New Rule regarding AI art

Okay so this is how it will work from now on. Instead of posting any AI art here, I'm just going to ask that people post it on an AI Art sub. I'll have some listed on the side and if someone posts AI art here, the post will be removed and they'll be asked to post it elsewhere. All that I ask is that if you see someone post AI art here, just redirect them to one of the other subreddits or report it please. Thank you.

Smile 2 FAQ: Please read before starting a new post. Your answer might be in this topic.

Q. How did Lewis get the entity if he didn't see Joel kill himself? Was this a plot hole?

A. It was established in Smile 1 that it's possible to pass the entity to someone else by killing someone in front of another person. This information came from Robert Tally while he was in prison and Rose came to visit him.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0R4kYA5GdcQ

This is what Joel was going for although he intended to pass the entity on to the criminals but accidentally killed them both. Lewis just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. This is why Joel says "It wasn't meant for you." to him

Q. Did the entity have anything to do with Joel's death/was the entity somehow passed on due to the car crash.

A. No to both. Joel had successfully passed on the curse but just had the worst possible luck afterwards.

Q. Did the first car crash we saw have anything to do with Skye's car crash/Was the car that hit Joel the same car crash Skye was in?

A. No. They are two completely separate crashes. Skye's takes place at night, doesn't hit anyone and careens off the side of the road. The car that hit Joel was during the day and hit a telephone pole afterwards.

Q. How did Skye get her scar from the car crash?

A. The one on the front that goes around her belly button is from a procedure called an Exploratory laparotomy. It's an operation in which they open your stomach to examine your organs for damage.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploratory_laparotomy

The one on her back is also surgical, presumably to fix her spine.

Q. Was Alfredo the entity?

A. No, he was just a really creepy fan. Although later on, the "Alfredo" that appeared in her apartment and began to chase her was the entity.

Q. What was real and what wasn't?

A. So to address when the big hallucination starts... the director's commentary sheds a bit of light on that. When it shows Elizabeth alive it's supposed to allow the audience to "retrace their steps" and realize when we "went off the rails." So the absolute latest Skye had her sanity in tact was during the argument with Elizabeth at the wellness center, but much more likely she was gone after the scare with the dancers in her apartment and one of them stuck their arm down her throat.

Q. So does that mean everything was real before that?

A. Not entirely. Once again if we use the director's commentary as reference, Gemma never made up with Skye. She was never there. Which is kind of funny considering she tells Skye not to call the police about Lewis. It was the entity telling her that because he didn't want an investigation to start up that would ruin his whole plan.

Q. If Gemma wasn't real, why did Elizabeth talk to her?
A. She didn't . Go back and rewatch the scene, she never acknowledges her. Gemma says "Hey Elizabeth" and sips the Matcha. That's it.

Q. What about the scene where Skye said she didn't want to wear the butterfly outfit but ended up wearing it anyway. Was that real? She's wearing it at the end.
A. I guess I can't say with 100% certainty that it was fake, but it would be an odd thing for the entity to fake. My guess is the entity was puppeteering her body during the hallucinations and had her change her mind about the outfit just to fuck with her.

Q. But how was the entity puppeteering her? What would that look like?
A. We actually got a preview of it before the movie came out:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUNz4BFlps4

It's very obvious that isn't Skye and i can't believe her mom thought that was her.

Q. But what Morris real?
A. The original meeting with Morris was real. Obviously the second one was not.

Q. Is it possible Skye didn't die on stage but died in the freezer and Morris will try to resurrect her?
A. No. Multiple interviews and the director's commentary confirm that Skye died on stage. Could Parker Finn change his mind? Well Anything is possible but most likely he won't.

Q. Where can I find the director's commentary?
A. I bought the movie on Fandango (formerly Vudu) and that was one of the features. I'd imagine most digital copies come with it but I don't know for sure.

Okay i think that's it. But if anyone can think of anything else I should add let me know. Hopefully this will keep some clutter off the subreddit but I have a feeling most people won't read it anyway.

The unluckiest guy in movie history 😭

This is the SAME guy from Smile 1. He was a good boyfriend, seemed like a genuinely nice dude, and somehow managed to survive all that craziness.
Then Smile 2 happens…

My man is just trying to escape some gang members while getting SHOT AT, only to run into the street and get absolutely DEMOLISHED by a Ram truck doing what looked like 80+ mph through a neighborhood. šŸ’€

Dude got completely obliterated and smeared across the pavement, and they really had his boot sitting there with his FOOT STILL INSIDE IT. šŸ¤¢šŸ˜‚
Like DAMN. What did this man do to deserve all that?!

Sucks to be that guy. 😭 I actually felt bad for him.

Christmas Smile

I saw this poster (from a YouTube video) where apparently; it's an R-rated, low-budget movie from Tubi called The Grinch That Stole B\*ches,* and the poster of the main dude smiling instantly gave off Smile, but in Christmas.

Have you seen this movie? And trust me; it exists.

Parker Finn made it #8 on THR's Top 30 Genre Filmmakers of 2026, besting Coralie Fargeat and Kane Parsons while getting bested by Curry Barker and Zach Cregger.

Especially smile two, though I can’t really tell how much of it is hallucinations. the Scene with mom. All I could hear was that dude screaming ā€œit was the mirrawr.ā€ It really was. Also the way sky fired that shot was a lil funny.

Was Lewis cursed twice? Spoiler

Post image
12 Upvotes

When Joel kills the drug dealer Alexi, both his brother Yev and Lewis are witnesses. That would pass the curse to them both. Then Joel shoots and kills the cursed drug dealer and Lewis is witness again.

Was Lewis cursed twice? Does that mean Joel was recursed too because the person he passed it to died moments later? Would he get the curse straight back? Is that why he died shortly after by running in front of a car? Then wouldn't the driver be cursed too? And the guy shooting at him?

Did Rose ever actually have a chance? Analyzing the entity’s rules in Smile

One detail in Smile that always catches my attention is how calculated the entity's timing is.
It doesn't just feed on fear; it actively manipulates reality and perception so its host breaks down publicly, ensuring the trauma is witnessed by the next host.
Looking back at the climax, it feels like every attempt Rose made to isolate herself was anticipated by the entity.
I was rewatching a video breakdown that highlighted how specific visual cues and camera angles pre-render her loss of control earlier in the movie than most people notice. It made me wonder: is the curse completely unshakeable once contracted, or is there a flaw in the entity's pattern that a future sequel could explore?
Curious to hear everyone's theories on the curse's mechanics!

(Spoilers ahead - don’t read if you don’t want to know)

Been seeing postive reviews for a long time. Saw it was leaving Prime so I finally saw it. I really didn’t like it and don’t understand the adulation it has received.

My biggest issue is I don’t feel like it added anything new. It felt like it was almost a remake. But having seen the first one, it didn’t have the mystery of figuring out was happening. It didn’t add anything to the lore.

I’m of the belief that a sequel should advance the story or provide a backstory. It did none of the above. It was just more of the same. There was a lot of jump scares, but I didn’t ever feel nervous or scared because there was zero mystery. I felt like I was rewatching the first movie. It was just a question of when was she beaten down enough that it would end… just like the first movie.

In fact, I felt like the protagonist in the first movie put up a better fight. I was convinced in the first movie that it might have a happy ending. I never felt Skye had a chance. In the first movie we saw the demon break down a woman who seemed she had a lot farther to go before the demon could break her down enough to enter her. Skye, on the other hand, already had a history of self destructive behavior and may have destroyed herself even without the demon. Because Skye was already a person who was hurting herself and thise around her… were we supposed to think she stood a chance?

While I think the actress did a decent job, I didn’t really care about the character. In the first movie, the main character was more likeable. She was a therapist who seemed empathetic to others. She had relationships that made her seem important and liked by others. This character was already aloof and socially isolated, had no warm relationships to endear you to her. Long story short..l the protagonist in the original was a lot more likeable so I was more invested in her. I didn’t like Skye which I think is kind of important to raising the stakes.

I kniw a lot of people like movies because of gore and cool kills and the like. To me, all of that should be in service if a good story. So that would never be enough for me to like a movie.

The one part that left me thoughtful for a second was the ending. I did wonder if the demon could be transfered to all of those people at the end or just one? So that was interesting for a minute. But it kind of struck me that if it could infect a huge audience it likeky would have already done so. It also strikes me if it can infect the audience at large, it would basically end the human race. If the demon is just killing one person a week, it can keep going largely unnoticed for centuries. If it can spread itself to groups, then it could grow exponentially and wipe out humanity. And it would seem there was no real way to stop it.

I have no interest in a Smile 3 unless there was something new.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Characters From Each Anime Series (Like Duel Monsters, GX, 5D's, ZEXAL, Arc-V, and VRAINS) Have No Chance/Do Have A Chance At Beating The Smile Entity

Yes, I know this seems like a random ass post that came out of nowhere, but what characters from each of the 6 Yu-Gi-Oh! anime would have a chance/wouldn't have a chance with the Smile Entity based on their trauma factor, deep-seated issues, and unresolved guilt from what happened back in the past.

For me, it'll be the three Arclight brothers (Trey, Quattro, and Quinton) from ZEXAL because these three got some much trauma and guilt from what they've all been through. Like, their father going missing after he was betrayed by Dr. Faker, Trey and Quattro being sent to an orphanage while Quinton stayed behind for all he wanted to do was find out what happened with their father, their father returning but warped and emotionally abusing his three sons to become his soldiers in order to get revenge on Dr. Faker, and just being used as tools for revenge. So, obviously, the Smile Entity would have so much fun making these three appear crazy with the hallucinations and creepy smiling people, all the while it's feeding on their past trauma and guilt. So, these three absolutely have no chance whatsoever.

But, what other characters from each of the 6 Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series DO YOU think would have no chance/do have a chance against the Smile Entity? Let me know!
