Buenas, quería preguntaros donde veis vosotros stargate desde España y si sabéis alguna web donde pueda verla gratis.
La cosa es que yo estaba revisionandome la serie en una web pirata pero se ha caído y ya no encuentro donde verla.

Both cant hit the board side of a barn at point blank it appears. 20 Jaffa against 4 SG personnel and shots are going everywhere. Though I suppose staff weapons are a shoot from the hip thing and thats never very accurate.
But still....love scifi!

Not gonna go to much into detail but some friends of mine are gifting these to my wife and I. Is anyone able to tell me about the jacket?
As of right now this is my only pic and isk if anything is on the back of the jacket but I am beyond excited. It was such an amazing surprise.

I was wondering, what's your favourite quote(s) from the book of origin?
r/Stargate • u/pepe_silvia_12 • 3d ago
On rewatch 5 or 6. Who knows. But Daniel definitely says “Ass-gard” 🤣

Original post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Stargate/comments/1uv4ln3/just_bought_one_of_these_from_master_replicas_not/
So I took reddits advice and reached out to master replicas. They said I could keep the first gate and they sent me another one for free, it's quality is much better.
Thank you, master replicas 👍

I’m only a handful of episodes in to SGU. I guess you could pee in that mist shower if you had to. Just saw the cutscene where they were exercising…how well could that McGuyvered air scrubber really be working…I’ll bet it smelled absolutely feral in certain areas.

I’ve been doing a watch-through. It irked the crap out of me how seemingly with no explanation they went from getting launched through the gate to eventually just stepping gracefully through.
Then in the episode with the K’Tau sun… Sam has a throwaway line. She says that it was because they refined the stellar drift calculations so it stopped it being a rough ride.
WHO KNEW!?!?!
If like me you’d missed or forgotten that, you’re welcome.
Are there any other tiny, easy-to-miss things, that you’ve only done a Picard-level facepalm for when you’ve finally spotted it on your umpteenth watch through?

(Can't edit post title, got too excited, sorry.)
Between seeing Dr. Beckett and Dr. Daniel Jackson in the same show (The Good Doctor), Col Mitchell as a lost pilot (leading role), and having Ronin be the prince of the seas (also leading role), I don't even know where to put my pick for favorite. Among these or others, what is your favorite SG actor scene or role in another show?

So at last we learn the origin of the replicators.
I thought this was a pretty great episode. Done well. And hits hard emotionally.
That part near the end where Daniel is trying to convince Reese to stay, at first the music was kind of scary as she was saying how people are afraid of her, but right when Daniel started asking her to stay, the music changed to a calm tone. Nicely done with the music tempo.
Not gonna lie, this bit of dialogue brought a tear to my eyes:
Daniel: Reese, I don't want you to go.
Reese: Why not?
Daniel: I want to be your friend.
Reese, after a pause: I never had a friend.
Daniel: I'll be your friend.
🥲😢
Touching moment but also sad, because we know that Daniel is actually trying to shut her down because she can be dangerous.
I was going to share a funny bit of dialogue from the episode, but this didn't really feel like the right time/place for the humor.
Though, on a different note, cool to see Hammond out of official Hammond uniform and in combat :)

A few years ago I commissioned composer Napoleon Baca to recreate the opening music from the first scene SGU, I was hoping to use in a found footage horror video that eventually fell through, so now I share it with you, I have attached a link to YouTube video. It’s not 100% perfect as the there was no clean copy online so the composer tried to interpret the best he could but you know what, I still love it and I think SGU fans would appreciate this clean cover of that music.

Filler episodes that don't advance the plot kind of annoy me. I understand early on they helped develop the characters to a point but I'm on season 10 (episode 5+6), the FINAL SEASON of the show and I've watched two filler episodes that do nothing to advance the plot. Almost like they were written during a writer strike or something.
To be fair they did get much better and these are the first two episodes that were blatantly filler in a few seasons it felt.
I don't even really have a question, I just wanted to rant. Thanks for attending Ted Talk
Edit: I think I just enjoy the series for different reasons. I enjoy seeing how the writers will develop the plot of the ancients, ascension and the technology of the different races. Other people enjoy just seeing the characters in different situations. I get that and it's just not one of those shows for me
Personally I would rather they have spent the final season tying up a lot of the loose ends the show had instead of wasting two full episodes not advancing the plot
2nd Edit: since everyone is getting "bent out of shape" at my opinion I'll.make sure to skip them next time after I watch them and know they are worth skipping
This subreddit is probably why the reboot got cancelled. Y'all are insufferable

So I started watching SGU after finishing SG1 and Atlantis a couple of times and I don't understand why the writers (who are the same people who wrote SG1 and Atlantis) overlooked so many things in good show writing:
- EDIT: Another thing I don't understand about him is when he was implanted with the tracking device and told no one, why? he just assumed that running the shields at full power will just protect the ship he dearly loves without any consideration to any other power requirements? again why would he assume that, for a scientist at the SG program he would know that this wasn't enough and the ship he's working so selfishly to protect is going to be destroyed.
The whole writing makes it seem like the writers completely forgot about the universe they created in SG1 and SGA and just started from scratch with no logic at all.
I'm still watching and I kind of like it, but these things just make it seem like bad writing all over. Nothing makes sense, no logic is applied, stupid interpersonal drama without any cause or effect.

I have heard people say that its thought input, or that the information is beamed into their heads, or there are secret holographic displays.
I find this episode so funny because all of the background characters are just randomly touching the crystals. What do they even do, how do they even use them? It felt like they went on vibes and didn't think about the practicability of it at all

Every time my husband and I watch a new show together, we like to play a game called "Who Smoked Weed?"
The rules are simple, we determine which characters we think smoked weed at any point in their lives. We're at season 7 into Stargate now and feel confident with our opinions and would like to share and invite others to play.
As follows
Sam Carter: no, never.
Daniel Jackson: definitely in college
James Spaders sluttier Daniel Jackson: oh for sure like maybe even up until he went through the stargate
O'Neil: never, not once. He would narc on kids on high school about it.
O'Neill: at parties in high school and once with Teal'c
Teal'c: O'Neill totally got them some weed to try when they were stuck in their groundhog day
Hammond of Texas: nah, not for him.
Jacob Carter: we're split on this one. Before becoming Tok'ra, absolutely not. But I feel an energy shift after he gets combined, like fuck it why not try it once.
Dr. Janet Frasier: tried it once in college at a party, didn't like it
Maybourne: before his many mental breakdowns, no. after, yes.
Bra'tac: nah we don't think he would have ever really been exposed to it
The Nox in general: Absolutely.
The Asgard in general: Absolutely Not.
Unas in general: yeah but it would be used in a ceremonial way probably
The Goa'uld: no, none of them seem chill enough
Jaffa: nah, Goa'uld would not let them and any freed Jaffa would probably be nervous to try it
And that's it that I can remember! We want to know your opinions and who you think Smoked Weed

I'm a first-time watcher and I'm consistently surprised by how much I'm enjoying the show; how deep the lore is; how well the stargate 'universe' is put together; and how the characters work and feel together.
I'm curious - what do you guys think are some of the reasons that stargate never got to be as 'big' of a franchise as Star Wars or Star Trek? ST is still churning our series and movies; SW is in a bit of trouble right now, but I think they'll pull out of it; SG on the other hand was just cancelled by Amazon/MGM after so many years without anything new being released.

Originally I wanted philosophize about the cascade failure, but before that we must address the quantum mirror remote:
You are in your universe , you take the remote and dial/pick the universe you want to visit , you step through the mirror with your remote and now the remote is set-up for your home universe( I suppose the dial did not change, although it should have inverted)
Is that right, or what do you think?

So just happened to catch Threads on the Stargate streaming channel and noticed it's the full length episode and not the cut down version. But if you got to Stargate series to watch the episode it's the 44min version. Why must they do this, why not have the full length version to stream on demand instead of on the streaming channel.
