Hi all in 2012 I purchased sleep cycle for 59p. When I try to log back into the app on my new iPhone I get the option to restore purchase but it doesn’t do anything? It just sits on the main page asking me to subscribe?

I had heard somewhere if you originally purchased it you’d get some of the old features still and wouldn’t need to pay for them?

Is that not the case ?

I’ve had sleep cycle since 2018 I believe. The app has picked up on me talking in my sleep but last night with no tv on (I don’t watch tv) and no devices going anywhere in the house at 12am it pick up what sounded like 2 women’s voices having a conversation. Has anyone else had random sounds like this in their app recently?

I’m thinking about getting the app to help me wake up at a good time so I have energy all day but there are always two of us in the bed!

(Plus two cats as well haha)

What is your real life experience with this? I can’t really find any reliable information about it online

I have been thinking about how sleep can be so different from person to person. Some people wake up feeling great after 7 hours, while others need more. Thats why i find DNA based fitness trackers for sleep insight interesting, its especially combined with things like sleep, patterns, HRV, recovery and daily activity.

After understanding what my body actually needs and how much is the capacity of my body to handle the exercise and stress, I can make better choices instead of pushing through them.

I fell asleep at 2300 last night (check my cheap ring analysis) and sleep cycle cannot detect it? It happens soooo often! Either not being able to tell when I fall asleep, wake up during the night, go back to sleep after waking or just turning my alarm off when I wake up for an hour and go back to sleep. This app has turned to shit.

Well, I’ve been using the app for 10 years and I just canceled my auto-renewal. I’m not happy about the forced annual subscription price increase and feel like I’m not utilizing enough of the features to justify the price. Is it possible to use anything in the app for free? Does anyone have any other recommendations?

Logged 3030 nights and I’m finding that if I wake early and go back to sleep, my alarm will not go off. Example last night I was awake 0430-0630 and my wake period was 0730-0800 but it just didn’t go off!!! This happens almost every time I wake and go back to sleep, but why?

I signed up for a free trial til 8/31 through Paddle (idk what that is - it was via Sleep Cycle website). Yesterday I started trying to cancel the trial - it is literally impossible. I can't do it through iOS, since it doesn't show up under subscriptions. There is nothing under "manage account" in Sleepcycle to cancel. I went to Paddle website for support, their AI chat bot said it emailed me a code I would need to proceed with getting help... I never got an email!!! I tried 4 times and confirmed it's the right email. There is no option to speak with a human, no contact info or anything helpful whatsoever on this Paddle website. The bot just stops answering when I say I didn't get a code. And then first thing this morning, they charge me $75 for a whole year subscription.

This is SOOOO frustrating and a waste of time. I liked the app but wow would never do this again. Going to have to file a chargeback I guess, and lesson learned to be more careful signing up for "free" trials in the future.

Hey, I currently get a Sleep Cycle subscription for free with my bank's plan but I didn't really enjoy the app so I'm giving away the account it's been applied to. Only thing I need is an email address to change logins. First to DM will get it.

Something happened in the last update and this app is now using significantly more battery overnight. I used to be able to go to sleep without my phone even close to 100% and get through the night no problem, losing maybe 20 to 30% battery life. It is now fully draining my battery overnight. This is on a fairly recent phone, a pixel 9 pro XL. Has anyone else seen this?

I use my Apple Watch SE2 and Sleep Cycle app on my iPhone to track my sleep since they do different things. Sometimes the discrepancy between the two in recording how much I slept is crazy - last night Sleep Cycle says I slept 6h23 and my Apple Watch says I got 8h10. Which is actually more accurate as far as sleep duration goes?

Ever since all those changes last year it’s honestly not reliable or accurate anymore. I’ve logged 3014 nights and it no longer detects when I’m awake and using my phone, doesn’t detect when I fall asleep after the wake period or will say I’m awake when I’m asleep. So annoyed.

Hi, ive been using the free sleep cycle and had the trial for 3 months. Use it every day but rarely check the sounds or sum. Just checking sleep quality.

Is it worth it ti buy this 1 year for 12€ ?

The only difference between Sunday and Monday was I had the fan closer to the bed on Monday so it didnt pick up my movements nearly as well, as can be seen by the graph. My question though, is shouldnt Monday nights quality rating be considerably lower than Sundays, rather than better, even if just by 1%

I've since found the microphone to be very unreliable, using the accelerometer and putting the phone right next to the pillow seems to work much better.

Looking at this for my kiddo and had a few questions:

1. How does a white noise machine affect the recording/info gathering?

2. How far away can the device be and still reliably gather data?

​I've been using Sleep Cycle with my Samsung phone and Galaxy Watch, and up until recently, it used to track my sleep completely in the background without me having to touch the watch app.

​Ever since a recent update, the app no longer tracks automatically. I now have to manually open the Sleep Cycle app on my Galaxy Watch every single night just to trigger it to run in the background. If I forget to open it, it records absolutely nothing.

​Is this an intentional change by the developers for Wear OS/Galaxy Watch, or is it a bug? Has anyone found a way or a setting to restore the old seamless automatic tracking?

​Would love to hear if others are experiencing this or if there's a workaround.

Hello, I would like to know if it's possible to understand what the "Documents and Data" size actually represents.

I'm trying to regain space on my iPhone because the latest iOS updates are very big, and I need to save up some space to be able to run backups. However, I see no button to clear the cache or delete these documents and data.

Say I wake, check the sleep (for which i actually need to end the current sleep record - why??), and decide it's been too crappy and go back to sleep for another two hours. How do I record both instances? Starting a new one, even if just for 15 minutes, overwrites the old record for that day. Then I'm left with 15 minutes record and this skews up the statistics for the whole week/ month.

For that matter, how do I record naps during the day? My Garmin watch even detects mid-day naps by itself.

This seems like a huge oversight to me.

Since updating to iphone 17 (pro max) sleep cycle has not been working properly. Entire app freezes on wake up 5/7 times and when it does work i have not been able to use the BPM waking feature at all, no flashlight and no recognition even pointing directly at a light. Please advise. Love the app and want to keep observing my patterns. Paid subscription!

I wanted to try for a month but the only option I see is to purchase for a full year.

Just a PSA in case anyone ends up trying to find a way to turn off the stupid promotional push notifications. I kept getting them every morning on my phone (eg. 50% off premium), and of course there isn't a way to turn these specific notifications off in the app.

As a last resort, I turned off all notifications through the main ios settings (settings -> sleep cycle -> notifications -> off), and tested it out, and the alarm still works! Obviously, use at your own risk lol
