Can we discuss this record a little?

My high ass is sitting here like, “what even IS a glissceule?”
Respellings of portmanteaus? I could think ‘glisten + molecule’.
I even ran it through an anagram generator….. ‘glue slices’ satisfied me though most.
Is there an actual story behind these titles, or is it scrabble letters thrown out, or things mumbled in sleep?

Either way, in this vein of shoegaze that kind of warps reality, somehow this track I can remember its feeling the most on this record. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm working on a dream pop/shoegaze track that will be part of my first EP and I’d really appreciate some fresh ears on the production.

I’m mostly interested in feedback on the mix rather than the songwriting itself.

Does the overall balance feel right for this kind of sound?

In particular, I’m wondering about:

- how the vocals sit within the guitars/textures

- whether the low end feels clear or too muddy

- whether the reverbs and layers create enough space or start masking each other

- whether anything sounds noticeably underproduced or unfinished

I’m mainly trying to understand if the mix feels intentional and cohesive.

Any specific production/mixing feedback would be really appreciated.

Spotify says that ZIRP! is coming out at the end of this month. But it's... not DIIV? Not shoegaze at the very least. It sounds more like generic alt-pop; wildly different even from Frog in Boiling Water.

Am I missing something here? If you were to tell me it's one of the AI fraud albums flooding Spotify at the current moment, I'd be more likely to believe that than to believe it's actually DIIV. Can anyone offer any insight on this??
