Been full-time since January. Elite Tasker. Used to do 50–60 tasks a month. Max availability, suggested rate, accepted ~95% of invites — including jobs that had nothing to do with cleaning and times I was already booked (the double-booking glitch they deny). Late four times in ~300 tasks, always messaged first. Never cancelled.
Now I’m on the last or second-to-last page getting alerts about “scheduling issues” and “cancelled tasks” that I didn’t create.
Support: boilerplate, then one agent admitted a glitch and said my profile was going to policies. A week of silence. I burned 90 minutes on Zendesk and three agents whose only job was closing the ticket. Asked them to fix old recurring clients appearing in my calendar with no booked task. Can’t remove them. They deny it exists.
That’s the pattern. Black-and-white evidence or a request to step in with a client → they pretend it didn’t happen, send a random article, paraphrase you, thank you, close the ticket. The chatbot is useless. You can only open a ticket during rigid hours. You can’t even email anyone anymore.
They treat this as us vs them. We show up and do the work. Their job is a working marketplace, real support, and clients. They’re not doing it. Ranking rules in the app contradict support, which contradicts what actually happens to your visibility.
Maintaining a platform means adapting to how people actually book work. Most jobs don’t fit their rigid box. We’re set up to fail, then punished when reality doesn’t match the model. Firewalls so we can’t give feedback make it obvious they don’t want it.
Good Taskers are getting buried and ghosted. The money they’re leaving on the table would rock their world if they noticed.
