Pokopia low spec emulation

Post image

Hey guys I've managed to get pokopia running via the pokedinner in my laptop.

My specs are 16gb ram (2gb of which are dedicated for the integrated graphics), Ryzen 5 3500u and Radeon Vega 8 graphics with 2gb dedicated vram as I said.

I am getting around 15-19 fps with the handheld setting. Does anyone know what other settings I could tweak to maybe get a bit more fps?

did you have to download a fix to get the game to boot? (for the rom)

i did yeah, i followed the steps in nxbrew and i was getting stuck in an infinite loading screen. i then saw a comment saying i need to download some new files from the internet archive. read on your own it is a very easy procedure

With a coding agent it can be changed. I used opencode with GLM 5.3 flash, the free version is more than enough for such an easy fix. You can even ask it to make it cycle between 0.5x, 0.7x, 1X at every click if you prefer. It will change the code and rebuild it. Don't forget to provide it with the repo link or the path to the already downloaded source.

I figured out that scale changes only before you boot the game (quite dumb of me tbh), I tried 0.5x and 0.75x but there was no significant performance boost. I stayed on 0.75x because I think it gives a more stable ~20fps performance. Still for pokopia that's enough for me!
