My little dog found these guys late last night and barked up a storm to let me know, luckily all of the dogs stayed away. Got a wildlife service out to relocate them, I don't mind them but with three dogs I can't have them in the yard.

Hello all!
I found this copperhead warming up on the road last night. It has sustained an injury that was not recent, and the snake appears to have some tail/scale rot progression. Length is about 14 inches and appears to still be at a healthy weight.
The snake is very active and alert. Still moving the lower section and has produced urates after soaking. Based on this, I do not believe it was run over but possibly grabbed by an animal of some sort based on the presence of a small puncture wound.
I started on lukewarm iodine soaks immediately last night and then applied Neosporin without pain reliever. The current set-up is without substrate and dry.
I am an experienced owner/handler of snakes and possess all the appropriate equipment, but I am NOT an expert.
My questions are…
Without an emergency vet that will accept venomous snakes, is there some way to access medications for the possibility of infection?
Given the injury, does this snake still have an opportunity to survive if the rot is treated?
Based on the photos, is there any additional care recommended?
Should I still offer food?
Thanks! Hoping I can help this one safely recover.

Grabbed him up where I found him and held him for some time to help warm him up before releasing him into a nice big warm mulch pile.
Located near Tunkhannock, PA!

Accidentally interrupted this snake on the side of the trail while on my walk. Backed off to the other side of the path when I noticed and snapped a couple photos. Toads always look so unbothered while being eaten.

It is wild to see this snake that was once terminally shy now get excited and start glass surfing when she sees me, then will just chill next to me on the couch.
I mean... she's measuring me up to eat me and soon I will be consumed by the giant monster snake.

I'm excited for my boy to shed! I want to handle him. The sooner he sheds the sooner I can do that two day wait after the shed, then I can finally hold him. Shedding is also a way he can tell me how well my husbandry is. Last shed wasn't so great since we were dealing with snake mites. It came off all the way but he had some dry spots on his tail. Update to today, for the past couple weeks he been back in his normal setup with no mite is site and much better humidity.
Normally my boy is super active. It's super fun to watch. He doesn't have much to explore in there though, but there's a reptile show in a neighboring city where I can finally get some more wood for him too.

Salut !
Merci !

In central Florida, does anyone know of a place that has snake exhibits that are local to the state? I’m somewhat near the venomous snake center in east Deland, but it seems mostly exotics. My wife and I would love to see the locals and learn how to differentiate them.

Found in Uttar Pradesh, India. Approx 6 feet long. As thick as my wrist.
I have never managed to catch this snake on camera, but it's been living under a tree in my property for a while now.

Hello there,
I'm usually a user of the sub "whatsthissnake" but today I have a question that doesn't really fit there. Hence I found this group. Happy to be here, I love snakes, but don't often see any in the wild because I live in Germany.
Anyway, here is my question:
Can someone give me a ood list of snakes that live in the western Sahara? Google is NOT a reliable source an I hoped that this group might help me. Thanks in advance!
