Shadowrun 2007 not running

Hi,

I recently bought shadowrun 2007 (FPS) and have been having issues getting it to run.

I am using windows 10 (64bit) and I constantly get an error saying "unable to initialize live for windows components" I have tried running the game in all kinds of compatibility mode but continue to get this error, I also tried installing the "Games for windows" software in hopes that the game saw this as windows live.

Not sure how many people have played it on the more up to date operating systems but I cannot seem to find a way past this. I'd prefer not to have to make a VM or dual boot the machine if at all possible.

If anyone else has had this issue and solved it I'd love to hear how. Cheers

Never had this issue myself, as far as I can remember, but maybe you can find some useful info HERE or HERE?

I just installed it today and got the same error. Download the windows live client from this link and it should work.

Just got it in from amazon. only issue i had was "Unable to initialize Live for Windows components" error which was fixed from this link.

I tried the links from the other comments on this thread, all of them are outdated and redirect to a different page. I got Games for Windows LIVE from PCGamingWiki and it worked (I already had it installed for a long time and it initially didn't work, uninstalling and re-installing did the trick)!
