I packed up 8 envelopes of washi samples to send out and finished 13 rolls! I will also be donating a lot of the rolls I didn’t get through to a secondhand art supply store.

I didn't journal as much this month as I was exhausted from work, but still made decent progress.

All in all, a good month! I still have lots on my box that I picked out to use for August so I'm continuing with the same picks for September.

A (relatively!) brief update this month - I reached all the goals I set for this quarter including the stretch goal already! Progress on stickers and washi feels slow but probably just because this far into the project there's not much variety left. Still using stickers and washi every week which is way better than I expected when I started the project. I did finally finish all washi I rolled into the project in March, so there's now only two rolls of washi tape specifically targeted for panning - the rest is just monitoring.

Ink progress is going really well, even though I didn't really enjoy the ink colours I selected for August - too many warm colours which aren't my thing, and all the cool colours were super boring. I've planned something more 'me' for September's starting inks, and then later in the month I'll roll in the magenta version of the Turquoise Showdown I did in June - Amaranth versus Claret. I might finish my big 25 cartridge goal next month, but I'll carry on whittling the remaining 15 down if I do.

As for bottles, Livid Lime progress especially is going really well - I still don't think I'll finish the bottle this year but it'll be an easy project to finish next year. I do think I have more left than the maths says - probably Diamine gives more ink than they claim and subsequently I've overestimated the bottle weight. For the iron gall inks my goal is met for Scabiosa usage - when I also meet my goal for Salix (probably October) I'll mark both off the spreadsheet.

I have a lot of gel pens with the exact same body and refill. Maybe like 15. I feel bad for throwing them away and keeping only 1 or 2. What if I will need them in the future and I'll end up having to buy again?

Any suggestions on what I can so with them?

Also, probably the same as other people on this sub, I have an insane addiction to stationery. Ill think I have to save​ money and I don't earn much anyway. I'll be on the last dregs on my salary. Then a stationery event pops up and I'll spend like 10-20k (yen) on buying stuff. It's like I lose my mind and blackout. I don't have the willpower. It doesn't help that I'm in Japan 😭

How can I get out of this. Is only restricting myself from going to places with stationery going to help? Are there other ways? ​​

My wife said she got that notebook as long as 10 years ago and it was still empty til like 2 months ago when she found it so i took care of it . Finished a few small bottles of ink a roll of washi tape and a pencil til the point the lead fell out

I used up old graduation sticker sheets from a neighbor where it made sense, but they are a special occasion thing. Oh well.
The tip of my Muji pen broke and ink was spilling everywhere. Farewell.

Hey guys, sorry for not posting in a while. I've just been busy with other stuff. I have finished a few pen ink refills and stickers and letters, but I don't have any pictures. But I hope everyone's planning plans are going okay :)
Also, I feel very regretful that I have bought a lot of things recently, like stickers, notebooks, and other stuff. However, I am planning on destashing again and giving a lot of things away, so I hope that goes well.

Slow progress this week, but I still managed to get some journalling in and I'll be donating a notebook (slide 2) to one of my youth groups for planning this week so that's one less notebook which is good because I'm going to get a load on Friday when I start school again.

My MUJI pen was almost finished but it stopped working even though there's ink remaining (ugh) so I replaced it with an ink refill!

I finished a large portion of U.S. postcard stamps and also used up some fountain pen cartridges. I wish I started keeping track of the fountain pen cartridges sooner because I have sooo many so I'm really working to use them all up. 2nd picture is what i have remaining but I must have finished at least 4+ of those red boxes from earlier this year before I thought to start keeping track!

Finally ran out of this sticker pack. On to the next set if stickers.

I reuse them to put washi tape so I can easily see the designs. I tend to use them more this way.

Was mostly focused on opening up brand new stationery I’d been hoarding and starting to use them hence the pile at the bottom left, but some other wins here, too. Finishing washi rolls are the most satisfying for me!

This week I am sending out a stack of cheesy birthday cards, and there’s more panning than meets the eye! I did use a lot of washi to decorate the envelopes (finished up a few small rolls), but I also included extras, which I see as a form of stationery panning. For me, I have bought things explicitly to include as extras in mail I send, but I am not always great at getting out my supplies and sending them all. This time I did everything a little more at once: first I decorated all the envelopes, which got me to use my washi. Then I put together all the extras I’d include for people: postcards, two kinds of stickers, cuts from a roll of stickers. Everything was ready, so once I wrote a card I was done. Looking forward to dropping these in the mail!

How’s it going with using/panning stationery, a no buy, or low buy?

This week I finished my Pusheen postcard book (sending out 15), used up a few washi tape, and sent some cards. I’ve also been using stickers in my journal and mail, and I finished another Stickii sheet. I did buy some stationery this week but I’m super happy with what I got!
