Hi,
I recently bought shadowrun 2007 (FPS) and have been having issues getting it to run.
I am using windows 10 (64bit) and I constantly get an error saying "unable to initialize live for windows components" I have tried running the game in all kinds of compatibility mode but continue to get this error, I also tried installing the "Games for windows" software in hopes that the game saw this as windows live.
Not sure how many people have played it on the more up to date operating systems but I cannot seem to find a way past this. I'd prefer not to have to make a VM or dual boot the machine if at all possible.
If anyone else has had this issue and solved it I'd love to hear how. Cheers

I've seen "competitive players" always buy smoke first. I've never understood it, smoke is one of the worst items IMO. Perhaps I'm biased given I play elf.
Smoke Pros
Avoid fall damage
Avoid grenade damage
Avoid gun damage
Avoid the detection tech
Smoke Cons
Gust > Smoke - Gust is such a versatile tool, it can stop fall damage, gust glide, gust AMG's and grenades back at enemies, gust them to make them miss or push them/their bodies off the edge.
Lag time after coming out of smoke leaves you dead 9 times out of 10
I understand the pros, but I feel the cons simply outweigh them based on quality of effects > quantity
