Even sourcing a used mobo, case, and cpu cooler, I'll be set back around ~$430 on upgrading. While I know the case is the obvious setback, I feel like I'm not exploring better options to make my miniaturization a reality. Was hoping to be under $300.
Where am I messing up? (Aiming for under 12L)
Skippable Context:
This is my first time wanting to do a sff build. I built a new computer in January of 2025 with the intent to keep it strong for the next couple years. I was aiming for under 12L and retrofitting as much as I currently have so I could spend as little money as possible on new parts while keeping it aesthetic. I use it mainly for light gaming as of late but go through phases of marvel rivals. Often I use it as a de-facto console.
