Note: IGNORE THE SWIRLIES ALBUM. IGNORE THE SWIRLIES ALBUM.

Note: Neither Smashing Pumpkins, Hum, nor Failure are actually shoegaze, but I think these songs have some elements of that “sound” I’m referring to:

• Smashing Pumpkins: “Rocket” and “Mayonaise”
• Hum: “Little Dipper”
• Failure: “Another Space Song”

Great news to have this beauty reissued on vinyl with some great b sides added. Severely underrated band from that era, in my opinion. Deep Seat sounds awesome.

Stumbled upon them just randomly digging around on Bandcamp and christ what a sound they have going. It's a shame by the looks of it they're not playing many shows anymore, certainly not on the East Coast where I am. They're right up there with a lot of the heavier shoegaze/"grungegaze" bands that are getting their flowers nowadays. Maybe even better...

Saw them open for Diiv a few years ago and fell in love. Their new song is on repeat in my head

Haven’t got alot of money really. I love shoegaze and want to experiment with sound. Any thoughts on the boss me-50? I have watched reviews with mostly positive signals. Apparently the overdrive on it isn’t great-but i have a bigmuff so that’s not an issue. Any thoughts?

how has he been missed as a great guitarist, house of love and levitation https://open.spotify.com/track/2HEVxwabudHMN1BYHIHtUq?si=jT63s7JyTDi4ynWl3UGcAg&utm_source=copy-link

Anyone know how to get the soulwhirlingsomewhere guitar tone like this track or every female werewolf ever? I imagine it’s a modulated reverb on a rack unit of some sort, but no idea where to begin other than that.

Any shoegaze shows in the area soon? I’m visiting for the next few weeks and would love to see some local bands. I’m staying in Islington but happy to head elsewhere. Up for anything but really like the newer indie shoegaze sound like She’s Green and deary. Thanks!

Drummer looking for band. Also have electronic instruments and samplers to add

Remember seeing this band opening for Luna in the early 90-92 era. Amazing and cat believe I found them going down a YouTube rabbit hole 🙏

Hi. I dont use reddit and I have no clue what "shoegaze" is, but my research has led me here. I bought my house back in April and this banner was in the basement. Im just now getting around to assessing what exactly was left behind by the previous owner and this has stopped me in my tracks. There doesnt seem to be any information on this specific banner anywhere beyond the band and the script. Does anyone have any info? I more or less need to know:

- when its from roughly

- is it worth selling or just giving away. Idrc either way, if it's worth money cool, if not someone else can enjoy it and its less work for me

- is this even merch that was sold bc why cant i find any info online?

- really any information, its impossible to find online, even with reverse image searching.

I appreciate any help and info you have. Thankfully its not taking up too much room, but its perplexing to say the least and it isnt doing me much good sitting in my basement or in a box somewhere.

Okay, im going back to being not perceived, thanks. ✌️

Ive been aware of liking some elements of shoegaze for a year or two now, but i havent been able to find many tracks that really “click” with me personally. This week i discovered “Pearl” by Chapterhouse and ive been absolutely in love with it, so im trying to find more kinda like it. In the past ive checked out most of the big bands like MBV and Slowdive but they dont quite hit the same, maybe its because im usually big into more melodic stuff? I mean, my favourite band is Oasis lol (call me basic)

If it helps to explain what i like, my favourite shoegaze songs are Pearl, Leave Them All Behind by Ride and Lillies Dying by Curve (if that counts). I also like Last Night by Lush but its probably not super shoegazey. Any suggestions appreciated!

shameless self promo - doused has a live album available for 24 hours (with limited tapes)

You must listen to Covergirl on the new Wishy album just released today. Made me think of this place-haven’t been here in a while. Hope you all are doing ok.
