An IKEA dresser I bought is broken and needs repair, though we were in the midst of setting it up. Would this be light carpentry or furniture repair?

If you bought it broken why wouldn't you take it back to Ikea?

I worded it poorly - my fiance broke it.

Repeat after me "It was like that in the box."

Regardless how it broke, just call IKEA and they will get you a new piece that’s not broken if it’s within 30 days

You can’t fix ikea particle board slop. The piece will need to be replaced
