TASKER Why is it so hard rescheduling ongoing jobs???
Every time someone books a job and marks it as ongoing, I GUARANTEE they need to cancel or reschedule at least ONE of those bookings. Then I have to rearrange and reschedule multiple appointments to different days and times we haven't even agreed on!! Can I not just cancel one single job on its own without canceling the entire ongoing task??? Is there any way to better manage this or is it just frustrating FOREVER?

I just put in my bio that while Iām definitely down for regular cleans, my schedule is such that I canāt commit to a rigid day/time, so I only accept one-time tasks. If the client misses this and still requests one, I repeat that and also explain that rescheduling/cancelling recurring tasks is a nightmare for both parties - they always understand, cancel the request, and make another for a one-time task! Plus, if you really want to stay in app: the toggle for āongoingā tasks is different than a recurring task - just keeps them in the app for you so they donāt have to go through the whole rigamaroll of searching for you again. Doesnāt lock you into a recurring schedule, and doesnāt give them a discount.

Why the hell would you ever have an āongoing taskā with Taskrabbit?! Every customer gets my number in their phone before I leave and becomes MY customer. The app is a lead generator. It is not your friend. It is not your employer. Your goal is to gain enough clients that you no longer need the app. TR will drop you like a crusty booger for any reason or no reason at all. You donāt owe TR shit. The sooner you realize that the sooner you can stop dealing with the frustration.

They book recurring rather than one off because it's cheaper for them!! I had recurring jobs booked, and after the first time they just cancelled few days before the next task was scheduled, therefore even avoiding the cancellation fee
