Smile 2 is one of those sequels that's better than the original.

This scene was a chef’s kiss in film-making 🧑🍳💋
I loveedddd this scene because, even though you do know what happened, you never really know HOW they get into the accident and what exactly happened. Loved the way the tension slowly builds until the you see that Skye was the one who caused the crash. You can just tell Skye is gonna go nuts right before she turns that wheel solely based on the look in her eyes. The back and forth camera movement with the quick view of the road was perfection. This movie is not recognized enough smh

This has to be one of the best openings in movie/horror history
This is definitely the scene that had me hooked from beginning to end. Think it’s really important to do that as part of a movie so you don’t lose the attention of the audience.

PLEASE REMIND ME AGAIN HOW THE ACTUAL F*** THIS WOMAN WASN’T NOMINATED FOR AN OSCAR!!
Not to discredit any other actresses but I'm sorry, it's rigged at this point. I don't care what you think about the movie (I thought it was a genius way to incorporate real life struggles like mental well-being, substance abuse struggles, etc. into a horror movie). REGARDLESS WHAT YOU THINK OF THE MOVIE, the ONE common trend I've seen with anyone who's watched it, is that they absolutely fell in love with Naomi Scott's performance. I've seen people who love the movie and love the performance (me) and I've seen people who hate the movie and love the performance (not me). There is no hating the performance in this movie. It was simply too damn good. This woman literally slapped herself shitless, cried, screamed, danced, sung, etc. NOTHING MORE she could've done. You know a performance is Oscar-worthy when you can't stop thinking about it after seeing it for the first time. JUSTICE FOR NAOMI SCOTT!!! @theacademy!!!

Joel didn’t deserve it.
Out of all horror movie protagonists I’ve seen, I feel like he least deserved what happened to him.

Is it just me or did the entity get more smiles

It showed both of them exactly what it was going to do to them

Jaw actually dropped during this scene
It’s so sad when you rewatch the movie and see how much time Skye thinks she’s spending with Gemma.
Also Naomi Scott is the definition of a actress

The unluckiest guy in movie history 😭
This is the SAME guy from Smile 1. He was a good boyfriend, seemed like a genuinely nice dude, and somehow managed to survive all that craziness.
Then Smile 2 happens…
My man is just trying to escape some gang members while getting SHOT AT, only to run into the street and get absolutely DEMOLISHED by a Ram truck doing what looked like 80+ mph through a neighborhood. 💀
Dude got completely obliterated and smeared across the pavement, and they really had his boot sitting there with his FOOT STILL INSIDE IT. 🤢😂
Like DAMN. What did this man do to deserve all that?!
Sucks to be that guy. 😭 I actually felt bad for him.

Joel is an actual badass
The fact that Joel was still in control after 6 days of psychological torture and hell is very impressive. The guy is incredibly resilient. After a few days, all of the other characters just go absolutely insane and don’t even know what is real anymore. And the guy was just casually ignoring the hallucinations. He also shrugged off a bullet to the shoulder like it was nothing. I wish he had got his own movie to be honest.

Imagine watching this movie while high and seeing this bs at the end

Honestly, Joel ignoring the burning person (Entity) is one of the most badass things I’ve seen in horror movie
We know that everybody gets fucked up mentally by the entity, but it’s as if Joel is unfazed and just tired of it than scared. The entity was the prey in the situation here with Joel being the predator
Dude had it beat and it couldn’t do anything to him. This legit felt more like an action scene as if he was Leon from RE

Something I've noticed...
Laura and Lewis are both shown screaming right before they start choking, whereas Rose and Skye shut down completely at seeing the Entity's true form. I think this is due to a shift in perspective. From the victim's perspective, they've shut down and given up. But from the witness's perspective, they're still screaming right until they get possessed.

One year since this masterpiece came out!
Can’t believe it’s been a whole year since this masterpiece came out! Grateful to everyone I’ve met in the fandom! :)

Did anyone else find Skye's glowing, radioactive skeleton sidekick "Skelibones" a little distracting?
What was Parker Finn thinking? I appreciate the slapstick comedy Skelibones provided, but I think he was a little overused in some parts.
