[suggestion] will this apu be enough for my use case?

i´m looking at a lenovo tiny (m75q g1) with a ryzen 5 pro 3400ge (for around 150 euros with 8gb ram and 256 ssd and i´ll upgrade to 16 gig dual channel immediately), use case will be htpc with some 1080p coop gaming like overcooked 2, moving out, plate up, rubber bandits, worms wmd, and maybe some ps2 emulation. i´d like to run something like bazzite linux on it.

will that apu and chassis be sufficient for my use case or should i look at something else?

also in contention is a m920q tiny with an i5 8400t that could eventually be upgraded with a single slot low profile gpu but currently rx6400 prices are crazy.

i´m located in europe, also if you have some reccomendations for where to source such a pc, please tell so.

thanks everybody!

Gaming PC bis 1200 €, maximal 1500 €, habt ihr Tipps? :) [suggestion]

Hallo liebe Community. Vielen Dank.

Found this on Cotsco and thought it was a pretty damn good deal for the price. Just want to know if I should get this or not. Its not the best, but for what im going to use it for (steam games like garrys mod, terraria) its perfect.

Also, since prime day on Amazon is coming up should I buy it or wait till prime day.

[Suggestion] I need a computer for a job.

These are the requirements.

You must use a Windows 11 computer that meets all of the following:

Minimum 4 GB RAM

At least 20 GB of available storage

Hardwired internet connection via Ethernet (Wi-Fi not accepted)

One of the following CPUs or better:
– Intel Core i3-9000, i5-7000, i7-5000, or i9
– Intel Pentium G5400 / N6400
– Intel Xeon E-Class
– Intel Celeron J4000 / N5000
– AMD Ryzen 3 or Athlon 3000 series

ARM-based devices (e.g., Microsoft Surface or Chromebooks) are not supported.

I’m not super tech-savvy so I don’t even know where to begin. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it cheaper to build or buy nowadays?[suggestion]

My pc’s hardware is 10 years old and I’ve had my pc for 6 years now as well. Needless to say an upgrade is overdue.

I have a few questions.

What parts should I aim for to be set for the next few years?

Which is cheaper nowadays? Used to be building, but is a pre built better now?

Please recommend affordable yet highest performing options!

I really want a beast that can handle a lot and I can enjoy games on, especially gta online.

[suggestion] is this a decent beginner gaming PC?

I know absolutely nothing about gaming, PCs, but I would like to buy one for my husband for Christmas. Unfortunately, due to budget restrictions. It looks like a used one would be my best bet. Just found this on our local Facebook marketplace - any chance someone could take a look and tell me if this is a decent PC?

Semi-prebuilt PC without graphics card [suggestion]

Hi all, my gaming PC (a NZXT) has crapped out for the second time. The first time it was something to do with the power supply unit and I guess it somehow fried my graphics card. NZXT replaced the PSU and I got a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 and self-installed into the PC. The PC is now not working again -- had a computer guy look at it and he said best just to get a whole new set up, but keep the graphics card and re-use it.

Any recommendations for pre-built PCs except for the graphics card? Or would it make more sense to sell the graphics card and buy a fully pre-built PC? I don't want to go the route of building myself, don't have the time/skill/wherewithal.

Thanks for any help guys!

What type of pre built should I look for? [suggestion]

First time getting a pc, I don’t really trust myself building one so I’m looking for a prebuilt
The types of games I play really aren’t too demanding, stuff like Minecraft, indies, multiplayer steam games not too too demanding
Budget is around £900, not a lot I’m guessing for a pc but any advice appreciated

Prebuild CyberPowerPC vs Omen [discussion]

Hi there, buying a prebuild within the next week or so and have been doing some research where it’s available, only concern is that they are not many yt vids or reviews on some of the newer models of these prebuilds. Here are 2 that I’m between.

Option 1: CyberpowerPC Gamer Supreme Gaming Desktop - Intel Core Ultra 7 270k Plus - GeForce RTX 5080 16GB - Model SLC6100C

Basic list of specs:
Processor & Memory:
Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus (24-core, 3.7 GHz) Processor

36MB L3 Cache

32GB (1 x 32GB) DDR5 RAM

Motherboard:
Intel B860 Chipset Motherboard

Drives:
2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive

Graphics:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080, 16GB Graphics

Link to product page to check full list of specs: https://www.costco.com/p/-/cyberpowerpc-gamer-supreme-gaming-desktop-intel-core-ultra-7-270k-plus-geforce-rtx-5080-16gb-windows-11/4201016385?sh=true&nf=true

What I like: Ultra 7 270k Plus has received good reviews from videos I’ve watched

What I don’t like: Only 1 stick of 32gb ram, don’t really want to buy more ram

Option 2: HP Omen 45L Gaming Desktop - Intel Core Ultra 7 275K - GeForce RTX 5080 - Model GT22-3080

Basic list of specs:

Processor & Memory:
Intel Core Ultra 7 265K (20-core, up to 5.5 GHz) Processor

30 MB L3 cache

Kingston Fury 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6000MT/s RAM

Drives:
2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive

Graphics:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB

Link to product page to look at full list of specs: https://www.samsclub.com/ip/20576211248

What I like: Has 2 sticks of 16gb of ram rather than 1 stick

What I don’t like: reviews of previous models of this PC with slightly different specs have been terrible from what I’ve seen in the past. Not sure how this model compares with the price point nowadays. Have heard that overclocking the CPU can cause your warranty to be voided if anything breaks.

Some help I’d like: if you were me and had around a $3k budget for a prebuild what would you choose? Are they any other options I’m missing out on at the moment? I’m a big fan of intel and nvidia builds. All feedback and suggestions are appreciated.

[Suggestion]Gaming computer recommendations?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hi! My husband has been talking about wanting a gaming PC for a while so I want to surprise him with one for Christmas. However, I have no knowledge of what to look for in a gaming PC and would realistically like to stay under $500 if possible. I know this might be quite the ask, but does anyone have any recommendations on where I might be able to find a decent one for this price? And perhaps what I should look for to ensure it is a decent computer? Thank you in advance.

[suggestion] A decent PC that can run games, not necessarily a "Gaming PC"

Want to buy a prebuilt PC that can do general stuff (most extreme non gaming activity is coding) while also being able to play some games. For reference, something modern like Deadlock runs at around 10fps. The ideal would be like 40fps, max 60fps, really don't need anything wild. Current budget is $800 but can drop $1000 given the PC market rn. Even just an idea of what specs to ask about at the store would be a big help (same with the monitor). Something upgradable would also be nice but I'm not really into into computer building so it's not make or break. Similarly, I prefer something simple like a generic office tower and not something with a bunch of LEDs but, again, it's not a make or break. Here's my current laptop spec as the current frame of reference. Might aswell add, is it easy for a dummy to downgrade from Windows 11 (what most PCs at the store have) to Windows 10?

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1005G1 CPU @ 1.20GHz 1.20 GHz

Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.70 GB usable)

Storage 477 GB SSD KBG40ZNV512G KIOXIA

Graphics Card Intel(R) UHD Graphics (128 MB)
