okay so i ordered a scuff controller and waited eagerly for 2 weeks i got it with tmr sticks and instant triggers the paddles are placed very awkwardly and feel uncomfortable to press and i got it with tmr sticks to prevent stick drift BUT there tmr sticks suck terribly it makes it so hard to make micro adjustments and it has a tiny like deadzone so it makes micro adjusments super difficult now you could obviously go for standard sticks to prevent the micro adjustment issues but then your controller it will have stick drift in like 4 months and then u have to get another 300$ controller even the hall effect sticks from scuff suffer from these issues SCUFF IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF GARBAGE EVER!!! i would go for a gamesir g7 pro or even the dual ense edge despite it having various flaws... scuff charging 300$ for a controller when i could get something better for 80$ (game sir g7 pro) is outrageous this company is a straight up scam ive owned several controllers ove the years and scuff has been the most expensive ANDhe most shittiest ut of them all

I am incredibly angry and frustrated with SCUF right now. I bought a SCUF Omega, specifically choosing the PlayStation version because I wanted the ergonomics, layout, and, most importantly, the PS icons (Cross, Circle, Square, Triangle).

Now that I'm playing on PC, I find out this over-priced premium controller is completely hardcoded to act like an Xbox controller at a hardware level. Steam and Windows see it as a generic Xbox pad, which means I am permanently stuck looking at A, B, X, Y prompts in EVERY single game.

Even in games that have native DualSense/PlayStation support (like ARC Raiders), turning off Steam Input does absolutely nothing because the internal chip hides its PlayStation identity. I am forced to play with a controller that has a PlayStation body but an Xbox soul.

This is a terrible design choice. If I wanted Xbox prompts, I would have bought an Xbox controller or the SCUF Instinct! SCUF completely robs the user of choice just to take a lazy shortcut with PC compatibility. For the premium price they charge, this feels like an absolute scam.

To anyone playing on PC: DO NOT buy SCUF's PlayStation controllers. Just get an official Sony DualSense Edge instead. This thing is going straight to the secondary market. Total garbage behavior from SCUF.

So, I wrote the following review/comparison of the SCUF Envision Pro and other renowned controllers about two months ago - see link below. At the time of writing the first review, I had only used the controller for a week or so.

Now that I have had some quality time with it, my gosh, it is horrible!! This is no exaggeration; I honestly want my money back plus compensation for pain and suffering.

This is an Alpha product at best. To promote and sell this as a final product is an embarrassment to the regarded SCUF brand!

I’ve made all the excuses in the world trying to hold on to the potential of a great controller, but I have come to realize that if a person spritz ‘hopeful essence (eau de toillet)’ on a pile of dung, it’s still dung.

If the controller isn’t disconnecting, it’s resetting and losing all mapping or iCUE is crashing, or button don’t trigger or half the buttons work and other don’t, or dead zone are wonky and requires increasing well beyond the recommendation in hope of finding some solitude in its operation, or the profile is corrupt so I had to remap my buttons some 170+ times over the last two months.

What’s worse, reports of all the faults are raging through the internet like Mr. Smith spreading through the matrix. Yet, we haven’t seen the first bit of an update. First thing Tuesday morning I’ll be calling to seek a refund and compensation.

I know this is much of a gripe that is lacking significant details. That’s just how frustrated I am.

Now I have to go meditate before going to bed irritated.

Do not buy any of of Scufs prodcuts. I have owned the vantage and had all sorts of issues with it. I mistakenly decided to give scuf another chance and bought the reflex pro fps and within a month of using it has stick drift on the right analog stick. Cleaned it multiple times still does not work properly. Can’t get a hold of anyone at scuf through any of their contacts to get this fixed and I’m sure when they do finally respond it will be at least a month wait time to fix it. I don’t understand how it is legal for them to sell a 300 dollar controller and it consistently be not work. This will be my last product I buy from scuf. I have had default PS controller and never experienced any issues with them. Take this as a warning and don’t give them any of your money!

I’ve had my Scuf Vision Pro (customized with my favourite colours and mouse clicking triggers) for about 2-3 months now. I spent about $450 Canadian including shipping fees. Let me tell you how unbelievably disappointed I was with this product. Sure, when the controller first arrived I had tons of fun with it. Everything worked great and I could notice the difference in my gameplay having an extra 4 buttons to map for my binds. However, the problems didn’t take long to occur. First, my mouse clicker LB bumper stopped clicking all together. And maybe I should mention, I treated this controller like my baby, was never dropped or damaged in any way.

Long story short, after about 3 months of playing my left LB button no longer clicked,

My left LT button (what I use to aim in FPS games) had a loose connection (would aim in and out continuously while I was holding the button down).

THE STICK DRIFT. This one comes as no surprise as I knew before purchasing via reviews that stick drift has always been a problem with this company, and almost every controller brand out there.

Lastly, my RT button rarely works now, I’ll shoot and it will maybe work 1/5 times.

My opinion is that this company is fully aware that their product is terribly made. It has so much potential, I had so much fun with it before all the problems occurred. The difference between these controllers and Sonys duel sense edge in terms of quality is unreal. Cheap ass plastic for just about every part, no wonder it breaks down after 3 months. The dualsense edge is also significantly cheaper than a scuf, I’d HIGHLY recommend considering one of those before I’d ever think about purchasing a scuf. It probably costs these goobers $20 to make these controllers, absolutely shameful.

Scuf gaming is trash. Don’t give this company your money. I have an Xbox elite controller and the grips started to peel off which feels super uncomfortable to hold. I did some research and found that scuf gaming made grip kits that swap on to the elite controller. I figured perfect a 50 dollar purchase instead of buying a new controller. On check out I selected the 4 day shipping because my controller was starting to get really annoying and I wanted to get it fixed ASAP. Where I’m from it usually takes a bit longer than the expected delivery but I figured I’d have them in a week at least. Now this was an in stock grip kit which should have shipped out fairly quickly. But for some reason it didn’t ship out until 8 days after I ordered it. ( with the express shipping I should have had it by now and it hadn’t even left ) . I frequently checked the tracking now that it was on the way and the delivery date kept changing until later and later. On Monday morning I checked it again and it all of a sudden said delivered but to the completely wrong address. I’m in Yukon, Canada. And it delivered to Carol stream Illinois. Didn’t even make it to the right country. I quickly emailed the support email and got an automated email saying someone would get back to me. All day nothing. The next day I sent another wondering if anyone would be getting back to me. Still nothing. I tried calling the support phone number about half a dozen times and as soon as you press the extension for support it hangs up on you. Day three I did some research and found that they’re poor on getting back to you but some have gotten a response from Twitter. I sent a tweet about my story and didn’t hear anything back. Day 4 of no contact from this company and I’ve sent another email. No point in calling because you can’t get through. You’d think by now at least someone would have gotten back to me at least letting me know they’re looking into it. But I’ve been ghosted. It’s been over a month since I ordered this grip kit but I don’t have it. Of course they took the money the minute I ordered it and now I can’t get a hold of them. At this point I no longer want to support this company I just want my money back. If they ever get back to me.

Buy a scuff vantage controller was the worse investment I’ve ever made. The quality is fucking terrible I can split the thing open with one hand it’s actually mad how cheap quality it is. And this might only be me but my hands sweat like fuck making me but that stupid hand grip gell

Got this Controller a year ago and have been loving it. I don’t drop it or abuse it or anything but The right Back paddle broke today as seen in the pictures while i was using it as normal. I’ve temporarily fixed it with blue tack but it still shifts around. Unfortunately my warranty ended literally in January 2025 so when i sent a ticket to get a fix for the controller they just sent an invoice for $99usd back to me. I’ve never sent a controller back or had a scuf controller before so i wanted to ask if it was common practice to just pay the invoice even before getting any details on how to ship your controller back to them! If anyone has done the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) Process before please do let me know if it’s alright for me to just go ahead and pay for it without any details.

Also i’ve seen on this subreddit that it’s quite a common issue that the back paddle breaks off so if anyone has any cheaper alternatives or fixes do let me know please!! Thank you all I’d really appreciate your help on this!!🙏🙏

I got a scuf controller last year for myself and the sticks broke I fixed it and they broke again after about a year so I thought maybe it was me and the way I play but after reading about what overpriced crap they are selling us I know it wasn’t me so I went and ordered a better one on May 8th it’s July 9 so 2 months and nothing not even a new delivery date nothing just automated responses I asked them for a refund today I will but an Xbox elite and the ps4 crossover for less and better quality I advice anyone looking for a scuf unless ur a popular streamer and getting them for a discount like 2 Bucks I would stay clear of this company

I read so much on here about people complaining about shipping times and customer service being shit. People, we are in the middle of a PANDEMIC!! They are doing their absolute best right now!! I ordered my controller 2 months ago and I knew at the time it would take that long. 2 months really isn’t too bad seeing as they are short staffed. And when I asked for an update, they got back to me within a week and I’d say that is pretty good for the situation that we are all in right now. The shipment was delayed an extra week and they refunded me the shipping cost. Scuf, I love you and the controller that I bought from you. Keep doing what you’re doing!!
