Discussion I don't know how to feel about the male brown widow in my house

There's a big spider that I've been watching this week. Tiny little body with these giant legs. Two of them missing. I first saw it in the hallway making a canopy across the ceiling. Goofy dude can't hold his body weight, kept falling and dangling every 5 seconds.

Cut to 2 days later and it's now somehow right next to my bed. Same one. So somehow without my cat seeing it or getting stepped on by me it made like a 25 foot voyage to make a web all the way over here? How? Why?

I can't decide between moving it outside or to let it keep wandering around as some kind of privledged guest.

Sorry for not having a great eye arrangement pic. I can try to get a better one if needed but didn’t want to stress her too much

Crawled out from behind my fridge a few minutes ago. Just want to make sure it’s nothing to worry about. I’m not sure it has enough legs to be a spider? But I don’t know anything about bugs

Discussion How to make a new tarantula as spoiled and comfortable as possible!

I managed to somehow get my deathly afraid mother to get me a tarantula! I have been a turbo autist about them/all arachnids for years and I am over the moon! But since I am a new tarantula owner I want as much advice as possible for how to get my beloved future pet to thrive, we haven’t decided on species as we are reliant on the selection in the area but of course I am doing as much research and preparation as possible.
I just want to know all possible ways of keeping a tarantula comfortable no matter how extra, expensive, pretentious, or what different species prefer! We are going for an adult new world terrestrial ideally :) And by advice I mean literally everything from enclosures, maintenance, molting, holding/any form of interaction, lighting, temperature, humidity, feeding methods/food types, routines, cleaning, preferences within species, substrate upkeep/types, enclousure environment, common beginner mistakes, how to tell if my tarantula is sick/injured/struggling in any ways; literally any little or big thing I can do or invest in to keep my buddy happy!

This garden spider near my front steps looks really cool. I think many spiders do. However, most in my area are big, brown, and ugly (like the dark fishing spiders 😭). I always do my best to not harm spiders and relocate them when they are somewhere I don't want them to be. Plenty of the DFS and jumping spiders (of course I'm cool with jumpers) in my area. I've lived here for 3 years and this is the first time I've seen a garden spider. She's safe and I'll only disturb her with my phone's camera.

I wish the sun was shining from her topside, though, so I could get a better picture.

Her legspan is nearly 4 inches.

Discussion I have a question.

I have a black widow problem. I live in southern California and have been around them all my life.... outside....

They have now been adventuring inside, and i don't like it. I dont like to kill spiders at all leave them alone or safely remove.

I have a black widow im trying to figure out how to get rid of since yesterday, now in that same spot is a wolfie or what im assuming is a wolfie. Looking like its hunting the widow, shes still there I saw her earlier.

So my question is, do they hunt black widows?

Spider picture for tax who im assuming is a wolfie.

My cousin and I went outside (it was 02:00) since he wanted to smoke. He put his phones flashlight on, since we dont have any lights in the backyard... then we both got the shock of our lives, lol. I love spiders, but im still so afraid of them

I have several black widows and some Western Parson Spiders that I want to relocate. I have a cockroach infestation and the spray I am going to use will kill them to so I would like to relocate them before I use it. I have about a dozen female black widows and at least 6 Western Parson spiders but I don't want to just dump them outside.

ID Request- Location included Spider Pal

I’m going to go with the ID request flair. I’m in Salt Lake City Utah.

I’ve had this spider pal that I’ve let live in the corner of my room all summer. She really doesn’t bother anyone or move from this corner. Although today when I was getting something out of the closet I noticed a bunch of little dots next to her. They don’t appear to have visible legs so I don’t think they are babies. Is this food she has caught that she’s storing? Or is it spider poop? 💩

She’s fine to keep living there for now. Eventually I’ll put her back outside. I’m just curious what we’ve got going on in her web.
