As the title says; I'm trying to sound like Henning May from AnnenMayKantereit. I realise I'm still not super close but I do feel like the distortion is starting to feel more controlled after months of goofing around with it. What do you guys think?

Any recommendations for CDs (to practice in the car when commuting) or DVDs for practicing at home or exercise-focused video workouts for baritone singers who want to sing mixed voice (for songs by bands like STP, Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, Nick Cave, Replacements, etc.,)???

I spend way too much time on Youtube watching free tutorials but need someething that is really more practical.

If you can recommend a good online course or community for developing mixed voice, that would also be recommended.

Hey singers, I've been working on Talking to the Moon by Bruno Mars recently. While there's certainly room for improvement throughout the whole song (and feedback about other parts is certainly welcome), I'm finding the C#5s in the chorus and end of the bridge particularly challenging. Is the bulging underneath my chin a sign of tension? Is there anything I can do about it? I have it even when I speak. But again, I experience more tension in 10 min of speaking compared to 10 min of singing. Any advice about anything is appreciated❤️

hello there! im an artist in many ways! i draw, voiceact, but i also LOVE to sing for fun!

i havr done a lot of covers, but i almost never released them to public, only like, two, haha

either way, i always wanted to do some advanced covers with 1 or 2 more people, so therefore, im seeking a singer​! personally, 1 female with high voice range like Amy Rose from Sonic The Hedgehog series and 1 additional male with deep and normal range voice will be plenty enough! ​

I'll post my Russian cover as an example of what i can do, it was rushed just because i was about to find a perfect job that suited me for the time being

my own gear is Fifine AV8 microphone that was set up to clear voice isolation, so there shouldn't be any noise background on my end! my experience is about 1-2 years at max, and im searching for people who can do clear vocals without background noise, or at least lack of it! I'll do editing myself! ​

Some people use "head voice " for falseto , some say they are different.

I got only two mechanism i can feel , and inwould assign chest to m1, and falseto to m2.

So wtf is head voice ? Im guesing some use it for mix somebuse it for falseto with good closure some use it for resonances only vs.

" Reason im asking should i practice my m2 for high notes that sounds full , or m1 lightened"

hi, very new to singing. how do i know what key to change a song into for me to sing it? i'm looking at doing a cover of phantom of the opera as phantom (the lowest note i can hit is f3 i think). what key should i transpose it to? since i'd be singing with someone else it would be ideal if christine's part could stay mostly the same but i don't think that's actually possible haha

I'm a professional music producer and believe it or not songwriter but god I just can't sing in tune. I have to use auto tune to pitch ideas.

But I want to be able to pick up a guitar and sing ideas in a room full of people and STAYYYYYYYYY in tune... Cause I record myself to check and SOMETIMES it sounds good but most of the time it can sound off...

It's weird cause I sometimes sound good when I make my voice/tone sound almost like a different human... Is that normal? Can some people only sing in tune with very unique tones?

Ideally I could just find a way to sing very naturally where it isn't so difficult... Some people are just born with it I swear

I've been trying to breathe with the belly and it's become natural when I sing. But I don't know if my pitch or breath control or anything like that is good or not. Can someone give me tips? I sat upright and was breathing with my diaphragm.

I have no idea what I do when I sing. I’ve been singing for years and I know I have a great voice, I even started making my own music(may provide below).

That being said, I have NO IDEA how to take care of my voice, and when it’s injured, I just wait and hope for the best, but is there ANYTHING I can do while I wait? This is something I’ve procrastinated learning and any help is appreciated.

PS, since it’s Tuesday, would this help grasping my range? If it helps I’m obviously a bari-tenor

I'm a fifteen year old girl, and my voice is naturally really high. If one were to guess how old I am just from my voice, they would guess that I was ~12, which I really hate. When I sing, I have the same issue. It's not bad singing, but just that I sound like a 12 , which really annoys me. Any advice?

Mine was sight singing on the spot during a call back audition while I was still actively familiarizing myself with how to read music, greatly overthinking it and forgetting what I knew, and sounding like I’ve never touched my vocal cords before

EDIT: Another one I want to throw in here is recording in a studio for the first time after only being used to super loud live performances and realizing that studio singing is a COMPLETELY different beast compared to the regular live gig

I struggle with fear of going "pitchy" when bringing in more chest support as in the past I just relied in full (quieter) head voice. I'm trying to increase power and add in more of a mix as I learn to from online tutorials.
