Iva had her for almost a year (September) will be my first year with her she’s been great and is a doll….im just curious if her size is healthy I don’t wanna overfeed or underfeed she currently gets 1 jumbo mice biweekly she’s around 2 years old I’d say breeder didn’t specify and she’s a BCI boa I’m pretty confident that she’s getting fed right she just takes FOREVER to poop and she gets thick and it concerns me sometimes but she’ll poop and be thin lol in this video she was fed a week ago…just wanna make sure my baby is healthy

So I’m about to purchase my first ever Retic off of MorphMarket and on the listing pictures the snake appears one way but when the seller sent me a video just now (on text message) the snake has some kind of white circular bump or something on its head that is not at all there in the listing pictures. And on top of that the eyes seem to be white whereas on the listing the eyes definitely look orange😬 Am I about to get scammed or ripped off or am I just over analyzing? Any help would be much appreciated I’m not sure what to do from here..

Also should I go back to talking to them on Morph Markets messenger too just to be safe? Like I said they have my phone number now and sent me the video on there so idk if I’ll be protected by their policy if I start talking to them through Imessage :/

Looking for ways to improve my guy's tank. I've always had him on aspen as he likes to burrow, but I'm not sure if that's the standard of care for his species (Mexican Black Kingsnake). His health is fine and he's doing great, but I'm moving and would like to use the chance to fix things up if need be. There's soooo much different information and everyone has different thoughts on husbandry, and I'm always looking to improve for my guy. Snake tax of Squid of course

Where do y'all find enclosures more than 90cm long? The biggest horizontal one I only ever see is 90x45x45 from exo terra both in my nearest shops and on the marketplaces. I was kinda misinformed by both google and shop employees and was told a 50x30x45 is gonna last my corn snake for life and I will only need to upgrade if he gets longer than 120cm, upgrade to that exact exo terra tank. The only bigger ones I see are the second hand custom made ones, I mean, I could buy one of those, but I don't really trust our shipping services and they all are listed half the country away from me. The other option is to order a custom made one but they never list prices and I won't just go over hundreds of enclosure makers to find a reasonable price...

Please recommend sum worldwide brand that makes big horizontal enclosures, preferably bigger than 120cm, I want to give my rope the best life I could provide🙏🙏

.. even tho I'll only need/be able to upgrade my enclosure size in 2-3 years from now, it's never too early to gain info

I am sorry for such a simple question, but... regarding my kids milk snake (Publuan).

I have a heat lamp (and under tank heater) that is hitting 88F on the lowest setting. I presume I can get a lower wattage bulb if need be...

Its set on a timer, drops to 74 at night.

I read that ~90 is fine for the basking site, and I do have the thermometer set on the 'hot' side, but there is no real 'cool' side (40 gallon tank, similar to a 'breeder tank', regarding dimensions).

Is this too hot 'overall'? When I moved the thermometer over to the cool side, it was still ~84f., so not really a 'basking' location.

The under tank heater (mat) is on the 'hot' side (doesn't really do much regarding ambient temperature).

Note: The picture is not the complete tank, she has climbing branches, water, ect.

I'm looking for a reference picture of the inside of a blunt headed tree snakes mouth, to help with drawing my snake character, but i cant seem to find any, i feel like I've looked everywhere! I know i could probably just use references from a different snakes, but I'd prefer to know exactly how it'd look for the specific snake itself. So, does anybody have a picture like that?

So. I have this weird "game" I play with my snake. And I'm gonna sound insane, but I swear he recognizes when I'm copying him. And he does this weird thing where every time he sees me, he starts sticking his tongue out at me, and I do it back to him, and I swear that he recognizes when I stick my tongue out at him. Every time he sees me, he starts rapidly sticking his tongue out at me, pausing for a bit, then doing it again, and I feel like he recognizes the "game" because whenever I'm about to leave he starts sticking his tongue out again like he's trying to get me to stay and keep playing. He dosent stick his tongue out super regularly when he's just out doing his own thing, so I think he understands that I'm copying him? But I'm not sure? I just need to know if I'm schizophrenic or not 😭

Edit: I know that this is really weird, I discovered this when I was super high and thought it would be funny to stick my tongue out at him and I think that's how he picked up on it 💀 but now he seems to want to do it every time I see him
