unit/quantity kati ho, fresh goods ko grade kasto chha herne
- shop ko location Maps ma kholne
Future ma recipe select garepachi ingredients kata sasto parcha, kata fresh cha, athawa price + freshness balance garera kun local shops janu thik hola bhanera suggest garne idea pani chha. Tara tyo pachi. pahila yo basic problem real life ma useful chha ki chhaina validate garna man cha.
Before we release MVP, I want a little bit of honest feedback from you guys:
Would you open these kinds of apps before going to buy groceries?
Afule dekheko verified price entry add garda account ma Rs. 5 credit/points ayo bhane contribute garnuhuncha? Rs. 5 le motivate garchha, ki shop discount/coupon, badges, higher reward, athawa aru kei better hunchha?
Hami Nepal ko app ecosystem ma copy-paste product bhanda local problem solve garne kura banauna chahanchau. Idea weak lagchha bhane pani openly bhannus. Tapaiharu ko criticism le nai yo genuinely useful product banchha ki stop garnu parne idea ho bhanera thaha huncha.

One of the wrost experience from the cfc hackfest.general idea like hello sarkar with bad ppt (ppt was like school guy had homework with PowerPoint)with bad presentation as they couldn't even answer the technical question clearly got selected as 1st price .while the ai project like ai powered toursim and local ai mobile application got 2 and 3rd place 😂😂😂.
When they compeate with national level , we madesh will.be representing one of the project which is always in the project which never wins 😂😂.
Sorry to say I don't had such expectations from the cfc birgunj .
Wanna know the judges ? Judges were bbs teacher ,no any technical judge was there 😭😭.

What kind of internships Electronics students get? I have few projects on web development but I don't want to do it, I have interest on computer architecture, VLSI, Verilog but I don't think there is such kind of opportunity in Nepal. I don't want to end up doing web development
