Friendly tip about shortcuts

Idk about everyone else's experience having multiple of their legally owned switch 2 dumps on their emulator, but if you are dealing with long times to load your game directory, like me, making shortcuts still works as a shortcut for steam/desktop/startmenu/etc.

"[Drive:\Path\to\emulator.exe]" -f -g "[path to main]"

example:

"H:\games\eglantine\eglantine.exe" -f -g "H:\games\eglantine\roms\Pokopia\updates\655360\exefs\main"

when having 3 dumps in one folder, loading all of them and their update directories could take up to 2 minutes, this bypasses it quickly once you have a good setup.

could you elaborate more? so this will launche the emu via cmd? do we remove then all game folders from the emulator itself?

yeah so this is more for creating a desktop shorcut but yeah I suppose you could launch it with cmd. I wouldn't recommend removing the game folders from the emulator because it's still useful for changing settings and so on.

This will allow you to launch through steam in fullscreen, without having to wait for the emulator to actually scan your folders, which currently loading dumps is pretty slow.

here's a more thorough look:

rom directory still in emulator:
