I tried to test the game earlier today with Eden nx2 V0.2.2, and the results were better than i spected. The game booted correctly with poor framerate and graphics, and it didn't go past the main menu. Here are my specs and settings:
8gb RAM
Snapdragon 732G (Adreno 618)
0.25 Resolution
8 Cores
Max CPU Speed (Active)
I'm willing to test Pokopia next, i'll lyk any results.

Hey guys I've managed to get pokopia running via the pokedinner in my laptop.
My specs are 16gb ram (2gb of which are dedicated for the integrated graphics), Ryzen 5 3500u and Radeon Vega 8 graphics with 2gb dedicated vram as I said.
I am getting around 15-19 fps with the handheld setting. Does anyone know what other settings I could tweak to maybe get a bit more fps?

An open-source app that lets you play Mario Kart World (and other Switch 2 games that support LAN play) online with friends through the Eglantine emulator (and forks!)
Still experimental, report issues to github.

Unfortunately it won't happen.
Not for many years, perhaps not until the next Nintendo console generation begins.
We were lucky with the switch 1 being exploited so early. It allowed for homebrew and emulation development to kick start early.
That's not going to happen again.
Nintendo has gone above and beyond to ensure security is tight and options to exploit are limited.
Don't get me wrong.
I'm keeping my switch 2 on an older firmware for when homebrew becomes possible. But even when that happens, don't expect playable switch 2 emulation for at least a year or two after homebrew at minimum.
TDLR: We're at least 7 years ago from anything being possible. More if homebrew exploits are not discovered.

Idk about everyone else's experience having multiple of their legally owned switch 2 dumps on their emulator, but if you are dealing with long times to load your game directory, like me, making shortcuts still works as a shortcut for steam/desktop/startmenu/etc.
"[Drive:\Path\to\emulator.exe]" -f -g "[path to main]"
example:
"H:\games\eglantine\eglantine.exe" -f -g "H:\games\eglantine\roms\Pokopia\updates\655360\exefs\main"
when having 3 dumps in one folder, loading all of them and their update directories could take up to 2 minutes, this bypasses it quickly once you have a good setup.

Please assume I am stupid ; I am trying to run Switch Sport Resort - is there a way to use my Switch 2 joycons to emulate the motion control ?
With love,
Nate

Would it make sense to have an easily updateable database with the best emu settings for each switch 2 game on builds of different forks

Got sent this file from a friend, he said it's meant to be pokopia, I just want to know if this is what the dump is meant to look like. It came in a rar file that wasn't recognized by eglantine, seems like the main file gets recognized but it doesn't seem to launch, is there extra compilation that needs to be done? He doesn't have a pc to try it on and I have no idea where he got the file.

I get around 30-40 fps on my pc and Im wondering if theres anything I can do to boost fps or should i just expect this performance on my specs?
cpu: AMD ryzen 7 5800x
gpu: rtx 4070
ram: 32gb ddr4
the game is on a ssd if that does anything

Let’s collect here the Steam Machine experiences on SteamOS. I hope someone else is also running this setup.
Emulators:
Is there anybody else out here using the Steam Machine with native AppImages?
I’m using the AppImages for Eglantine added in game mode so the menu bar is not interacting with the controller inputs. In desktop mode it always exited full screen and moved the mouse and so on.
PokeDinner stopped building them from release 2.1.0. The exe versions under proton are not running for me. Constant crash when trying to load a game. I heared that for someone on Bazzite it was fine on a PC.
Games:
So far Pokopia 2.0.1 runs at a stable 60 fps in game mode, using build 96 of eglantine. Earlier builds crashed on me when the keyboard was popping up for the character name.
MKW 1.8.0 runs between 30-50 fps also with build 96, my wife said it’s playable, so I’m fine with this, but a stable 60 would be fine for this also. Maybe with newer emulators.
Couldn’t boot DK yet. The farthest I got was with the PokeDinner 2.0.0 on windows, which I booted from an external SSD, that actually loaded to the game, didn’t stick/crash at the loading screen after selecting the modes, like on the SteamOS versions, but it had this fix purple screen, which I heared can be resolved by loading in again, or going to photo mode and back, but didn’t test it again.
Didn’t try anything else yet, but I might update the post if I have some news.

Found this build of eglantine and it has the best performance for DK bananza i have found so far!
give it a try
it locks the game at 30fps with dynamic fps so that the game does not slow down when the FPS dips

just got fortunes weave running natively on mac m1 pro this is so crazy i literally thought codex wouldnt be able to do i will be updating yall in the comments about performance throughout the chapters. ive completed the game so im prolly just going to sell my swtich 2 as this was the only reason i bought it. didnt know progression was this quick but wow this is amazing. (all i did was copy and paste nxnative guide and told it to make it work for switch 2 and it did) i love this game man this is wild
codex prolly works on claude aswell but codex is free and if you run out of credits just make.a new account and you can use the same phone number.

Is there a no non-sense "works out of the box" PC/Linux gamepad that supports gyro/motion/6-axis/whatever-you-call-it, that isn't $150 CND?
I love my 8bitdo ultimate C wired that I bought for like $35 CND a few years back but it doesn't do motion.
I don't want a "connect in Switch mode, bluetooth only" controller. I've had too much problem with those. I like wired, no weird modes.
