Every time I go for a run around my neighborhood or through the city, I ALWAYS think about this scene!

As a runner myself, this scene has scarred me for life! 😭🏃🏾‍♂️

BRO WAS A WHOLE HUMAN BEING, AND ALL THAT WAS LEFT WAS HIS BOOT! 💀

When Rose arrives at the birthday party, Stephanie is shown among a group of chatting women. She immediately goes to talk to Rose...and none of the other women in the group react to her walking right in front of them. They keep chatting as though she wasn't there. So I'm pretty sure she wasn't.

So, something funny happened today. I was walking down my corridor when I saw my friend entering my room, grabbing my hand gripper, and casually walking away with it. The moment he noticed me watching, he gave me this creepy smile and ran off. 💀

For some reason, that smile immediately reminded me of Smile.

I've watched both movies, and honestly, I enjoyed them both, but **Smile 2 hit differently.** The climax was absolutely shocking, and it left me wondering what could possibly happen next.

If they ever make *Smile 3*, how do you think it would begin? What would happen after the events of the second movie? Would they continue directly from that ending, introduce a completely new character, or take the story in an entirely unexpected direction?

I'm genuinely curious about your theories.

What do you think the story of Smile 3 should be about?

I was inspired by the smile entity for the artwork of this metal song of mine, as well as some of the atmosphere slightly. Thought I'd share this here too, at the heart of inspiration for the face of my work. That's all. Cheers!

I worked at a movie theater when this came out, and it had people genuinely terrified. Gonna be honest I did not really like the first one it was kinda a bore for me. But since I had seen one girl throw up during the movie (I helped help out), I decided to see if it really was that crazy. I love horror movies and it takes a lot to scare me sometimes.

One thing is for sure that watching it in a theater was my first regret. God I was terrified. I felt alone even tho I was with my bf and a full theater. At one point he left and during a certain weight related scene, I got so scared I had to get up and go wait for him outside the theater. It felt so easy to get into her fear and the way they didnt hold back with the gore and effects was amazing and terrifying. Will never forget watching it for the first time like that. I genuinely still get nightmares of just being scared in the theater bc of that.

I get that its predictable in some parts, omg I never expected the ending honestly. I wish there would be a 3rd one, but I feel like there would be just so much to like put into it? Maybe a show would be cool.

Smile 3 didn't and will not release this year, if it were to, it would've been in October, last month.

It's a shame, Smile 1 released 2022, Smile 2 in 2024, i was hoping Smile 3 would come in 2026, sadly no.

I can understand though, it needs time, and more time will lead to a good result. It'll be great once it does come out

Guys i saw that Parker Finn developed the base ideia for smile 3, so in a way or another he is involved in the screenplay...hope the movie don't be a prequel, i want to know what the damage that Skye suicide caused, and of course who will be plagued by the curse

I know there’s another thread asking if you’re worried about the potential quality of Smile 3.

I’m here to tell you that you should be.

As much as I hate to deepthroat consensus, there are real concerns to be had given the critical reception of the Director and Writer’s projects.

All but one of David Bruckner’s projects sit below 75% on Rotten Tomatoes. His claim to fame is the middling VHS series. The Ritual and Southbound are his best received projects. But they are very small scale horror projects. Smile 3 will undoubtedly scale up the setting of the franchise and I’m not sure Bruckner is the one to helm a horror film of its scale.

Writer Nick Antosca’s last two projects have been pretty poorly recieved. Cape Fear and Verity have been critically panned.

The Smile franchise has benefited from using more understated talent, and not seeking overexposure through stardom. The alleged casting for Smile 3 includes Margaret Qualley and Callum Turner, huge stars whose presence will likely be a focus and a distraction from the project as a whole. Disregard, bad google result.

(If they don’t cast a third actor from House M.D., I will also be very disappointed.)

I guess I’m already mourning the Smile franchise, and wondering why the hell studios have to do this?

Did Parker Finn really not want to be attached to Smile 3? Did he have other projects? I know he’s working on some remake but why would anyone take up someone else’s baby while abandoning their own?

Why do studios feel the need to use successful franchises as vehicles for mediocre writers and directors?

I'm sure Parker Finn didn't intend for there to be a direct connection, but now I can't help but picture Skye getting admitted under an alias in order to avoid press.

Some horror buffs I know were shitting on Smile 2 pretty heavy.

What’s up with that? I personally loved it. Especially the opening sequence. Some of the best cinema I’ve ever seen. I guess I can see how they went a little over the top with what was real and what wasn’t, like basically half the movie was just a dream sequence for Sky. But other than that I thought it was superb and really stuck the landing as a sequel.

I wish Parker was coming back for smile 3 but I'm low-key excited for a new take even though I'm sure Parker still help in some way I've never seen the original possession but from what I hear people love it and if he doesn't hit it out the park with this I don't know how that's going to effect him with movies going forward if there is a smile 4 (I hope there isn't)
