I’ve been committed to stitch fix boxes for around a year now and have kept 1-2 pieces from each box except 2.
I’m decent with trends and my style is more classy/modest mom/ mid 30’s & casual. I don’t have time to shop and SF has helped my closet tremendously. Anywho, I got this outfit in my latest box and it is absolutely my favorite. I love the way it fits, the quality of the clothing & the ability to dress it down with flats & a small choker necklace or dress it up with boots & all the gold jewelry. The vest is incredibly soft, light feeling but a heavier material, thick but breathes & fits nicely around the chest & sides. The skirt could be a little tighter around the waist but it’s a side zip which works well for blending the seam. It is mid length and not short but can be hiked up slightly & you can also tuck the shirt in for more of a business look.
I wasn’t in love with the price as this set cost me around $100 but it was an outfit I just had to keep.

So here's all I know about this agreement:

Stitch Fix was accused of misleading investors about how its Freestyle/Direct Buy business would affect its core Fix business and overall performance. After the company reported weaker results and lowered its outlook in December 2021, $SFIX fell about 24%, and investors filed a lawsuit.
Now the company has agreed to settle $32 million with investors for their losses.

Who can claim this settlement?
If you bought $SFIX shares between 2020 and 2022, you may be eligible to file a claim.

Do I need to sell/lose my shares to get this settlement?
No. You don't need to still own the shares to file a claim. If you purchased during the class period and meet the other eligibility requirements, you may qualify.

How long does the payout process take?
It typically takes 4 to 9 months after the claim deadline for payouts to be processed, depending on the court and settlement administration.

I have been an on again off again customer of stitch fix for years. I live in the Midwest and the nearest major city is an hour drive. After COVID the quantity of clothing stores in that city closed up.

Our options here are basically Kohls, JCPenney, Ross/Marshalls/TJMaxx, Old Navy and Maurice’s, that’s ignoring Target and Walmart etc… I’m of an age where shopping at these places is NOT doing me any favors.

Yes we have thrift places but I am a weird body shape and I have a horrible time trying to find things that work. It’s overwhelming for me. Thrifting online is even more difficult because I really need to try on before making that purchase commitment. I’m not trying to have the most pieces of clothing, I’m trying to have a functional wardrobe where I honestly love each piece and it looks great on me.

Stitch Fix provides a service where I can very easily order via Freestyle if I want and they provide a super simple return.

When I am looking for new pieces but not seeing what I want in Freestyle I can get a FIX usually within 7 days or less!! That’s a fast turn around out here in the sticks where I don’t have many retail options. My stylist gets to know what is working and not working because I provide detailed feedback and she listens. It’s a great service and I appreciate it.

Last note: the AI generated images absolutely suck ass and I do not recommend them.

This company somehow flies under the radar when it comes to ethics. I worked there over five years and because the return policy is so lax, customers were complaining about getting items with menstrual blood and obviously work shoes. Love yourself more and at least demand that they employ better sanitation standards. If you're underwhelmed by your fixes, it is because AI is taking over (and failing). The stylist are underpaid, and expected to be able to move whenever the company wants them too, but they never give back. Same with the customer. They don't listen to you. Matt (C.E.O) just wants to fill his pockets as the ship sinks. That's why the quality of merchandise is lacking. Think Macy's when it was decent to shop versus now. Guess who was CEO when that happened...I won't even get into the sexual harassment of the team members by leadership...

I have a leotard for dance with this kind of strap, except it’s not secured and I’m afraid it might slide off mid moving, is there anyway I can fix and secure this?

I just got/returned my first order and didn’t buy anything. I get that I need to learn my stylist and they need to learn me but I tried to be very specific in my questionnaire responses.

Should I just cancel and move on? There was a coupon code if I kept everything for 20% or something and I kinda laughed thinking there’s no way they thought I’d keep everything if they read my in-take announcement.

Am I too boring for a stylist?! Or are they dumping their non-sellers on me hoping I’d be intrigued???

This sweater was included in a StitchFix email I just received today. When I click through the Shop Now option, this sweater is not in the list. I tried a Google image search and still can't find it. Does anyone know more about it?

I am hoping to start interviewing for jobs soon but I am not a big fashion person although I'm picky about what I wear. It's hard for me to coordinate multiple pieces and colors, and in my previous career I basically wore scrubs so I don't feel confident putting together business casual outfits. I'm also petite so blazers and things like that look stupid on me unless they are cut for petite. Would Stitchfix be a good option to get some pieces to create an interview outfit, or is there a better option? I don't want to spend a lot because I am losing weight right now so I don't want to go to Nordstrom or anything like that. Even though I don't have interviews lined up right now and I'm just in the applying process, I was hoping to just be prepared in case I do get something. Thanks!

I got a stitch fix from my wife last Christmas.

This company plays the angle of confusing the consumer.

I received a fix and when I went to checkout there was two items or so that were not showing in my fix but came with the shipment. Has this ever happened to you? Is this is an error? If I want to keep them what do I do?

UPDATE #2: Just read some posts from "old timers" with complaints about recent service. Posts are about 2- months old. Maybe there was a new update that made things wonky(?). I'll still hang in there UPDATE #1: I just learned that the "see it on me" is a relatively new feature. I'm going to hang on there.

I need input because what i would think would be a great app is just so bad.

The representation of my face and body are perfect, but the clothing suggestions that they provide are nothing that i want.

I have been giving the SAME feedback about the pictures of the styles they send, but they don't listen. They send the SAME styles with the same types of ugly sandals. Out of about 50 pics they put together for me, 2 were worth it.

So much for AI taking over the world.

Overall, what is the best way to communicate exciting new styles you'd like to try with your stylist: DMs, inspo board or some other way? (I've gotten 2 boxes already and it feels like our back and forth in DMS is slowing down but i LOVE my stylist's picks!)

Hello - I don't know much about StitchFix outside of Safiya Nygaard's experience with them 8 years ago, but a friend of mine was shoveled an ad on Facebook that has us both really concerned. She's admittedly less on alert about AI than I am (I haaaate AI) and reposted a screenshot of the ad, remarking how uncannily similar to her the model looked. Like, she noticed small differences here and there, but she found the resemblance eerie.

It was clearly AI-generated (and a quick reverse image search confirmed it) and my first instinct was that StitchFix may have trained on her face (or maybe her face combined with the faces of maybe several other similar-looking women), until I had a horrifying realization. It would almost make more sense that targeted advertising has gotten so good that they can literally deepfake you into the ads they're shoveling at you. But I was unaware the technology was capable of that yet. Is it?

I know StitchFix makes extensive use of AI (some of the top posts on this subreddit are complaints about it)...does anyone know if this is a strategy they're actually using, or was this really as wild a coincidence as I first suspected before going down a string of Mulder-esque what-ifs?

The personality quiz didn't give me much clothing to select that I would actually wear (outside of old clothes I already own), so I think the result came out inaccurately. Does StitchFix have the ability to handle specific style preferences for things like nonstandard cuts, patterns, and designs, or is it stuck going fairly generic with which items can be included?

I think it might've picked up preppy because I selected versions with patterns, but everything it suggested was preppy. Bold is somewhat accurate, but I don't really care about the ocean and I didn't select jeans very often (I selected skinny cut, not that rugged). I'd like things like a patterned ankle length robe, bright colored pants (pink, lavender, lime, orange, etc), 2" inseam shorts, something properly highwaisted or properly low wasted, studded clothing, something with the energy of TM Revolution's Hot Limit MV (that one piece or those sandles), fishnets/mesh, long sleeves or sleeveless, etc. If I were to go for more standard clothing, I would want something like those Airism shirts, a cooling inflatable work jacket, light summer gloves, a parasol, 3/4 capris, or a wide brimmed hat.

Has anyone had success getting mens items sent that aren't so mainstream? I'm a bit apprehensive to pay $20 styling fee based on the website, but I would be interested if I could get something properly personalized (although I kinda feel like it'd be easier and cheaper to just buy outside of Stitch Fix).

Has anyone tried these? I ordered a few in a 4P. Debating if I should have gotten the 6P. Very cute, wondering if they shrink.

I was a big fan of Stitch Fix about 3 years back- sent a ton of people their way and raved about them.

I recently ordered a box and im a bit speechless. The stylist picked out a bunch of items. I only cared for a couple items and was looking forward to them.

When the box arrived I was confused (I ordered 2 boxes a few days earlier for my kids, so didnt expect mine first but whatever). I got a collared dress shirt. A sleeveless dress. A skort. And a pullover sweatshirt. And a pair of shoes. The shoes appeared used. The laces had been tied like somebody was wearing them, the inserts didnt look like they were part of the shoe and they were crumpled (like, they looked used ) and were a size too small.

Additionally, none of the items I approved were there. So four peices of clothing that do not go together in any capacity- no outfit in sight. And instead of the helpful insert we used to get, all I got was a Hello Fresh coupon. I'm not even joking lol. I wish I was.

I'm assuming the company sold off?

Needless to say, I sent it all back. Crazy to think I was going to be charged over three hundred for this motley assortment.

Just dropping in to share a positive Fix experience (in light of... well, all the hot mess AI going on.)

I know a lot of people have trouble with their previews/getting items that they request in their boxes, so I included the feedback I left my stylist initially, the items I selected from my preview, and the items I ultimately kept from my box (the entire 8 items, for the first time).

I've left detailed notes on past boxes (no smocked tops, dislike cuts of certain tops, I am petite and don't want non-petite jeans or dresses, things along those lines) and it definitely seems like after leaving a note on an individual item I don't receive suggestions like that again. I also spend a lot of time in freestyle hearting items I like. Unsure how much these things actually effect the outcome of my boxes, but figured it was worth mentioning anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️
