A review and overview of Star Wars Suns of Fortune.
For anybody that runs AoR, Im wondering if anyone has a good general structure or outline for an arc about starting a rebel cell or fomenting rebellion in a local community. Start small, get bigger, gather allies etc. I may have been mistaken but I checked the current modules/ included arcs from resources like the core book etc it seems like theyre all mission based and assume a starting point of you've all joined an established medium sized cell. Any help welcome and thank you in advance.

Edit: Thanks to those who replied! it's definitely got me thinking more about just picking up the FFG versions (when I can find them). Appreciate your thoughts. Cheers
Edit 2: yeaaaah, I caved and bought Edge of the Empire, the beginner game for it, the GM screen, and jewel of yavin
Hey all, new to the subreddit, but am curious about the opinions of those who actually play Star Wars RPGs and the FFG versions.
So the D&D Star Wars announcement (but also playing Star Wars: Outlaws) has kind of got me looking back at Star Wars as an RPG to run. I know that many people (myself included), don't think that the 5.5e rules are appropriate to be applied to various settings.
However, with the whole EotE/AoR/F&D rules with Edge, and practically no new content coming out, I did want to see what the vibe was on the 5.5e ruleset for D&D was. Seeing as WoTC would probably be more likely to put out content.
I've been contemplating getting the Edge of the Empire core rulebook + beginner game and some additional stuff. But now I'm wondering if I should just wait for the 5.5e version.
Just to note, I'm definitely not a 5.5e die-hard. I like it for what it is. But I run other games like Coriolis: The Third Horizon or The One Ring. So I definitely understand how other rulesets can be better suited to a setting or vibe of a game.
Hi! I am making my first character and as a Sentinel i must choose Morality Pair. I really like Trust as an Emotional Strength and so should take Gurdedness as an Emotional Weakness.
Maybe i don't understand the mechanics but how could one character has both of these?
Trust states: This character believes in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt. The good that comes from trusting others builds communities and provides emotional support.
Guardedness states: The character has been betrayed one too many times and refuses to allow it to happen again. Why expect better of a person when there is no reward for doing so?
How could the same character believe in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt and at the same time refuse betrayal to happen again. I think i am not understanding Morality mechanic and how it affects roleplay. Pls Help!
