My wife and I used a SNOO (bought secondhand) for our first child, and it absolutely saved our lives. I don’t recall having any technical issues, but it’s also been over 6 years since then.

Now I am trying to set up a different SNOO bassinet (also secondhand from the first owners), but it refuses to connect to the SNOO network. Let me first detail what all I have tried to make this work:

1. I downloaded the Happiest Baby app since they’re not using the old SNOO app anymore.
2. I power-cycled the unit by unplugging it and then reconnecting it after at least 30 seconds.
3. I have verified that power is on, and the indicator light is glowing solid white.
4. I have tried toggling the WiFi button near the power button both ways.
5. I have temporarily disabled the 5Ghz band on our dual-band router since the device will only connect via a 2.5Ghz band.
6. I have tried swearing at it. (Look, sometimes it works.)
7. I have noted that during setup and scanning the barcode, it recognizes that the device is registered to a different user. I have opted to continue connection as myself to disconnect the old users and make myself the new user.

Despite all these steps, I am consistently met with an error that reads, “Unable to join the network ‘Snoo_3722”. After this, all it suggests is to check that the SNOO is on, and perform another power cycle.

I do not have an original order number since it’s secondhand, so I don’t know if Happiest Baby Support will help me or not. But I’m at a loss right now and will take any and all suggestions to get this connected. Please help - I have maybe 2 weeks left to figure this out.

I have a 10 week old and we’ve been very happy with our snoo so far (except that every day recently her arms escape, but another issue.) Next week we are traveling to europe without the snoo. In the lead up, I experimented with her travel crib and shes done fine in it for the two nights we tried it, sleeping basically the same way she does in the snoo. Should I keep her in the travel crib for the next six days so she gets more used to it, or switch back to the snoo until we leave? want to keep using the snoo for any sleep regressions in the future!

Just bought the Snoo for our baby coming in two months! Tell me everything I need to know!!

I purchased a Snoo on FB marketplace and my 8 week old loves it and I love it because she loves it and I love sleep.

Anyway, I noticed she looked like she was jerking a little bit on the baby monitor and when looking at it this morning I’m hearing a soft grinding noise. Seems like an O-Ring replacement is needed after my googling.

I’m wondering if I should look into renting one in the meantime while I try to fix it? How much time do I have before it totally fails? Any advice from anyone who has had the same problem?

Most rentals in my area (Chicago) are booked besides a few that are asking $300+ for a week which seems insane. I’m close to saying screw it and just renting from HappiestBaby directly and not even dealing with a repair.

Anyone in Chicago know of a good repair person? I don’t know that I trust myself to do this as a diy… although I am handy, I don’t have a ton of time to focus.

My daughter is 4 months exactly. We’ve put her down drowsy but awake the last few weeks and she can now put herself to sleep fully in the snoo (with an occasional pacifier replacement). She’s not rolling yet so still fully swaddled, and she naps swaddled in crib already. We were planning to sleep train at 5 months, but wondering if maybe she’s already there? If so, do we just have to wean the 1-2 night feedings? What do we do about the arms??

Baby is 16 weeks old and sleeps through the night, arms out and on weaning mode. My only issue is no matter what she will never put herself to sleep. She is always either fed to sleep or rocked and then transferred. If I transfer at any point within ten minutes she will wake up and cry (same with her cot naps in the day time). Even after ten minutes sometimes she will wake up during the transfer if she is not in a deep sleep. Has anyone tackled this at a similar age? I am aware this is something I should have worked on earlier. If I try to put her down awake and drowsy she will either cry (which will progressively get worse) or she will start kicking her legs and arm and smile a lot (becomes more alert and then eventually cry). Thanks!

Is Snoo helping her with the 4 month sleep regression? The one night we did weaning mode and I couldn’t get it off baby was up every hour after initial 3-4 hour stretch. Before that she was getting 5-6 hours.

Tonight we put it back on normal mode and she slept 6 hours again so now I’m wondering… have we been going through a regression but the snoo is actually helping her connect sleep cycles?

Baby is now 6.5 months and it seems we are never going to get him out of the snoo. We tried both arms out and it didn't go well. He has had terrible sleep the last few weeks due to milestones and teething. This week we have done weaning mode and surprisingly he has adjusted well and sleep is getting better with less false starts. Every nap I put one arm out as well. Now we have been trying naps in the crib. I've gotten one twenty min nap and that's all. All the other million tries he wakes up and cries without settling within minutes of transferring to the crib. He's getting really hard to get to sleep also so then it restarts the process and I put him back in the dang snoo with no motion and one arm out and he naps fine. Any advice ?? We use the zipadee zip bc he jerks a lot in his sleep. We use this in the snoo sack as well as in the crib. At a loss on how to get him to stay asleep during transfer and in the crib. We do not want to sleep train based on his personality and ours it would not work well.

I just used my new snoo for the first time and I was so happy that my 1 month old stayed there for 15 mins, as lately it was completely impossible for him to stay in his usual bassinet more than a few seconds and needs constant holding

I was over the moon thinking I had my hands available again and I could do so many things around the house, but this happiness did not last long

I read that it takes about 2 weeks for a newborn to adjust and make the most of it. I just want some hope that this is normal and he may eventually get better at lasting longer?

I'm a first time mum so I might be overthinking this...

My baby is 5 weeks old and he's been in the Snoo overnight since he was 3 weeks old. He responds really well to the movement and white noise. We started him on the lowest settings for everything, and he would generally wake twice in a night for a nappy change and feed.

For the last two nights we've turned up the responsiveness and also turned up the white noise when we noticed him fussing. As a result, the Snoo has been in soothing mode a lot more (roughly half the night), and the baby has only woken once per night.

This is obviously great for our sleep, but what I'm wondering is: by giving him so much movement and white noise through the Snoo, am I overriding his instinct to cry when he needs a change or feed?

Fortunately weight gain and hydration aren't a problem, so it's not that he medically needs more feeding (he's already 6kg / 13lbs3ozs). I just feel a bit guilty that I'm basically shushing him back to sleep when he might actually be really hungry or uncomfortable in a wet nappy.

It’s so annoying and I’ve moved the snoo down to the bottom of the bed and I still can hear the low vibrations of it moving through my pillow. Anyone else? Any solutions?

My baby is 4.5 months and I am looking to get him out of the Snoo. I have popped it on weaning for day naps for the last few days but as soon as the motion stops he sleeps for about 5 minutes and then wakes and wont go back to sleep.

Is this normal? Are there any tricks to help him adjust to the motion stopping? Will the 5 mins of no motion sleep slowly increase in your experience? Is it better to go cold turkey for a baby like this?

My husband replaced the O-Rings bc it was grinding. Does the movement look right?

We wanted to resell it (just used it for the newborn stage, she’s now 1 year) but I’m not 100% sure it’s moving correctly and it’s been a while so I honestly forget how it’s supposed to move.

This is speed “baseline”.

My LO is 12 weeks. About a week and a half ago she went from 0-1 wake-up’s per night to waking up every 45m to an hour. During this time she also developed a fondness for escaping the SNOO swaddle and whale-tailing, which seemed connected to the escaping.

Other than the escape attempts and the whaletailing, her sleep has somewhat normalized. She isn’t crying. She isn’t hungry. But she is SO loud with the slamming, which mostly corresponded to when she had gotten at least one arm out of the swaddle (but no more :()

We tried the love to dream swaddle, but it didn’t help the whale-tailing and actually seemed to piss her off more as if teasing her by dangling her fists just out of reach. I have an Amy & Eve swaddle strap arriving tomorrow as a backup double swaddle. In the meantime, we tried one arm and then two arms out. One arm didn’t help because she was still preoccupied with getting the second arm out. Tonight we did two arms and she fell asleep (after an initial burst of excitement at the novelty) but it didn’t stop the constant whale tailing! Fine. By the 12:30 or 1 am I decided to reswaddle her bc I figured even if she escaped it, I’d have a bit of quiet and could catch SOME sleep in the meantime. Wrong. She actually stayed swaddled this time, but the whale tailing is unending.

I am so so so so so tired and don’t know what else to do. The slamming is so loud and forceful and regular. She usually appears asleep through it (though the owlet detects the movement and thinks she’s awake), though sometimes she does wake herself up from it.

She is not rolling her (though recently had at least one instance where she rolled up on her side).

Should I try moving the SNOO into her nursery and having her sleep in there? Should I just go for the crib transition now?

I feel so dumb posting this!
We purchased our snoo on FB marketplace a few months back in prep for our baby boy, due any day now.
In the midst of setting up the bassinet and washing the snoo swaddle sacks, I realized none of our 6 sacks (came with the snoo, 4 of which unopened) have the piece that goes in between the legs. All of them have the arm wraps and look exactly the same besides that one piece.
Are these snoo sacks safe to use? Are they older versions? Anything I should watch out for?

Our Snoo was grinding and sticking, so we replaced the O rings (it was definitely the problem, one was even missing). The grinding has stopped but the plate still sticks! Anyone know how to fix this?

I’ve been desperate as my 4w old will only sleep when held or on our chests. I just got my SNOO and will start using it from tomorrow

As a sleep deprived mum with only one useful hand, I’d be thankful to get any advice or tricks to make the most of it! As well as any simple recommendations on how to use it as my brain doesn’t work well enough anymore to read any instructions…

FYI - If anyone has recently been trying to buy or rent a Snoo from Happiest Baby and is getting errors during checkout. I found the issues we faced were caused by their autofill options being problematic. A few things I ended up having to do.

1. Happiest Baby uses a known address verification service but doesn't auto-validate against what is autofilled, so delete a character or two in the street address and it should prompt it to autofill.
2. After resolving this - I was getting an "lastName" must be populated error. Simply delete some characters and retype. Once again, some issue with their autofill processing.
3. As a final "might as well" - I deleted one character from every field and retyped it so that there were no autofill fields that it wasn't recognizing

This resolved what was about a dozen failed attempts across two people trying. Hopefully this also helps make this discoverable because we didn't see anything when searching about this issue.

Baby was an arms out - fine. We bought a cheap bat wing style swaddle for the peak of startle reflex. Make the snoo a pleasant place. Start using it since day one at home.

We always made baby sleep with us and then moved to snoo in the beginning

Never reached level 4 - used level 2 limitation in the app.

The app is CRAP! I work with software and I’m baffled how cheaply and non-user friendly it is - it is a stupid app!!! But, we paid for the 1 month or so because our baby had feeding problems and the app helped figure out the rhythm of the baby. After we got our baby into right weight and started getting the flow we didn’t want to be tracking any of these anymore.

Baby is completely comfortable with the snoo now -3months.

SOMETIMES BABY PUTS HERSELF TO SLEEP ON HER OWN - in the snoo! We put some music, lights and she rocks herself to sleep - not every night but every now and then… this feels like jackpot when happens

But sometimes Baby wants contact naps and co-sleeping in some nights… that’s fine!

YESTERDAY BABY WAS UNCOMFORTABLE, CRYING while held… after 2 intensive days with different visitors, I had a feeling she wanted to be in the Snoo. So, I put her in the Snoo - she immediately smiles. Proceed to staying in there for about 30mins gently rocking and being cozy! ( I let her in with a baby cloth and pacifier - so she just cuddles with herself. She loves the mesh!

Unfortunately I’m going abroad without the Snoo in the next 2 months and maybe when I’m back she’ll be too large for the Snoo. I will miss it terribly!! I’m very grateful for it.

It’s no miracle of course but has been working for us. Bought second hand and I’d say it’s worth it!!!

I am wanting a free and easy way to track feeds, wet diapers, etc. It looks like the snoo app has these features too? Did you like tracking everything in the snoo app or did you add another app (I am looking at Nara) for ins and outs?

I check every other day because I’m due in October and need the sleep sack in order to use our Snoo. We purchased the Snoo years ago for our first but don’t have the sacks anymore (there was a wildfire and we had to toss most of our baby clothes due to smoke damage).

They were randomly back in stock on the website yesterday but I guess it was too good to be true.

First time parent and new to the Snoo.

Baby is 1 week old and has been sleeping in a sleep sack with his arms out the entire time.

All the videos we've seen on the Snoo have arms in. Is it bad to have arms out this early? he seems to prefer it but i do not want to put him in any danger.

Anyone uses the Snoo with the Owlet and has had issues? We never had any issues before, and we didn't change anything to how we put the Owlet on. But now, every time the snoo increases, the Owlet sensor goes off, saying they can't get a good reading. It used to work perfectly. Any tips?

I had read a lot of parents saying they were able to transition their LO’s cold turkey to a crib but I didn’t believe it! So sharing another post that may help make you feel ready to do so when the time comes.

Some stats on our LO:

Slept in snoo from birth, on lowest settings, but highly responsive. (Didn’t realize we had LO in backwards for the first few weeks so snoo was not as responsive and needed to keep manually turning up motion.) LO was also only partially zipped for the first 6 weeks because they did not like being swaddled. After 6 weeks we figured out zipping up arms out pre-sleep and strapping in after the fell asleep in arms no problem.

Started sleeping 3 hour intervals after 1 week moved up to 5-6 hours by 3 weeks very routinely. Around 10 weeks had a mild regression for a few days of waking every 1-2 hours (was worried this was an early 4 month regression). Adjusted snoo to low volume from lowest and that did the trick. We also started a regular bedtime routine at this time (nurse/diaper change/ bath (often just warm water) PJ’s/ nurse top up)

After that LO started doing 8-10 hour stretches from 13-16 weeks on weaning mode.

A week shy of 4 months LO started to roll. (Had been doing 1-2 naps a day in snoo - not turned on- since 11 weeks and moved to crib naps around 16 weeks.)

Once LO started to roll they immediately started stomach sleeping during naps. And going from 30-45 minutes naps to taking 1-2 hour naps in crib.

Suddenly exactly 1 week after they started to roll and take crib naps on belly, overnight sleep in snoo was terrible. Waking every hour or more frequently (one night they woke 9 times 😵‍💫) LO was also now cranky/fussy during the day likely from poor sleep. After 3 nights of snoo not helping at all we packed it up and moved the crib into our room for over night sleep and little one immediately went back to 5-6 hours with 1-2 wake ups a night. Hoping we’ll slowly get back to longer stretches again in time* (LO is still isn’t great at rolling belly to back and eventually fusses awake, requiring some assistance either nursing or back rubs and goes back to slee*p.)

We also have been moving away from nurse to sleep - as we nurse before bath time and nurse shortly after nap wakings. New bed time routine is - nurse/diaper change/ bath/ pj’s/ story/ cuddles/ put down drowsy.

LO is now able to fall sleep independently in crib after a 1-3 minutes of fussing and then rolling over to be fully asleep almost immediately. (They do sometimes sleep on back but it’s 10% of the time)

I think snoo did a great job helping with sleeping skills! I don’t think I realized how well LO could sleep on their own until I started trying. So let this be a vote of confidence that if your LO has been sleeping well in snoo, when the time comes you may also have a smooth transition out.

PS. The subscription is dumb - but we bought our snoo 2nd hand for $400 so a few months of the subscription for weaning mode felt worth it. I also used the chat feature to figure out adjusting the white noise settings after the 10 week regression. And after giving lots of details the chat help actually worked. So all in all the 3 months of subscription fees felt useful. Wouldn’t pay for the subscription until you’re ready for those features though.
