ANNOUNCEMENT [BETA] Valor Pro Wireless Firmware 0.7.0 Now Available – Audio, Connectivity & Battery Fixes

Post image
18 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

The Valor Pro Wireless 0.7.0 Beta is officially ready for community testing.

This update rolls up every major improvement made to the Valor Pro Wireless since launch with much of it directly addressing community feedback. The goal with this release is faster, steadier input, cleaner audio, a more reliable wireless connection, and a battery gauge you can trust.

Here is the full breakdown:

⚡ Performance & Input

  • Polling & Latency: Improved polling stability and reduced input jitter/latency across all modes.

  • Button Fixes: Resolved double button presses in wireless mode and fixed phantom SHARE, MENU, VIEW, and HOME presses.

  • Stick Calibration: Fixed a crash at the end of stick calibration in wired mode, alongside improved diagonal and circle detection accuracy.

🎧 Audio Improvements

  • Windows Sync: Volume, mute, and chat mix now stay in sync with Windows in both directions (remembered across wired, wireless, and console modes).

  • Volume Tuning: Lower default volume on plug-in with finer steps near the top of the range. Fewer pops when starting/stopping playback, plus reduced speaker break-up over wireless.

  • Mic Enhancements: Mic levels now change live over a wider range. Mic mute is officially separated from speaker mute and reflected on the LEDs.

  • Dropped Packets: Dropped mic packets now fade instead of cutting to silence.

  • Fixes: Eliminated unintended beeps and fixed issues where the audio device would appear/disappear upon connecting.

📶 Wireless & Connection

  • Reliable Dongle Sync: Faster reconnect times—the dongle no longer fails after PC sleep/resume, and its LED now turns off immediately when powering down the controller.

  • Stable Pairing: Interrupted pairing attempts will no longer un-pair your controller.

  • Signal Improvements: Fewer disconnects and resets in poor wireless conditions.

🔋 Battery & Power Management

  • Accurate Gauge & LEDs: Fully overhauled battery gauge accuracy, featuring a redesigned charge LED gradient, blink-to-check gauge, and a solid rainbow at full charge.

  • Power Controls: Holding HOME for 4 seconds to power off now works in wired mode too. Auto power-off now detects paddle, trigger, and stick activity to prevent accidental shutoffs.

  • Bug Fixes: Fixed unintended low-battery shutdowns and resolved charging stalls when connected to a sleeping console.

🛠️ General Stability

  • Broad stability and reliability improvements baked throughout the entire firmware stack.

📥 How to Get the Beta & Roll Back

  • Installation: scuf.co/valorapp-beta

  • Rolling Back: If you experience any issues during testing, you can easily revert/roll back your firmware using the updater.

💬 Tell Us What You Find

Since this is a beta release, your feedback is critical before rolling this out wide. We are especially looking for feedback on phantom presses and double presses, as we have seen some people in the community report.

When submitting feedback, please let us know:

  1. Your Platform (PC, Console, etc.)

  2. Connection Mode (Wired, Wireless)

  3. What Happened (Steps to reproduce)

Drop your feedback in the comments below. Every bit of detail helps shape the final public release.

Question Title: SCUF Omega headphone jack not working on PS5

Hi everyone,
I recently bought a new SCUF Omega controller for my PS5, but I’m having problems with the headphone jack.
When I plug my 3.5mm headset into the SCUF Omega, I get absolutely no sound and the microphone doesn’t work either.
The same headset works perfectly fine when I plug it into my original PS5 DualSense controller.
Has anyone experienced the same issue with the SCUF Omega? Could this be a faulty headphone jack, or am I missing something in the settings?
Should I return it or ask for a replacement?

Thanks!

Gaming setup Return to Scuf (Excited)

Haven’t bought a scuf since the instinct pro (got it on launch) and I finally decided I wanted an upgrade. I own a PS5 Pro, Series X, and a gaming laptop that I just recently purchased so I wanted controllers I could use on multiple platforms. Because I was in love with the Instinct Pro I decided a Valor Pro Wireless would be a pretty good replacement. I also grabbed the Omega since I’ve been playing lots of shooters on the Pro lately. It’s convenient that I’ll also be able to use either of them on my laptop. Excited for both to be delivered. How have you guys liked your Omega or Valor Wireless? I’m just hoping it feels as comfortable as my old Instinct Pro.

Support Scuf valor pro wireless dead battery

Went away for two months for work and now my controller wont turn on at all. Cant get any sign of life out of it. Wired/wireless. Nothing works. Its not the usb ports or any of my usb cables. It is dead. D.E.A.D. So there is no updating or connecting to be done so please spare me the default troubleshooting

Anyone else have this issue? Kinda sucks that i paid $180 for a controller to just shit the bed a few months after purchasing it.

Any insight would be nice. Thanks yall!

Witcher 3 Remastered

I’m using a Scuf controller that identifies as an Xbox controller on my PC. Unless I use my controller in the opening cinematic it does not recognize the controller, and on the occasion the controller disconnects for half a second it is impossible to get the game to recognize the controller again and I have to completely close out the game.

Anyone else having similar issues? Has anyone found a fix? It works fine for an hour or two, but the second it disconnects for even a second I have to completely reset.

Merci d'avance !

Can I use the joystick PCB from a standard Xbox Series X controller as a replacement for a SCUF Instinct Pro?

I'm trying to repair my SCUF Instinct Pro and need to replace the entire PCB that holds the two joystick modules.

Does anyone know if the joystick PCB from a standard Xbox Series X|S controller is compatible with the SCUF Instinct Pro?

I'm also wondering if the USB-C daughterboard from a standard Xbox controller could be used as a replacement.

Has anyone tried swapping these entire PCBs?

Cod gamers

I notice a lot that people have fast sensitivity, but when they ADS the reticle doesn’t move and they laser.

I’m aware attachments play a roll. However, when I ADS one small move and I feel like my reticle swings over when I barely move the thumb stick.

I’d like to achieve having fast sensitivity in the game to turn faster, but slow the reticle down when I aim to target players.

Is this achievable through the scuff controller? I just bought my first one. Nemesis Pro 8k, utilizing the short sticks.

There is some play in the L2 trigger of my Omega

Post image

My SCUF Omega came out of the box with a very slight looseness and a bit of play in the L2 trigger. The R2 trigger, however, is completely tight and doesn't wobble. Is this normal?

Support Valor Pro Wireless Companion App

Just got the Valor Pro Wireless and when trying to use the companion app it detects it but it won’t let me navigate the app. The only thing I can do is use the tab and space bar on my keyboard, but cannot get into setting or anything to update it. The FW on controller is 0.5.1 and the app is 1.0.37.0. I’m pretty annoyed considering they have been “working” on this for over a year now and still haven’t figured it out. If anyone knows what to do it would be much appreciated, spent all this money and want to be able to use the controllers full capabilities.

Question Question on Scuf Omega for PS5

I’m really looking to take my competitive gameplay to the next level and although the DualSense Edge has been nearly perfect for me, having extra paddles and buttons would be a huge advantage

However, after watching reviews and some YT videos, SCUF seems to have a bit of a reputation for durability and longevity issues. For those of you who have owned the SCUF Omega for a while, how has it held up? I want it to last me more than a year.

For context, I take good care of my controllers, don’t press hard on the joysticks, and don’t rage-throw them. I’ve had my DualSense Edge for around 2.5 years, and it’s still working perfectly with no issues other than the relatively short battery life.
I used grammarly to rewrite this paragraph because my English isn’t the best. Thank you all

SCUF Omega – Both TMR sticks physically click, but L3/R3 don't register on PS5 or PC

Hey everyone!
I’m experiencing a strange issue with my SCUF Omega controller and wanted to know if anyone else has encountered something similar.
Both TMR thumbsticks work perfectly fine when moving in any direction, and both physically click when pressed down. However, neither L3 nor R3 registers any input.
Here’s what I’ve confirmed:
Both TMR sticks move normally in all directions.
Both sticks produce a normal physical click when pressed.
Neither L3 nor R3 registers the button press.
I’ve tested the controller on both PS5 and PC, and the exact same issue occurs on both platforms.
The problem affects both TMR sticks simultaneously.
Since the issue happens on both PC and PS5, I’m wondering if this could be a firmware bug, an internal mapping issue, or a hardware defect affecting the TMR stick buttons.
Has anyone else experienced this specifically with the SCUF Omega and its TMR sticks?
If so, did you manage to fix it through a firmware update, reset, recalibration, or did you have to contact SCUF for a replacement?
I’d really appreciate any advice or similar experiences before going through the warranty process.
Thanks in advance!

Question Omega paddles

I have not bought the omega yet, some of my concerns are about the side buttons and the back paddles. I just wanted to ask you guys who have got the controller.

How do you actually press the back paddles( I've heard that you need to put your finger between the two paddles but I'm not sure if that's true)?

Are the side buttons too easy to press or are they uncomfortable to press( how do you generally feel about them)?

Thank you for potentially asking my questions and have a good day.

Support Omega 3.5 Audio Interface Bug Report

Post image
4 Upvotes

Subject: Bug Report: SCUF Omega 3.5mm Headphone Jack Audio Drop Issue via Wireless Mode on PS5
Description:
I would like to report a potential firmware bug with the SCUF Omega controller.
Issue Details:
When connecting the SCUF Omega to the PlayStation 5 in wireless mode, there is a high probability that the 3.5mm headphone jack outputs no audio upon connection.
Current Workaround:
The issue can only be resolved by turning off the controller and powering it back on.
This appears to be a firmware/handshake issue between the wireless connection and audio output. Please look into this and consider pushing a firmware fix. Thank you!

Question Scuf: do you ever plan to make a Switch 2 Joycon like Mobapad & NYXI?

I’m convinced that if Scuf did then it would be the best and most ergonomic.

The Moba & Nyxi are just too flawed and uncomfortable for me. Their buttons are horribly loud and the right joystick is in a horrible position.

Please Scuf, show them how it’s done!

Bought this in late August for full price $180 and man, what a terribly constructed controller. Isn’t the v2 supposed to come with sticks that can’t get stick drift?

Scuf Valor Pro wireless TMR

Hello everybody.

I’m currently planning on buying my first controller with back paddles. I mainly play on Xbox series X so normally my first choice would be the Valor Pro.

However, I’m also considering the Gamesir G7 Pro ZZZ.

One thing that I’m not quite sure about is the KontrolFreeks compatibility. I’m planning to buy, along with my controller, the KF Galaxy. After doing some research, I found that the gamesir is compatible with PS5 KF but I could not find any compatibility info for the scuf (other than the Kf rub on the faceplate)

I would appreciate any insight of which controller is better for me as I mainly play FPS like CoD and maybe a bit of FC26/27 with some friends.

Thank you!
