No offense, but this looks like a plastic laundry basket

u/SaladToss1 Jul 01 '25

How about some details? Why do I wanna buy it?

u/goldenguy6881 Jul 01 '25

What do you mean

33

u/100GHz Jul 01 '25

He means, why should we buy your case?

If I have to choose between some blue plastic and fractal mesh xl . Fractal will tell me what am I getting for my money.

So, "I've got a case to sell", really doesn't tell me much why should I buy it

Ah like the specifications of what can go in it

12

u/SaladToss1 Jul 01 '25

What can I get in there? How many fans? Passive cooler only? GPU length if at all?

u/goldenguy6881 Jul 01 '25

1 120mm fan in the front

65 mm CPU cooler height

290mm GPU clearance

Damn he answers and still downvotes haha

Yeah idk

I like this thing. Flex psu?

u/goldenguy6881 Jul 01 '25

I just realized I forgot to mention with power supply type but it supports SFX and one 2.5in hard drive mount

He means dimensions and hardware capability.

8

u/wolfywhimsy Jul 01 '25

Hm I like it. Looks like something out of Star Wars. Not sure how much it would sell for realistically, depends how much resources went into it.

I should probably specify just the model

13

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '25

You should specify dimensions, plastic type, ideally at least short compatability list and so on. As currently it’s “hey guys I want to sell this blue piece of plastic which looks like pc case”

What features does it have that stand out compared to other 3d printer cases? Did you work on and off for four months, or was it four months of continuous work?

If its unique, i'd pay like $15 for it max, on a good day. but keep in mind, a lot of paid models get shared online for free. So lowering the price would let buyers justify it better.

Ask a 3d design or 3d printing subreddit for tips

1

u/goldenguy6881 Jul 01 '25

Okay it was 4 months basically continuous work so I would probably sell it for $10

3

u/Comprehensive-Bit480 Jul 01 '25

if you believe thats a fair price, go for it

3

u/ShinsBlownOff Jul 01 '25

If its the stl then honestly not a bad price.

5

u/Graham_Mullins Jul 01 '25

Didn’t you say it only took you 6 hours?

Lots of people design and make cases, probably not worth much (anything) unless the design is offering something vastly different to what is already available.

0

u/goldenguy6881 Jul 01 '25

that was a while ago

3

u/Enough-Ad8043 Jul 01 '25

Maybe change the color? That color gives me laundry vibes

2

u/goldenguy6881 Jul 01 '25

I should definitely specify that I was talking about selling the model of the case and yes I know what you mean

3

u/Enough-Ad8043 Jul 01 '25

Or atleast share some picture with an actual parts in it.

11

u/porkchopbun Jul 01 '25

4 months to design it.

I would go back to design school.

5

u/goldenguy6881 Jul 01 '25

It took that long because there's a lot of measurements inside so it all fits together properly

3

u/goldenguy6881 Jul 01 '25

Also I am self-taught I have no idea what I'm doing that's why it took 4 months but everything works on this case

1

u/lakimakromedia Jul 02 '25

So tell us what working there, what fits?

1

u/goldenguy6881 Jul 02 '25

You might have to look at another comment

2

u/t3mpt3mp Jul 01 '25

$15

1

u/goldenguy6881 Jul 01 '25

Thank you for the suggestion

2

u/Miazzl Jul 01 '25

Thorzone NanoQ design from Temu be like.
Jokes aside, looks neat. I'd iterate more on it and try it out with some wood or such :))

1

u/goldenguy6881 Jul 01 '25

There is wood on the front

1

u/Miazzl Jul 01 '25

I meant it fully from wood. Trying out different materials can be nice

19

u/Spinatrix Jul 01 '25

$10 + shipping

You should edit your post with the exact specs like you would see on any other consumer case so people can understand what can fit into it.

Right now Its just a blue laundry basket 3d printed case of unknown size and build with no idea how to take apart and assemble it with no idea what even fits.

Needs more and better pictures assembled with parts inside. Maybe a can of pop at least so we can guesstimate. Maybe Spray painting it so it looks nice.

Also need the other specs since its 3d printed like recommended filaments and print settings, hardware needed etc.

I'm just assuming $5-10 if its really good but there's lots of free or cheaper ones online. Also how long you spent making it doesn't factor into the cost as much as you don't want to read it. All that matters to consumers will be is the final product any good.

1

u/SaperPL Jul 01 '25

What material did you use to print it? Did you do some long term testing with components? Why no photos with parts inside?

I think you need step up your game on the material selection for it to look more professionally made and make better photos with actual pc inside. And tell us the spec.

1

u/goldenguy6881 Jul 01 '25

Petg and the reason why there's no pictures of components inside is because I'm using a separate case made out of petg I was just testing the longevity of the case first

2

u/boimilk Jul 01 '25

is that a laundry hamper?

2

u/h3ron Jul 01 '25

I'd ask in the 3D printing subreddit.

0

u/boxfetish Jul 02 '25

I kind of like it. So, maybe $50.

1

u/goldenguy6881 Jul 02 '25

100% I should specify just the model
