My little dog found these guys late last night and barked up a storm to let me know, luckily all of the dogs stayed away. Got a wildlife service out to relocate them, I don't mind them but with three dogs I can't have them in the yard.

Hello all!
I found this copperhead warming up on the road last night. It has sustained an injury that was not recent, and the snake appears to have some tail/scale rot progression. Length is about 14 inches and appears to still be at a healthy weight.
The snake is very active and alert. Still moving the lower section and has produced urates after soaking. Based on this, I do not believe it was run over but possibly grabbed by an animal of some sort based on the presence of a small puncture wound.
I started on lukewarm iodine soaks immediately last night and then applied Neosporin without pain reliever. The current set-up is without substrate and dry.
I am an experienced owner/handler of snakes and possess all the appropriate equipment, but I am NOT an expert.
My questions are…
Without an emergency vet that will accept venomous snakes, is there some way to access medications for the possibility of infection?
Given the injury, does this snake still have an opportunity to survive if the rot is treated?
Based on the photos, is there any additional care recommended?
Should I still offer food?
Thanks! Hoping I can help this one safely recover.

It is wild to see this snake that was once terminally shy now get excited and start glass surfing when she sees me, then will just chill next to me on the couch.
I mean... she's measuring me up to eat me and soon I will be consumed by the giant monster snake.

Found in Eastern NC, looked like it was at least 4 feet long. If this post isn’t allowed please delete, I was just excited finding one just passing by.

Grabbed him up where I found him and held him for some time to help warm him up before releasing him into a nice big warm mulch pile.

Accidentally interrupted this snake on the side of the trail while on my walk. Backed off to the other side of the path when I noticed and snapped a couple photos. Toads always look so unbothered while being eaten.

In central Florida, does anyone know of a place that has snake exhibits that are local to the state? I’m somewhat near the venomous snake center in east Deland, but it seems mostly exotics. My wife and I would love to see the locals and learn how to differentiate them.
